History

History - What is Wundrasate’s history?

Eons ago: There was nothing. Then nothing had a thought. A small iota of an idea which iterated over and over again. Forming the first beings. Nothingness always took them after a while. The beings fought and sacrificed each other to live longer. To exist another day. Soon the beings became smarter and the hyperplane was established.

March 21 1997:

The day of wonder. Wundrasate. The personification of chaos rewrites reality and reveals the magical world to the mundane.

February 20 1999:
MEPPIR is founded in Canada. The ministry has gone through multiple iterations and committees. Their aim is, like with the country's racial mosaic ideal; to co-habitate with the supernatural. If a person is able to prove their stake to the country legally, they can stay. Special Status: Thaumaborne grants special protections under new laws.

Rules

Laws of Physics - What are the laws of physics like in Wundrasate?

Wunm: an element that reacts with every other element in the periodic table. Can be controlled by firing synapses due to its reaction with low voltage electrical currents.

Apart from that exotic element, similar laws of physics are applied and unbroken, though they can bend if enough energy is harnessed.

Magic System - What is the magic system like in Wundrasate?

Always seeks balance. So it takes a bit out of the caster, be it nutrients, flesh, etc.
Think of it as moving information from one place to another.

A separate old magical language intermingling with world tongues create the basic casts.

Technology - What is the level of technology like in Wundrasate?

Contemporary technology. So Smartphones and CRISPR exist. Protection Amulets are mass produced.

Notes

Since the first freak event in '97, every year some extra-paranormal has occurred on March 21. The prime event released over 334 tons of Wunm into the atmosphere and also near space. It takes about a year for enougb to collect and plummet to earth. Every strike produces a freakpoint. Someone ascending into Aemaradum. Rocks gaining sentience and earning a PHd in philosophy. Dogs barking the periodic table in Morse code.

The agency hunts these events and must control them. That's their purpose now. MEPPIR adds support but The agency must deal with the wundrasate.
