"Mhmm." Nathaniel looked down at the table quietly. Of course, humans couldn't fly either, but they weren't in physical pain because of it. Nathaniel's wings were still often in pain, although he was pretty used to it by now.

V passed him a cup of the same tea from the night before "drink."

Nathaniel was confused for a moment, but took a sip of the tea anyways. Doesn't taste like poison…

"it'll help you heal, it's the same as last night's drink." He explained, seeing Nathaniel's face of skeptism

"Alright…" Healing quicker would be preferable, I suppose. "So… uh… how long have you lived on earth?"

"this marks my third." He said "you?"

"Quite some time… I was about ten when I hurt my wings, and I've been on earth ever since."

He nodded "so why were you falling from the sky?" He asked

"Little fight with a demon… not one you'd know. He noticed I couldn't fly and dragged me up there before dropping me."

He glanced up at the mention of a demon "I could know them, you never know." He shook his head, he was gone.

"Yeah, I thought I heard you mention one before. Trust me, this is a different guy. He'd never make friends with any angel, even one as nice as you."

He nodded "why did you know them? You trying to pick fights now?" He teased, trying to lighten the mood

Nathaniel smirked a bit. "Now and again, if someone particularly pisses me off. I'm great at fighting on the ground, but I'm helpless in the air."

"makes sense…but why in Satan's name would you want to pick a fight with a demon?" He asked

"Because 99% of them are fucking twats and have very punchable faces."

He nodded "they could say the same about us." He argued lightly "you're just impulsive, arentcha?"

Nathaniel shrugged. "Depends. But to answer your question, yes. I do love to pick fights when I'm feeling particularly bitchy. Really lets out some steam."

"have you ever considered a punching bag? One that's not alive?" He asked sarcastically

"I would, but I'm broke. Like, no place wants to hire some random guy with burned, 'spooky' wings. I'd scare the customers."

V tilted his head slightly but nodded "makes sense. So you've been living on the streets for a while?"

"Technically speaking, I guess. I don't really live anywhere. I travel."

He nodded "where have you traveled to?" He asked, intrigued by the thought of having on a whim and exploring the rest of the world

"Well, I can only travel on foot, so only the countries or states around here. When I could fly, I wasn't old enough to be allowed to go very far."

"still, that sounds amazing, even if you can't fly anymore."

Nathaniel shrugged. "It's hard. I haven't got any permanent home to come back to when I'm traveling, or a guaranteed meal for today, or the next day, and so on. I suppose there are interesting aspects, but there are a lot more cons than pros."

"so why not settle? Get a stay at home job so no one sees you're an angel and try to get a secluded home."

"I dunno…" Nathaniel closed his eyes and sighed. "I've tried before, but I have zero qualifications for a job. Especially stay at home ones; they usually are for higher end careers."

V sat down in a chair across from "I'm sure that's not true. What are you interested in?"

Nathaniel shrugged, laying his head on the table. "I like fighting…"

"ok….let's say debating…I'm pretty sure you can't fight at home as a job. What else?" He asked, taking a sheet of paper and writing things down
