We learn where Bee met Fel and how he tracked her down.

Felicity was fighting in illegal magic street fights. After a dead end trying to find a cure for her sister's ossification.

After being pummeled in a fight, Felicity collapses in an alleyway. Mike smells her blood and directs Bee to her. Fel implores in her dire state to forgoe medical attention. She cannot be seen at any hospital. They have a small fight and they transport her back to Mike's apartment.

While trying to find out more about the mysterious young woman and to satisfy his own curiosity, Bee unlocks her phone. He uses her thumb to open it. He learns a bit about the agency. And her sister. And that she doesn't really talk to much people outside her work and sister. She doesn't really like to socialize with idiots.

All the while, Mike is tending to her injuries. He used to be a nurse for 10 years. He's a practical vampire.

Bee decides to install an app to track her movements. It's disguised as a to-do app.

This results in Bee finding her last point of contact as that she'd where chapter 1 starts off.
