He dropped out of school at 16 after discovering his powers and ran away from home.

Jason was born while his mother was still aggressively an alcoholic and also probably using. the probability then of him already being basically born an addict was so high. Both of his parents were horribly neglectful to him and his brother. they're terrible parents and both of them are users while his mother is a hardcore alcoholic and his father is a heroin addict. His parents introduced him to weed at a very young age to get him to calm down as a toddler. That was pretty much his life until his 14 year old brother overdosed on some terrible concoction he shot up.

He stays in the city when he leaves but moves far across town. He uses his illusions to get an apartment and then begins to figure out how to manufacture and sell drugs. He very much knows that he's doing and starts working with people near and out of town.

Technically he meets Becky on 2017 but she's just one of his buyers for a while. never meets her in person until they join the legion. he was Lowkey convinced she was dead because she just suddenly disappeared and stopped buying.

He met Payton cause he sold her weed for a little while. They started dating sometime later in 2015. Payton had met Madeline in college , exchanged information and such, smoked together and then transferred schools. she never expected to see Madeline again.

Alex overdosed at 14 (Jason was 18)
His mother was present as Alex died and did nothing about it but tell Jason to go eat one of the brownies in the kitchen because he’s being annoying.
Both of Jason’s parents are drug addicts and his mother is an alcoholic
He moves to Philadelphia shortly after his brother's death and uses his superpowers to get himself a place to stay somewhere deep in the city.
In order to make money, he starts selling weed. (Drugs he stole from his parents when he left)
Eventually, he starts learning how to manufacture drugs on his own and starts selling those
He still sells weed too, but actually has someone provide it alongside growing it himself.
This is how he meets Payton Adler and Rebecca Quinn.
He starts to make himself into a drug lord of the city because of how hard the drugs he sells are.
He moves from just manufacturing drugs to literally creating new combinations of drugs that never would have existed.
Around this time he somehow learns of his parents getting arrested for child neglect.
He’s since trauma blocked the belief that he even had a brother. Believes the arrest was made because of him. He doesn’t feel remorse.
He strikes a deal with nightclubs for the weed and the hard drugs he sells.
He and Payton start dating.
She moves in with him.
He’s started making a lot of money.
He assumes Rebecca (Becky) Quinn is dead because she’s stopped buying from him.
Payton gets a call from an old college friend and decides to move herself to Manhattan. Jason stays in Philadelphia because of his empire.
One of the nightclubs he’s started working with is called Satan’s Palace and they order the largest amounts of shipments.
Jason starts working with the owner of Satan’s Palace. He knows the person’s name is Xavier (they’re only on a first name basis), and that’s it.
Jason continues doing his thing.
Payton calls and asks if he would like to come to Manhattan.
He originally said no.
Eventually he finds out that Payton is currently living with his biggest buyer.
Jason makes the decision to move to Manhattan. He starts working even closer with Xavier and these other people Madeline and James.
He realizes he’s joined a supervillain team. He doesn’t care. He continues working with Satan’s Palace and a few other places still back in Philadelphia.
Becky joins the team with some gray person. Jason’s kinda pissed off. She was a pretty big single buyer.
He tries to sell to her again. She says she’s clean. Yeah right.
James stops coming on trips into Harlem and to Satan’s Palace. What a cuck.
Payton yells at him and he promises to get sober.
He’s lying.
Jason and Xavier go on a deal together and sell to a kid who was no more than 13.
The kid takes one of the pills right when getting them and starts having a seizure almost immediately after. Jason tries to save him, Xavier won’t allow him to.
Jason remembers Alex.
Jason talks to Payton about it. He decides to work toward sobriety.
He fails immediately and then just stops selling to anyone under 20.
He and Payton have another discussion. she threatens to leave him, he can't have that. he promises her to try.

his work toward sobriety is taxing and feels like its going to kill him.

Both of his parents were horrible. they're probably both dead and his younger brother, Alex was his best friend. Jason watched him die.
