( I hope this is ok, please lemme know if I'm way off with the vibe or whatever and need to fix it)

Name: Romulus Vale. Typically goes by Rom. His cage name is Caesar.
Ride: Yellow lion (or whichever critter we go with)
Role/Profession: Engineer. Moonlights as a cage fighter.
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Looks: Rom is 6'6"/2m tall and weighs roughly 300lbs/136kg, making him pretty muscular and imposing. He keeps his platinum blonde hair cut short around the sides and back, but roughly 6" long on top, usually rocking a fauxhawk. His eyes are an icy blue, and his left one has a large scar running diagonally across it down to his cheek, making him blind in that eye. He has a square jaw and a Roman nose, and was considered handsome at one point, before multiple breaks to his facial bones messed him up. Usually he can be found wearing a grey trench coat full of tools over black boots. He tends towards black, grey, and red in his other clothing choices, colors which contrast with his pale complexion. Rom is a big, muscular guy, so he tends to work/fight shirtless. This has left his upper body covered in small scars, which aren't super visible on his pale skin until you're up close. He typically wears what look like black jeans over his black boots. His helmet/mask (while flying) is a classic Centurion's helmet, with some modifications. It has no plume; there is an open strip over the top of his head, and his fauxhawk sticks out as the plume. It also has metal strips connecting the two side pieces to cover his face, up to his eyes, which he leaves visible. There is a black glass visor that covers his eyes if he needs it. The entire helmet is black and highly reflective, made of an osmium/titanium alloy. The helmet can be collapsed down to just a collar, with plates covering his face up to the eyes. He has a voice modulator that makes his voice gravelly and deep, more of a rumble.
Likes: Getting into fights, building things bigger and better, being a help to those he's loyal to.
Dislikes: Complete silence, not being fully aware of his surroundings, and lots of rules.
Hobbies: Martial arts, artistic metal work
Backstory: Rom is a street brawler. He has had a ton of extensive engineering training, but his love of confrontation and getting into fights has always gotten him kicked out of jobs and programs. Now, he largely does black market projects or high profile jobs where they can afford his secrecy. He has built and piloted various ships.
Other Details: His boots are actually greaves that extend up to his knee when in a fight. He also wears gauntlets which come up to his elbows. These are the made of the same black osmium/titanium alloy and are cybernetically connected through his helmet. The gauntlets and greaves have various abilities, such as extending plates to form shields or extend Rom's reach, or increasing density to add extra power to his punches. They double as armor and weapons, but are tiring to use, which is why Romulus is so strong. The black jeans mentioned earlier are micro-chain mail, but no cybernetics; they just function as armor. His voice modulator can also be used as a sonic weapon.

Name: Caleb Luc (Pronounced Luck)
Ride: Green Lion
Role/Profession: Lab work
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Pan
Pronouns: He/him/his
Relationship (open to or in): Open to currently.
Looks: (picture or description): Caleb has an absolute mop of grey/white hair. It hangs around his eyes, almost covering the eyes if not for the thin, wire frame glasses on his face. Silver/grey eyes, that are very wide and curious. This man is very thin and delicate, looking like a sharp enough breeze would knock him over. Very feminine, facial features, with a soft jawline, and lips that naturally slant upwards even at rest. Standing around 5'5" and with no body mass to speak of, Caleb isn't a very imposing figure. On his face he has the lightest gathering of freckles on the bridge of his nose and around, and a thin nose.
Caleb adores wearing sweaters, as he is constantly cold, and is usually found wearing something warm that goes over his hands. He likes black pants and shoes that get good traction oddly enough, as falling isn't exactly his favorite activity.
Likes: Sweaters, Music, hugs, and sweets
Dislikes: Being cold, not knowing anyone around him, and itchy materials.
Hobbies: Reading, playing instruments, or trying to find music in places not normally heard.
Backstory: Caleb was born a pretty sickly kid, which didn't allow him much time to go play outside or interact with many his own age. He got really into the arts and sciences, being fascinated by new materials. He's a quiet person, but once he warms up to someone he can be rather sweet. As he got older, Caleb always liked watching the stars at night, working on building and drawing models of ships that might one day be able to explore them.

( alright, I'll go) eyros walked back from the ship, blue was waiting and ready. Almost a month ago the lions and their paladins had been founded and brought into a war that they had never known was even happening.
Eyros wondered how his home planet, naulda, was doing after he left with the blue lion.

@EldritchHorror-Davadio health_and_safety emoji_events

(so. I think this is what's up. 4 of the lions have been found and matched with. I would assume their pilots all know each other and are together as a.force, searching for the black lion and a leader to pilot it. Rom and Eyros at least know each other. That's what I know.)

Romulus was lying on his back under his lion when Eyros walked up. They had 'parked' the lions next to each other and Rom had stayed to tinker with his yellow lion. He heard Eyros come up and called from under the lion.
"Hey, everything go ok? You're back early."

@ScotchTapeWorm group

Caleb stayed inside of his Green Lion, he was still getting used to the environment and the surroundings still seemed surreal. Though he was was adjusting better than he'd expected. He ran his hands along a wall panel, marveling at the lights that lit the floor, letting him see his way. The lion always seemed to somewhat anticipate his actions, though he was still working on fully attuning to it. Caleb stood on the ramp to the floor, still amazed at the whole size of the structure! It was an absolute technological marvel, that he was still currently trying to wrap his head around. His vision was somewhat obscured as his glasses slipped down, and he pushed them back up with an absent motion. He could see two lions docked at the moment and his naturally upturned lips curved downwards in a frown. They still weren't a complete unit. Eyes wide, Caleb considered walking over to the others, but he saw no need. For the moment he sat on the ramp, a dog-eared book in his hands, adjusting his glasses occasionally. He really needed new nose pads for his frames, but those could wait. He was too busy comparing actual space with what he read in Ender's Game, a small thing to amuse the quiet man.

@EldritchHorror-Davadio health_and_safety emoji_events

Rom scrambled out from under the lion. He was covered in grease from his elbows down to his hands, and he had grease smears on his face. "Well, that's a good thing, I guess. And I've told you, you can call me Rom. Romulus is so stuffy." He grinned.
They'd only known each other for a little less than a month, so Rom didn't expect the crew to be familiar with him, but… he tried to be friendly anyway.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

The red lion was very dismissive of Codie. How was he to deal with a temperamental machine? He didn’t know and didn’t care. About of all the other, he was sure he was the only one who didn’t want to be here. He resided next to the red lion, arms crossed accompanied with a sour face. He always tamed the controls, not the controls overriding his command. Shaking his head, Codie watched from afar as the others mingled, wondering how they could be so friendly when they just got here. He was not going to adjust well.

@Adam_gets_railed_by_men

Eyros sighed, putting his hand on the blue lion's chest
“ you ever wonder why we were brought into this war, “ he asked and looked over to rom, his eyes looking as if he had been crying, “ or had it been someone else that they picked? Like, why us? What do we have that makes us so special?”

@EldritchHorror-Davadio health_and_safety emoji_events

Rom was Not good with emotions. He had always dealt with problems using his fists. However, in the month since the lion had claimed him, he'd gained a level of loyalty to his teammates, even if most of them didn't particularly like him very much.
So he did his best.
"Buddy…I know why I'm here." He flexed his grease covered arms. He'd taken his shirt off while working, and his physique spoke for itself. "I'm a fighter. I'm here to help the lion bite and tear and eliminate the enemy." He smiled. "You? You're here for something else. Something that made your lion pick you to pilot it. Something that makes you a valuable part of this team." Rom's voice got quieter, just a tad. "If nothing else, I'd miss you if you were gone."

@DancingWithMyDemons business

Leo opened a door, and accidentally walked in to what appeared to be a rather somber mood. Oh no, he thought to himself, I am not getting trapped in whatever is happening right now He turned to walk back through the door, when he looked back and saw a rather cute little man stood a little way off from the others. "Hey cutie." He said walking up to him, and flashing a smile.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Codie flinched when he heard the voice of another. He didn't exactly want to be here. Not a month ago, not now. But apparently he was important to this team, a piece in stopping a war. Codie was friendly, yes, but he didn't fit in. Not here. Others acted like college friends or busy in examining their lion to talk. He sighed, shifting his weight to his left leg. "Hi.." He muttered back, unsure of what to make of Leo. He seemed quite— enthusiastic.

@Adam_gets_railed_by_men

Eyros looked over at the other man, his face flushed slightly against his pale skin “ id miss you too,” he said softly
Eyros kinda played paladin while also playing medic. So he thought that might be why the blue lion chose him

@EldritchHorror-Davadio health_and_safety emoji_events

Rom smiled at Eyros. It had been slow progress over the last month, trying to build friendships with the guys the lions had picked, but maybe he was finally getting through a little.
He noted Leo walking over to Codie and wandered what the stray was up to. They'd picked him up a couple days ago, and he hadn't really introduced himself. The lion had just kinda told Romulus to take him with them, without really clarifying why.
But Rom was learning to listen to his lion, let it guide him. And it thought Leo was ok.
"Have you seen Caleb recently?" He asked. "I had a mod I wanted to ask him to look over." The tech genius had fixed one of Rom's ideas before, and he tried to run everything by the smarted paladin.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Codie shifted uncomfortably, his arms still crossed, inching away from Leo slightly. He was wary of strangers, but it might do him some good. He looked up at the red lion. Such an eyesore of a color red was, but it chose him for whatever reason— despite being very capricious for a machine. Shaking his head, Codie looked Leo up and down. "I'm Codie, and I don't understand why I was chosen by this lion. It doesn't make sense to me." He sighed, leaning against the lion's leg.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Codie picked up on Leo's grin. He couldn't make up his mind whether this guy was trustworthy or up to mischief. He ran a hand through his fluffy, black hair, pushing his bangs out of his face. "Thanks…" He murmured, trying to get an accurate and detailed read on Leo's plans. "I'm not sure. I just know the red one chose me. And I hate the color red."

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Codie shook his heads. “Red is blood. And blood is what is spilt upon battle fields. It’s was spilt when my sister nearly got beaten to death by her bully. Blood is what was spilt when my uncle was murdered. That’s why I don’t like the color red.” He turned away. “And I also don’t like chili peppers.” Codie didn’t know what his role was going to be in this group. Was he going to lead? Be fierce? The instinctual driving force? He had not clue. “What brings you over to me, Leo? I am not that—cute.” He needed to ask, his dusky gray eyes refracting the light.
