oofa boofa time for another one! so this is a bit more confusing bc I have three ongoing stories, each with separate universes so I'll do my best to explain.

Untitled Fantasy: Your character will be given one of the four races: Sa'ekkan (the elven race), Bhugatan (the magic race), Ae'giran (the winged race), or Tsi-dian (the mermaid race).

Shards: Your character will be given a Shard category (Healer, Harmer, or Helper) and possibly a power along with it. Also which resistance group they'd be in (7th Circle, NSRT, or other)

Maggie in the Sky with Diamonds: Your character will be given a role on a crew (Captain, Pilot, Mechanic, Protector, Doctor, or Researcher) and their best skill in that role, along with a crew to be a part of.

Each will also have a more in-depth explanation of anything else related. I know it's probably confusing but it will make sense as we go, I promise! Drop your character sheets or a basic explanation of them below and I'll get to work!

OOOO this is interesting !!

Name: Dennis Dobre (Bridgeport)
Age: 12 - 14
Gender: Male
Personality: Dennis is often considered the baby of the group. He's one of the youngest and was raised solely by the group's leader, making the group his only family. He's a shy young boy with the fiery passion to follow in the leader's footsteps, however, when put in dire situations, he becomes panicky and shrinks away. He's never attended any type of education, knowing only what he knows from the people around him. He has great devotion to what he does and what he intends to learn.
Appearance: Standing at roughly 5'2, Dennis has a tan complexion and large green eyes. He has unkempt black hair that is parted to the right and hangs curled across his forehead. He's often caught wearing a dirty white shirt that is 2x too big for him, and his group's jacket, with his codename ES: Bridgeport written crudely on the back. He patched his pants from an old pair he found and various other fabrics he's come across. He wears a dog tag necklace belonging to someone from the army, however, he's not really sure who's. The group leader helped him pierce his ear when he was younger, and he often bares an open-mouth grin.
Occupation: Currently has none, as the group regards him too young, much to his dismay. Mostly keeps the house clean and teaches himself how to read.
Likes: Whole carrots, warm water, his friends, the feeling of brushing his hair, mud, reading
Dislikes: Stickers, bridges, police sirens, being alone.
Trivia:

  • He has a Pinterest board! (not a lot saved but the basic idea is there )
  • Was thrown off a bridge by his mother only weeks after he was born, ended up being caught in a tree, Eric found him and took him back to the house to try and save, Making him officially the 3rd member of Eastside.

aawww Denis!! I really saw him in Shards the most, so off we go!

Background to the universe: Shards is a dystopian universe set in a far distant future. A Shard is someone with supernatural powers. Shards are closely monitored by Regulars and are sorted into three categories.

Category
Denis is definitely a Healer. The definition of a Healing Shard is a Shard whose powers actively heal a part of the world. This can include plants, animals, and, of course, people. Healers are seen as a gentle, passive group who do what they can to help and keep any anger for later in private, but if my mc Jordan serves one purpose, it's proving that wrong. Healers have the ability to snap and that can get very dangerous. If they're pushed hard enough, whether physically, or more commonly, emotionally, their powers can go from Healing to Harming, as they both have to do with the physical anatomy of something.

Power
I can see Denis as being an avian Healer, meaning the ability to heal and speak to any bird species. This is actually a very helpful power, as it gives him access to spies all over the city. The color of his Power Absolute (or his power when he's using it in full) would be a soft pink, which represents compassion, cooperation, and respect.

Team
There's several groups of Shards in my world, scattered all throughout the globe. Denis seems likely to be a part of the NSRT, or New Seattle Resistance Team. It was the original Shards group, built upon fighting for equal rights for Shards about 20 years before the others came around. The NSRT believes in loyalty, teamwork, and equal rights for all humans, no matter what. They're loud and make themselves known, whereas the later groups are more covert and secretive.

Weapon
There isn't really a long range of weapons that are able to be used, but Denis would probably use a handgun. It's technically illegal for Shards to own weapons, so he would never use it unless absolutely necessary, for fear of getting detained.

There ya go! Hope this was fun to read, it sure was fun to write! If you wanna learn more about the Shards universe, you can read it here. Thanks for submitting and I can't wait to read more of your own universe!

@sheabutter group

Thanks! You got him down really well!, would it be possible for me to do a version of this thread ? With credit/link to yours of course!

of course! go for it! I might be the first to submit mine depending on when you post it!

@sheabutter group

This looks epic!

You know I had to keep her in a space setting, so I put her in Maggie in the Sky!

An explanation: the role isn't a fixed thing, like something you're assigned to at birth. It's just when they join a ship's crew, what part would they play in that functioning little family? Ship crews are usually six people, which is why there are only six roles. (I hope that made sense).

Role:
Blaze seems like she would be a protector. As a protector, it's her job to guard the ship and its crew. Although the whole crew likely has their own weapons, it's her sole job to be the first to move. Protectors are usually very social people and enjoy spending time around the rest of the crew. They choose the job of protector so they can be close by everyone else and they're probably stubborn about it too.

Skill:
The skill depends on the role. For example, in the protector role, Blaze's skill would be her weapon. Now there are no lightsabers in this world, but there are lende, which are swords charged with the energy of a solar flare. Meaning they're very hot and have a lot of kick to them.

Ship Crew:
Of course! Whose crew is she a part of? I can definitely see her being a part of the Escape crew. The Escape is a organized crew of highly skilled soldiers who defected from their roles and now help escort refugees away from the war-front, however illegal their missions may be. A protector is immensely important for a job like this, as sometimes they can be the only defense between the refugees and those who want to harm them.

Thanks for submitting! It was definitely fun to expand on my sci-fi universe! If you'd like to read more about this universe, you can do so here. Thanks again! <3

@sheabutter group

(Here they are!)

Aki
Sun-mi

Doing them separately so I don't run out of room, so Aki gets to be first! Yay!

Aki definitely gives me the vibes of my fantasy world.

Race:
Aki is Ae'giran, for sure. Ae'girans are the people of the sky, and their kingdom is the sky islands that spread out over the Kamiset sea. Meaning that Aki gets wings! Wings match hair colors, so he would probably have mostly a pastel purple, with pastel green tips and accents. Ae'girans don't like conflict and believe it's against the gods' wills to fight with each other. They're known for their compassionate and cheery natures and they love to help when given the chance to.

Island:
Ae'girans love their sky islands and given that there are so many of them, many have their own small private island that they live on, either alone or with their family. Aki seems like the type to have a small cottage on his island, as well as a lot of native plants. The bridge to get to it seems like it would be a simple wooden bridge, nothing elaborate or big; simple and happy! His bakery would probably be there too, and it's well known throughout the country.

The War:
The Ae'girans are unfortunately thrust into war at one point and must choose sides before their people are wiped out. Aki seems like he would attempt to stay neutral until the queen of Ae'gir picks a side. When the battles begin, he would stay on the sidelines as a doctor or supplier.

Hope that was fun to read! You can read more about my fantasy here (although it's not finished yet). Thanks and I'll get to your other character in just a moment!

@sheabutter group

Gonna do this again: disaster veteran, more covert disaster veteran, grease monkey, big lug. Additionally: have a space opera protag.

You choose.

ok! finally bringing this back with Branwen, who is 100% a part of the Bailey in the Sky

An explanation: the role isn't a fixed thing, like something you're assigned to at birth. It's just when they join a ship's crew, what part would they play in that functioning little family? Ship crews are usually six people, which is why there are only six roles. (I hope that made sense).

Role:

Branwen would keep her role as a mechanic on a ship crew. As a mechanic, it's her job to be on deck for any mishaps that might happen while on the ship. Mechanics have to be fast, quick-thinking, and small enough to fit into tight spaces for certain fixes. Things that aren't required but tend to accompany a mechanic anyways are an attraction to shiny things and a habit of climbing as high of the ground as they can get.

Skill:

Again, it would be very similar to who she already is; fixing vehicles. Mechanics have a knack for all sorts of things and Brawen would definitely focus her skills on fixing the moving parts of the crew. Along with this, she would probably have a small pistol that she uses as her weapon, but she's not bad with bare hands and a hammer either.

Ship Crew:

I can absolutely see her being a part of the crew of the Blackway, a crew of older veterans who know how shitty the government is and team up with the other crews to bring their plot to the light of the public. A mechanic in the crew of the Blackway is important because of the amount of air fights they get into and getaways they need to make. With someone on hand to fix anything that goes wrong, they're able to succeed in their missions.

Extra Headcanons:

  • Loves talking with the crewmembers of the other ships in their little rebellion
  • Especially takes a liking to young Ali of the Bailey
  • Every mechanic has a favorite spot on the ship that they just love to sit on/in for some chill time. Hers is under the flight console
  • It scares the pilot, Kellian, every time she sits down to navigate and Branwen's just hanging under there
  • Is quick to jump into work but hates being dragged away from it
  • She dislikes planets with colder climates because it can freeze the mechanisms of her projects

Thank you so much for letting me do this with your character! I always love writing in this universe! If you wanna read more about it, you can do so here. Thanks again! <3

@sheabutter group

In that case, how about a Ceryn?

A STAR WARS OC??? 1. you've got good taste and 2. she def goes in Bailey in the Sky

Role:
so this is a bit unconventional, seeing as she is described as a diplomat and a politician, so that's where she'll go! She's a Third Senator at the court of the Second Republic of the People, one of the few at the court who genuinely pays attention to the problematic amount of crime going on in the Republic's third-class territories and planets. As a diplomat, she would have no true "crew" but she would work closely with the crews of the Escape, the Blackway, and the Bailey when negotiations begin after the war. Third Senators are young, about the ages of 15-17, and are considered the junior officers of the Republic's court. They are in training to become First Senators, who are typically family members of some sort, and unfortunately have a very low status.

Skill:
She would keep a similar skill, being very well-versed in literature and politics to better her Republic. The benefits of this expertise are actually quite vast; she has many ideas on how to decrease the crime rate in the galaxy, how to stabilize the Republic's standing, and on how to eradicate the flourishing slave trade that runs throughout the galaxy. Unfortunately, because of her seating on the court, these skills are overlooked as the majority of the Republic is less focused on internal problems and are set more on foreign relations and territories.

Crew:
Again, seeing as she's not part of a crew, she can't be in one BUT I do have an idea on which crew she would be closest to once negotiations open and it would be the crew of the Bailey. Seeing as she's about their age, she would be incredibly fascinated with their actions. She's especially captured with the idea that they come from all ends of the galaxy and found each other (and she wants to know how they pulled off their heists and break-ins).

Extra Headcanons:

  • she and Maggie get along especially well
  • her relation and guarantee to a First Senate seat would be her sister, Phiaba
  • seeing as she's on the younger side of the Third Senators, she's often lumped into the "baby" group with Ten from the Bailey/Escape crews
  • instead of being Mandalorian, she would likely be at least half Calva, a species from the planet of Tecal and the second most common race aside from Earthens/humans.

thanks for submitting! I love Ceryn sm <3

Curious about my character, Jake if this is still open!

Jake?? you my friend sound like you belong in Shards!

Background to the universe: Shards is a dystopian universe set in a far distant future. A Shard is someone with supernatural powers. Shards are closely monitored by Regulars (those without powers) and are sorted into three categories.

Category
Jake gives off some biiig Harmer vibes. The definition of a Harmer says, "[Harmers] have the ability to harm or kill any living thing in the world. They're taken in if they can harm humans. Otherwise, they're left closely monitored in the world."

Power
Jake doesn't seem like he'd be able to hurt humans, but I wouldn't put it past him. Just to be safe, though, I'm gonna put him as a plant harmer. An odd thing about Harmers is that their powers are a it of a mix of the other two: they're close enough to Healers because of the physical dealings and they're similar to Helpers in the way of being able to manipulate in death/harming. So plant harming could be extremely resourceful if circumstances require it to be. Along with that, certain emotions do certain things to people's powers. If Jake were to ever smile/show happiness and enjoyment, his powers could absolutely turn more towards Healing for the time being.

Team
Ah, yes. Teams are very dependent on where the character lives. Seeing as Jake is from New York, he would likely be on the 7th Circle of Hell, the North American sector of the Nine Circles. The 7th Circle has about five separate factions working together spread out across the continent to make up the team itself. There is a faction in New York, they call themselves the Times Faction (after Times Square). The Circles of Hell are not as focused on public protests so much as they are focused on infiltrations and break outs.

Extra Headcanons

  • He would probably get along well with David Garnier from Seattle's Space Faction
  • Rome was the one to recruit him to the Circle after Jordan's supposed sacrifice
  • He doesnt like staying behind during missions; he prefers to be on the front lines
  • He leaves the Circle after Jordan's betrayal and doesnt speak to anyone still in it afterwards
  • He genuinely enjoys sitting with and tending to his plants and he's got pretty much a whole garden in his apartment

Hope you enjoyed reading this! I love Jake a ton he seems like such a cool dude <3

Damn this is so in depth!! Ahhh, it's awesome! Your headcanons are accurate. Very accurate. Also??? your universe is freaking epic???? Holy crap how do you come up with this stuff seriously? Amazing. I'm now going to reread what you wrote like 15 more times.
