@murphysgirl

(Hi! Sorry, I had work, otherwise I would have been here sooner.)
Name: Madyson Veyra
Age: 17
Gender/Pronouns: Female, she/her
Sexuality: straight
Team: her buddy is Absol (it can Mega Evolve) - she stays out of her Poké Ball all the time. Her other five are Dedenne, Glaceon, a shiny Carbink, Dragonair, and a female Meowstic.
History/Backstory: Has lived in Lumiose City all of her life. Doesn't have any Gym Badges (she thinks they're a waste of time, just for showing off). Besties with Clemont and Bonnie (the Lumiose City Gym Leader & his sister). Follows the Pokémon Showcase and has one Princess Key, but she's not interested in earning any more.
Appearance: Tall and willowy. Straight black hair with a navy-and-white streak dyed in it. Wears her Key Stone in a choker around her neck. Leather jacket, white T-shirt with a faded logo of some sort, ripped jeans, combat boots. Dark blue eyes. Pale skin, no freckles/dimples.
Personality: Kind. Loves her Pokémon to death. Her Absol is insanely protective of her.

Ampharos yipped happily, seeming to forget about anything that had just happened as he started teetering back and forth on either foot. It wasn’t long before he leaned down to poke at Glameow in the same way she had poked him, smiling with delight as he did so. It was clear Ampharos didn’t usually get to interact with any other pokemon besides Tiki’s team.
And with that little yip from Ampharos, Tiki’s attention flew over to the five. He cut off the woman, who was seriously ridiculing him, with a raised finger and stumbled over to enter the conversation.
“Hello, folks,” he said to the two trainers, seemingly his age. He took off his safety goggles in one swift motion, wearing his own ecstatic smile to mimic his pokémon’s. “Sorry about that. Ampharos isn’t giving you too much trouble, is he? He might have an excess amount of electricity in him, so just be careful.”

(Don't worry about it, murphysgirl! And Madyson seems awesome! The only things I'd have to ask you to change are the number of gym badges (it probably got lost in the replies, but I asked for no more than two) and the fact that Absol can talk. I think it'd be an interesting idea to explore, but the only way in which pokémon are able to communicate in terms of language with humans (excluding Meowth from Team Rocket) is if the pokémon has telepathy. It's not possible for Absol to have it, though. Well, that and one more thing: The bond phenomenon is basically mega evolution without the stone, and since Absol can already mega evolve with the stone, it doesn't really make sense for it to have another form. Besides, that's way overpowered and something I was trying to avoid by asking for mostly first stage pokémon! Everything else aside, she seems like an amazing character and I can't wait to interact with her through Dallas.)

Dallas blinked, then smiled at Tiki. "Not at all! I have my own electric type I'd love to introduce, but I'm afraid she's rather rambunctious. I'd prefer not have to cause anymore destruction in here," she responded, laughing lightly at the implication in her statement. "Anyways, like I just said to Kekoa here, my name is Dallas. And this is Chimchar," she added, gesturing with a wave to her fire type.

“Why hello, you two,” Tiki replied smoothly, resting an arm on Ampharos. The pokémon was very busy tapping his feet in excitement to even notice the contact. “It’s nice to meet you both. I’m Thomas, but you can call me Tiki. Amazing pokémon you have here!”
He knelt down, frayed blonde strands of hair falling into his curious eyes. “Hello, little fellas. Mind if I pet you both?”

Kekoa smiled, "It's nice to meet you as well Tiki!" He glanced at his Glameow who was already rubbing against Tiki, "Glameow loves attention and being pet. She's the calmest of my team."

@just_call-me-Exis

"And same here, to both of you," Dallas agreed. Chimchar looked at her questioningly and, at her nod, grabbed Tiki's hand and bounced in place. His trainer laughed a little, and said, "That's how you know he likes you."

Dallas paused for a moment, looking strangely at Tiki. "By the way… What were you and Ampharos doing back there?"

@LittleRiver local_movies

“Ah, I was trying to create some kind of… super powerful berry. Like a power up, especially for electric types,” he replied, joyously nodding along as Chimchar bounced. His other hand was busy scratching Glameow’s head.
“I got pretty far, too. I’ve been trying to modify the DNA sequence so I can maximize the… scope of the electric receptors, right?” he continued, glancing from Ampharos back to Dallas. “Unfortunately, Ampharos tried one and accidentally exploded the light in my microscope. Turned the power off in the room, too. But since that happened last week, the main store is on generators, so they can keep business booming. But… the back room is absolutely thrashed, I gotta say,”

The girl hummed in thought. "Intriguing," she said. "I've never been very invested in science, but it's interesting to think about the changes a modified berry could bring to the field. Of course depending on whether the effects are temporary or not, I'm sure they wouldn't be allowed in competitions, but the practical uses in everyday life would probably be enough to outweigh that risk. Just be careful not to short circuit Ampharos next time you're testing it," she said, recalling the sparks coming off of the pokémon when it first entered the main room.

Kekoa's eyes widened in surprise as Tiki explained what happened, "Wow…that sounds insane. Do you experiment with stuff like this a lot?"

(I just have to quickly promote the streamer, Theeret. Like he is fabulous, he has a low voice and is really tall, he's always very cool, especially tonight because he is wearing a strawberry dress, a crown, and five inch knee heels)

@murphysgirl

"Dedenne!" Madyson yelled, racing after the little creature, who was running at full tilt down the sidewalk, a galette in its mouth. "Dedenne, you come back here right now!"
"Denne, denne, denne, ne!" the little creature retorted, glancing back at Madyson; while distracted, it slammed right into Glameow, letting out a pained/surprised cry, dropping the galette, and rolling over on its back.
"Dedenne," Madyson said with a sigh, coming over and scooping up both the smol bean and the pastry. "Sorry, everyone. It likes galettes."
"Denne," Dedenne protested, huffing.

Glameow jumped in surprise and let out a small hiss as the electric rodent slammed into her. She shook the surprise out of herself and peered warily up at the new trainer and her small Pokemon. Kekoa giggled while he watched the interaction and turned to the girl with the Dedenne, "It's fine, I understand. Galettes are amazing, I'm sure that Glameow understands."

@murphysgirl

Absol took a bite out of the galette and chewed it, her red eyes boring into Dedenne's brown ones. Dedenne huffed again. "Denne, ne!"

@just_call-me-Exis

Dallas, distracted by the new trainer, didn't notice until too late that Chimchar was edging towards the remaining bit of the galette. The fire type darted between Absol's legs, pastry clutched happily between its paws.

"Chimchar, no! That's not yours. You already had some," she scolded, motioning for the pokemon to return the treat to the other trainer. Chimchar sighed, then reluctantly gave it up, scampering over to Dedenne instead.

"Sorry about that; Chimchar's a bit of a glutton, I'm afraid. My name's Dallas," she introduced for the third time.

“So many interesting little creatures,” Tiki replied, so caught up in his own world he barely noticed the new trainer. His eyes glanced back between Dedenne and Absol, that little urge to write down those diminutive notes in his book tugging at the edge of his mind.
“Say, Absol, you’re quite impressive,” he said, addressing the pokémon directly as he was still crouched down.
His eyes then flitted back up to Kekoa, a smile permeating his face.
“And— yes, I do experiment with this quite often.”
