She is first presented as a cool-headed person who always keeps her composure and confronts every circumstance with a strategic standpoint. Her true nature, though, starts to emerge as the story went on.

Akane is shrewd and crafty, frequently using her connections and knowledge to achieve her goals. She is unabashedly ambitious and will do whatever it takes to accomplish her objectives, even if it means putting others at risk.

Akane is a cunning manipulator, but she is also fiercely protective of those she believes are deserving of her trust. She will stop at nothing to secure the safety and well-being of people who have earned her respect, such as her spouse.

While being a deceitful person, Akane is also incredibly protective of people she believes are deserving of her trust. She is strongly committed to people who have earned her respect, such as her husband, and would stop at nothing to make sure they are safe and secure.

Although Akane often seems cold-hearted and callous, it is obvious that she has her own vulnerabilities and experiences intense feelings. She battles frequently with inner demons and emotional traumas since her past experiences have influenced who she is now.

Leader of a pack of wolves

Akane is an arctic she-wolf, leader of a southern pack of Arctic wolves living in the mountains near the Southern Dragon Realm. She's the first character to get an invite to the du Cronos Siege Party, along with the du Cronos siblings. They figured her experience and her know-how about the area would be a big plus.
By the end of the Lair of the Crimson Emperor, she is married to Anthony du Cronos and the mother of Freki du Cronos.

She, along with her husband, Askari, is the leader of a pack of wolves where she works as a co-leader, and their son is a high-class wolf in the pack.

The southern dragon, Anthony du Cronos, who arrived with her brother Owen, paid Akane's territory a visit at some point. She confronted the dragons, preparing to die in a dignified manner despite her extreme fear, but Anthony immediately reassured the pack that the visit was not a threat at all and that he was seeking an alliance instead.

The black dragon respectfully requested to speak with the wolf clan's interim commanding commander.

Akane made the decision to intercede once more since she was curious about the dragon's "truce," given that wolves and dragons don't usually see eye to eye.

The silver-haired wolf welcomed the dragons inside and, just in case, brought two bodyguards.
Akane questioned them about their intentions in the realm of Geist du Cronos after learning that Anthony had asked for assistance in finding the whereabouts of the Southern Dragon Realm's hidden location. She became cautious when they revealed that the two dragons were his offspring; but, when they revealed that his main intention was to assassinate him and usurp his position as Emperor, she once again became intrigued.

Akane was curious to see what her pack would gain by cooperating with them and was certain that they would not relocate to a realm populated by dragons. The dragon reassured her that they weren't really asking for assistance because they knew it was a personal matter and that joining them on the voyage was only an option.

Anthony promised the she-wolf that her pack could live in a snowy part near the kingdom, and the wolves would obviously get better sources of food, not only regular-sized animals but food for a whole day, curtesy of the hunters, who'd kill the prey the wolves find for them to eat.

After giving it some thought, the she-wolf realized how hard it had been for her pack and territory to subsist, constantly on the move and losing excellent wolves in the process.

The wolf made the decision to accompany the siblings the following day since she wanted to take part in the siege against the dragon who had devastated her pack and knew it was her responsibility to put an end to Geist's tyranny.

The pact between the wolves and the dragons was fulfilled for a long time, with Akane being the third person in command in the kingdom, behind Anthony and Amy, of course.

The she-wolf and the dragon made a great team despite their many arguments, and slowly but surely, a flame of passion started to ignite between them.

Anthony and Akane grew very close, remaining with the dragon even when they weren't on duty.

The two were ambushed one specific hunting night, and Anthony suffered serious injuries. Akane opted to spend the night nursing Anthony back to health since she didn't want to take any chances. The two spent the night together, which ended in a kiss.

Given that Akane was still legally married, Anthony and Akane kept their love affair under wraps in order to stay focused on their primary objective of ousting Geist.

• Her character and personality were heavily influenced by the mother of Sesshomaru from the anime InuYasha.

• Freki's intimidating predator stare was inherited from her.

• She's the youngest of her litter.

• As a cub, she battled constant respiratory problems, but it looks like she's outgrown them now that she's all grown up.

• She and Anthony have a 10-year age gap.

• The name Akane (あかね, アカネ) holds an ironic meaning as it translates to "deep red" in Japanese. It's quite amusing considering Akane is a pure white she-wolf, while her son is the one who actually sports a coat of deep red fur.
