Alternate Form

A "form" is an alternate appearance that a being may transform into. It is something one is born with and cannot be modified through natural means, though there are no restrictions on the size, physical ability, or even species that the form allows its user to take on. It makes use of a "form core," a unique Soul Core of Space Magic energy that creates a small pocket dimension in the soul, which contains the physical matter needed to construct the body not currently in use.

The form alters the caster's body at a molecular level, which includes changes to traits such as physical strength, speed, and endurance. It does not, however, alter the mind; if the caster transforms from a non-feral creature into a typically feral one, for example, their intelligence should remain intact with no difference in behavior or instincts. This way, the caster should always have the mental capacity to switch back to their previous form without difficulty.

Some species use form magic on a smaller scale to alter individual parts of their body, rather than taking on a whole new appearance.
