That's what I was thinking! Although I don't think Dallas would need to be in a pokeball shop since she's already got a full team lol. An herb shop sounds good, tho!
And same! I restarted X a few days ago which got me wanting to do an rp. I'm playing it right now lol

(I was very indulgent in this starter, lol. None of you have to write nearly this much if you don't want to, but also feel free to if there's things about you character or team that you want to explore!)

Dallas glanced up from her map, noting a nearby food stall with curiosity. The sign said ‘Galette Stand’, and with a small frown she looked up the word on her device. “A flat round cake, huh?” she murmured to herself, before pocketing her device and turning to the stand again. She walked up to the person running the stand, offering a respectful “Good morning” before ordering one of the pastries. Her mouth watered a bit at the smell, and it wasn’t long before Chimchar popped out of his pokeball to investigate.

Dallas smiled at his eagerness as he clambered onto her shoulder, sniffing the air hungrily. He turned to her pleadingly, and she forced her face into a neutral expression. “Don’t look at me like that. You already had breakfast this morning,” she scolded, and his tail drooped disappointedly.

The trainer rolled her eyes in amusement and retrieved her order with a thanks, already dividing the round cake into little pieces for her whole team to try. Before she could leave, the person manning the stand surprised her by giving her a free bottle of MooMoo milk along with her order. Something about ordering less than an hour after the galettes had been baked. She thanked him again and turned to the nearest bench, which happened to be outside of a nearby shop.

She let her team out and handed the excited Chimchar his piece, first, before giving the others theirs. Gible and Espeon didn’t seem to like it quite as much as the others, but they still refused to let anyone else come near their share which was, well, normal.

They all finished up their snack and Dallas had them return to their pokeballs while she went to explore the city further. After a while of walking and nearly getting lost, she happened upon a small shop simply called ‘Herboriste’. Upon further inspection, they appeared to sell herbal medicines, so she decided to wander in and look around for a bit.

Kekoa was lost, to put it lightly.

He had never been to Lumiose City before and it wasn't exactly an easy City to navigate. With four avenues, six plazas, two boulevards, and more cafes then he could count…Kekoa was sure that he'd never find anything.

A few minutes later, Kekoa found himself in the middle in of what looked like North Boulevard. He stopped and pulled out his pokedex and searched up what was on this side of the city. While he was doing this, his three hyperactive Pokemon popped out of their balls and started racing towards a stand being run by a young lady. Kekoa stood for a second in shock as his pokedex read out some useful info, One thing that North Boulevaard has to offer is the popular Lumiose Galette Stand. It offers delicious pastries and if you're lucky, you could get a free moomoo milk! Kekoa looked down at the picture given for the stand and then back up at the stand that his Pokemon had run to. "Oh…", He murmured to himself, "That must be the Galette stand. Figures my Pokemon would towards anything food related."

He sighed and began walking over to where the Pokemon were. The lady running the stand looked a bit overwhelmed as his three Pokemon jumped at her excitedly, Glameow being the tamest of the three. "Hello ma'am, sorry for my Pokemon. They're a rowdy bunch."
"Oh, it's quite alright. Would you like to buy a galette?" The lady responded with a smile.
Kekoa nodded and held up four fingers, "Yes, four please."

After paying, Kekoa rounded up his team and gave each of them a galette before saying, "Now we have to keep moving so eat while you walk, I know it's hard but I would like to check out the herb shop on Vernal Avenue…wherever that is."

(So he's a bit behind her but he's finding his way^^)

"So you see, herbal medicine is helpful in a pinch, but it's best for you to visit a center afterwards, anyway," the shopkeeper explained. Dallas nodded in understanding, noting that the description of almost every medicine she'd seen or heard so far included the word 'bitter'. She personally preferred upping the energy of her pokémon through berries, but she could see the benefits of having an actual medicine to help with the more serious injuries.

"What would you recommend for energy? The root or powder version?" Dallas asked her, glancing between the two options. The shopkeeper thought for a moment, then motioned to the root. "Energy root would have the greater effect, although the bitterness is also greater. It's a good idea to mix smaller chunks of the root with berries or pokémon food first, although I hope I don't have to warn you not to feed it to your pokémon often. Not only does it taste terrible, but they might start to grow dependent on it for energy. I'd recommend only using it after particularly tough battles, although remember to visit a pokémon center soon after!"

Dallas nodded again and gave her thanks, then walked over to the table holding jars of energy roots. She paused and examined the different roots, looking for one in good condition that might last her a while.

Kekoa eventually found his way to Vernal Avenue and turned onto it. He had put Electrike and Skitty back in their pokeballs(they had wore themselves out while searching for the herb shop), but Glameow sat upon his shoulder. He pulled up some information on herb shop on his pokedex while searching for the sign.

Glameow let out a large yawn and stretched as Kekoa talked to himself, "…Huh…says here that the plants are bitter, both in smell and in taste…interesting." He looked up and saw the sign that he was looking for. He pushed open the door and his nose was flooded by strong earthy smells. Glameow lazily batted at a bit of vine that drooped from a hanging plant on the ceiling. He stood in the middle of the shop for a minute, taking in the different herbs.

There weren't many people in the shop, only a couple shopkeepers and a girl who was looking at the roots.

Dallas glanced up at the sound of the door, her eyes landing on the Glameow. They widened for a moment in surprise, and she smiled. She waited for the trainer to wander nearer to her, then gestured with a tilt of her head at his pokémon. "I haven't seen one of those since I lived in Sinnoh," she commented. "Is that where you found them, or was it a different region?"

Kekoa looked over to the girl who had spoken to him and grinned, petting the top of Glameow's head, "Yeah I found her in Sinnoh about seven years ago, she's my main partner." The cat Pokemon purred and jumped down from her trainers shoulder and sniffed at the the new trainer curiously.

@just_call-me-Exis

Dallas knelt down, offering a hand out for the Glameow to sniff. "Seven years, huh? You guys must be close!" With her free hand, she reached for Chimchar's pokeball and let him out, prompting him to instantly climb on top of her and peer at the new pokemon. "This is Chimchar," she introduced. "I got him from Professor Rowan about seven months ago, right before I moved to Kalos," she explained, fondly petting the fire type's head. She looked at the trainer again, tilting her head slightly. "My name's Dallas, by the way."

Glameow rubbed against Dallas' hand, purring softly. Kekoa smiled and said, "Yeah, we're real close." When Dallas let out her Chimchar, Kekoa watched it in delight, fascinated by the fire chimp, "Wow a Chimchar, huh? That's really neat, I never got a starter but the Sinnoh ones are pretty awesome." As Dallas introduced herself, Kekoa also crouched down and extended his hand towards her, "It's nice to meet you Dallas, My name is Kekoa."

It wasn’t long before a massive, guttural BANG sounded from one of the back rooms in the herb shop. One of the women working, stacking little jars upon the shelves, flinched, and immediately shoved down her things to begin stalking over to the door.
She opened it with quite the force, smoke following the door as it swung out. A few coughs were audible from within the room, as Tiki stumbled out with safety goggles on.
“Thomas, what did I—,” the woman began, but Tiki cut her off.
“You said that I could borrow the back room for experiments if they were safe,” he replied, quite chipper. “And that was safe. Just… not for me.”
He let out another slight cough before Ampharos nearly fell through the doorway, electricity coiling off each appendage.
“Thomas. What did you do to him?” the woman uttered, voice as annoyed as ever.
“I did nothing,” Tiki mumbled innocently. “Honest. But he may have eaten one of my genetically modified berries and set off a circuit in my microscope light.”
It didn’t take long for the Ampharos to hoist itself to its feet, audibly sneezing out a few puffs of electricity.
“See? He’s alright. I gave him the antidote so he should be good,” Tiki continued nonchalantly.
“The antidote? Thomas, what berries were these?” the woman asked.
“None of your concern.”
“Of course they’re my concern, Thomas..”
As the two continued bickering, Ampharos teetered off once he caught sight of the Chimchar and Glameow in the shop. He let out a slight purr in greeting, almost tripping over himself as he waddled.

(I'm not responding yet because I feel that it would seem out of place but, I love Ampharos so much, it's just an amazing Pokemon)

(Nice! Some of my favorites are Infernape, Manectric, and Roserade)

@just_call-me-Exis

(Sorry for the wait lol, I was eating dinner and watching Kipo with my family. Also, agreed, Ampharos is one of my favorites! Along with Mawile, Noivern, and Absol!)

She shook Kekoa's hand politely, then stood back up, Chimchar hopping down in the process. The fire chimp clapped excitedly and danced around Glameow, seemingly happy to meet another Sinnoh pokemon.

Dallas opened her mouth to say something when a sudden bang rang out across the shop. The trainer instinctively stepped in front of Chimchar, one hand reaching for her bag with all her pokémon and the other free in case she needed to give instructions to the fire type. When she saw the shopkeeper stalk over to the back room to reveal another boy and an Ampharos, she slowly relaxed her position and let her hand slip away from her bag.

"Wonder what that was about?" she mused aloud, glancing briefly at Kekoa before turning to watch the approaching Ampharos. Chimchar, who'd been startled behind Glameow at the initial blast, curiously wandered over to the electric type, chittering in response.

(It's okay!)

Kekoa stood back up and watched the first form Sinnoh Pokemon play with each other. He turned back to Dallas, but then the bang went off. Kekoa jumped and immediately scooped his now spooked Glameow into his arms. He calmed down after watching the shopkeeper talk to the boy who had caused the bang. He acknowledged what Dallas said with a confused sigh and turned to the Ampharos who was teetering over to them. He let Glameow out of his arms again and the cat padded over to the electric Pokemon and gently poked him with her springy tail to make sure that he was alright.
