Shas Shos was founded by The Birie Council through diplomacy with the two other main city states of the region, Byri and Pandryl. It was the first major country of Calderi since humans first settled, founded 736 years ago. This was possible thanks to the fertile land that made up the lowlands, which sustained a healthy population growth.

The most recent war was with their now neighbor Beli Republic. Beli Republic was once a part of Shas Shos. Situated in The Merchant's Jungle, Two cities situated at the mouths of two rivers were the trade hub for inland trade sea-bound through the river Alzon. They were very prosperous, but the jungle was inhabited by lizardfolk, who regularly attacked the cities and traders. A lack of defense from Shas Shos and a high tax made the people resentful, and rebelled against them. Through their wealth and their highly defend-able city locations, they were able to win their independence after a 5 year war.
