The Silver Light

Those of Porodicalism call the Lit (followers of The Silver Light) heretics.

Much more feverishly religious, those that practice this religion have their whole lives driven by it.

Thousands of years ago the human Azariah was a simple camel herder when he was lured into a cave where he was met by a silver fire, through witch he claimed gods spoke to him. He then spread his leanings through the land, making The Silver Light the primary religion before Qwarren came about. The Silver Light is still the primary religion in the western desert territories where it originates from.

The Silver Flame believe that people reincarnate when they die into an opposite version of themselves, from light to dark and back again. They believe that when the final war ends, those that won will have their followers resurrected and live in peace forever, while the losers will be forgotten.

The cathedrals of The Silver Light are the most extravagant in the land. While small towns might have a simple wooden meeting place painted silver, in large cities they are the centerpiece, sometimes hundreds of feet tall and completely plated in silver.

The Silver light teaches to give themselves up fully to The Silver Light in all aspects, and live a fully religious life.

This religion prophecies include the belief that one day the gods of light and darkness will come to the prime material plane to wage war against one another to determine the fate of the universe, and the people of the world will be called upon to fight for one side or another.

Daily sermons are done at the end of each day, where as the light of the sun fades away a silver flame is lit. Sermons can be hours long, and when finished, the flame is extinguished, signifying the possibility of darkness enveloping the universe.

A person of The Silver Light is expected to follow all religious texts to the t, and too prepare themselves for a possible war. Men are trained extensively in military combat, and women are trained in the workings of society as well as simple self defense techniques to ensure that society continues while the war rages.

Two weeks before the spring equinox a week long celebration occurs at the holy city of Sarrény, the first city converted by Azariah.

When times are rough, a common ritual is a sacrificing of animals.
When a new group of young men and women graduate from their training, they cut their hands and pour blood into a flame, then sealing their wound through cauterization.

There are many precedes to adopting The Silver Light, but once a sermon feels like a person is ready all the members gather on a weekend to bath the initiate in silver fire and burns a symbol into them in a ritual that officiates them into the order.
