(Oh okay! I guess I missed that lmao, sorry!)
(Oh okay! I guess I missed that lmao, sorry!)
(No problem!)
(Also, another fyi, since I imagined this battle in terms of anime logic, you're welcomed to use more than just four moves! That's what I was planning on doing, at least)
(Isn't only four moves in the anime as well though? I know that with Ash's Pikachu he's had more then four moves but it was just a new move that he learned and he never used one of the old moves again.)
(I, personally, will stick with four moves/Pokémon, with the exception of Absol, who will probably have five or six.)
(I'm pretty sure that in the anime pokémon don't forget how to use moves, but either way it's up to you! I'm probably not going to use too many more moves with Sneasel, regardless.)
(Yeah I'm sticking with four moves.)
(I think I might have five moves for Growlithe, mostly ‘cuz he’s Tiki’s main fighting pokemon and Tiki seems like the type to train using TM’s, and he probably didn’t substitute any. I guess I’m kinda using a combination of game/anime logic)
“Okay, shock wave works for this, too,” Tiki responded, looking back to Growlithe. “What do you say we combine that and Growlithe’s ember to make sort of an electric fire cloud?”
And, in the meantime, that meant Tiki could get Sneasel and Dedenne rounded up in close quarters, so that way the double attack would have the potential to get both of the opposing pokemon.
“Growlithe, you know what to do, buddy! Round ‘em up!” Tiki called, petting Chespin hastily in anticipation. The Growlithe nodded back to his trainer, muscles still stiff from the nuzzle but wearing off well. He launched himself from the ground, claws digging into the dirt as he chased after Sneasel and Dedenne.
Kekoa excitedly nodded and said, "Yeah! That sounds good, reminds me of something that would be used in a contest." He signaled for Electrike to come back over to him. Though Electrike was a bit confused, he obliged.
Over to the side, the two cat Pokemon were watching intently, tails swishing back and forth.
"Parabolic Charge!" Madyson called. Dedenne leaped into the air and released an electric shock, aimed for both Growlithe and Elecktrike.
"Go around him!" Dallas called to Sneasel, sparing a quick glance at the opposing team. They were up to something.
Sneasel attempted to dart past Growlithe, but some of the electricity from Electrike's earlier attack managed to reach her, and her movements were slowed somewhat as a result. Instead of making it past the fire type, she ended up right in front of him, nearly getting toppled over until Dallas yelled, "Metal claw!"
The ice type lashed out with her razor sharp claws, just barely barely missing the fire pup's flank as he continued on by. Sneasel backed up a few paces, nearing the opposing side of the field with every step.
"It's okay, Sneasel," Dallas reassured her, before whirling around to look at Madyson with panic at hearing her command. "Sneasel! Use ice beam to encase yourself in ice! Don't let the charge hit you, too!"
"Electrike use Tackle on Dedenne!" Kekoa called out. This would hopefully prevent the worst of the attack from hitting Growlithe and since Electrike was an electric type, the move wouldn't affect him too much.
Tiki just smiled, nodding in approval as the Growlithe whipped around the field. It was a trait they had trained for for a while— of course not in the heat of battle but on his grandparent’s farm— the fire type running around with his grandfather’s Stoutland to gather up all the Wooloos.
But his heart leapt slightly at the declaration of a parabolic charge, and clearly that reflected in Growlithe as well as the little pup skidded to a halt, changing directions to avoid Dedenne’s move as best he could. Even so, he caught the tail end of the electricity, the shocks from the nuzzle before winding together to send him sprawling to the ground just before Electrike.
Well, at least they were close together now, and he could see a clear shot between Sneasel and Dedenne.
“Alright, Kekoa, you ready to try it out?” he asked, looking over with fiery eyes.
(Today on: How many times do I have to look up this pokémon in order to portray it somewhat accurately in a battle?)
(lmao)
(honestly same— I have a tab open with a bunch of Growlithe’s moves from X&Y)
(Also I want to let everybody know that I might be drawing each of our trainers with their team, if that’s alright with you all of course. I was thinking about making it like a stereotypical camp scene with them all just sitting casually with all the pokemon. Let me know what y’all think :D)
(Ooh, that sounds absolutely adorable!! I'd love to see it, if it does indeed exist or may exist at some point in the foreseeable future)
(YES! I love that! I'm excited to see the finished product!)
(Do you guys have Discord? I was thinking that we could maybe make a small Pokemon server and we can just talk about Pokemon stuff and I can add the Pokemon bot to the server. We can do other stuff on there too, I just though it would be fun. If you do have Discord, you can dm me your tag or ask for mine)
(I don't have Discord, sorry)
(Oh rip, that's okay!)
(Okay, I sent a friend request!)
(I have it, too :D I’m rivers&roads#1850)
(Awesome! I'll add you as well!)
Kekoa nodded, "Yeah! I'm ready when you are!" Then to Electrike he said, "Get ready Electrike!" The electric type barked in response and crouched close to the ground, focusing on the opposing Pokemon.
"If you guys aren't going to attack… Sneasel, use metal claw again and aim for Growlithe!" Seasel nodded in affirmative, taking an aggressive stance before bolting towards the fire pup, still slightly slower than her initial burst of speed at the beginning of the battle due to the electric attack.
Tiki smiled when the Sneasel started bolting for the pair. He threw out a free hand, making sure Chespin was steady, and called. “Alright, now, you two! Growlithe, use ember!”
Again, smoke coiled from Growlithe’s nose as he took a deep breath in, focusing mainly on the encroaching Sneasel as he shot out a large puff of smoke and sparks.
Fear flickered in Kekoa's eyes for a brief second before he pumped his fist in the air and yelled, "Electrike! Use Shock Wave!" Electricity sparked off of Electrike as he bared his teeth and bounded forward, casting his attack with as much power as he could muster.
