Human-passing Caucasian / Eldritch Abomination that sort of looks like a gigantic shark-skinned hound with a prehensile stabby, spiky tail, and a long jaw that splits into four petals each filled with hundreds of sharp teeth. Also has clawed hooves. Claws. On Hooves. Imagine.

Muscular, athletic, built for gymnastics/cross-country running

Katy is primarily motivated by her ambitions to fulfill her academic potential and loves to learn. She is desperate to get away from her family, who are at pains to show her how 'strong' they are and that they are not afraid of her, and wants to travel and meet new, hopefully nicer, people.

Katy compartmentalizes and doesn't really see the problem with her family's diet (sometimes people) as long as they aren't people she knows/likes. She also has an issue with denial (something of a family trait) and struggles to come to terms with her destiny and what this means for her, her family and her friendships.

Katy's major prejudice is against her cousin Ricky - he's largely to blame for a lot of stuff so this is understandable, but she has a tendency to absorb her grandmother's views [Beverley Wend] uncritically.

Katy has won medals for gymnastics and cross country running.

Katy enjoys theories and possibilities, exploring big ideas. She is a good listener, but has different comfort zones with different people. She wants to make the world a better, safer place, and part of that will be achieved if she kills off a large proportion of her family. Reconciling herself with this is not so easy, no matter how much she doesn't like them.
