The only intentional meaning to his name is Shadow. Its supposed to be edgy and a little silly, hence why he hates it and only goes by Jax.

Jax is very laid back and observant, he's usually not afraid to speak his mind and likes to poke fun at other people. Despite this he is still really caring and protective of others and would go to hell and back if he could save them.
He also had a tendency to distract himself from his problems leading them to be worse overtime. He's ignored his own magical training, his mental health, and let realationships crumble because he doesn't acknowledge issues.

Faris was originally from the Ice territory, being an Ice Guardian, and was travelling around the world before he got to Japan. He came across a Dark Guardian Akira and fell in love. The wto quickly settled down together and he stayed in Japan until they found out that Akria was pregnant with Jax and decided that they should move back to the Guardian world as it was a significantly safer place for the both of them to have a magical family.

They lived in Nera, a fairly large town in the Dark Guardian Territory and lived peacefully. Jax grew up on stories of his dad's travels and always wanted to explore the human world to its fullest. He researched as much as he could about human culture and its history, although travelling wasn't possible anytime soon because when Jax was nine years old his little sister, Maika was born.

There was a short period in his life were he was resentful of his sister because her being born was the only reason they couldn't go travelling, she didn't have an amazing immune system so she got sick quite often and bringing her to the human realm for a long period of time would be risky. Akira and Faris didn't really like the idea of their kids growing up and hating each other so they gently tried to get Jax to help take care of Maika and see how she isn't some kind of evil spawn sent from the roots of evil to spite and but rather a little sister to protect, love and care for. Slowly but surely he grew to like being an older brother but still not being able to travel left him to be impatient.

When he was about 12 and still in school, he ended up meeting Evalyn Orion who had just moved in to his grade. The teacher had set Jax with the tasks of showing her around and they just ended up hitting it off from then on, talking about their own interests, likes and dislikes . Eva too was intrigued by humans and the non-magical world so they talked for hours and hours, with Jax bringing Eva into helping research anything and everything.

They started to work out tourist attractions, foods they want to try, types of celebrations and people they could meet and participate with. They even tried to work on what modes of transportation they could take using the books and maps that Jax's dad had collected. Both wanted this plan to be as well thought out as possible and as in-depth as possible, making sure to leave no detail behind.

They ended up planning a five month trip all around the world without either of their parents knowledge. Their main goal was to make it perfect sow hen they pitch it to their parents to allow them to go explore the world on their own.

The secret planning went on for about a year before they asked their parents if this was possible and when they could go. After long discussions and convincing, both sides made a deal that when they finish school, and kept up good behaviour and grades they will help them out with some costs as well helping them out with what places are safer for them to visit. Of course they were ecstatic and spent hours at night talking with Faris with their plans. Jax and Eva both even got summer jobs to help get some extra money.

When Eva and Jax were 14, Akira had become close friends with a vampire named Mine West who had her own adoptive vampire daughter, Zara West. Akira was talking on and on to Jax how he would love to meet Zara and agreed to join his mother over to a small dinner party at Mina's place. After learning that both Mina and Zara were previously human, Jax was immediatly intrigued, although Zara and Mina had to explained how they grew up in very different time periods that came with very different ideals and ways of life, yet they still answered as many questions as they could.
Zara showed much more interest in what the human realm was like now, and how she never got to travel when she was human so Jax showed Zara all his collection of books and research about the human realm and started to teach her about modern times and what she missed out on.

The three of them connected even more and obviously Jax enjoyed him living his life-long dream of travelling and adventure. Although during the last month of the trip, he unfortunately picked up smoking with a group they stayed with for a couple days. Zara and Eva also tried but they didn't get addicted and stopped within their first smoke but Jax kept going, it started casually but then evolved into out of stress then four cigarettes daily. He tried his best to find methods for quitting but within the little time left he only cut down to three a day.

Coming back home, he kept it a secret from his parents and continued to smoke, not wanting to disappoint them. This is where Peter and Jax started to argue more often as Peter wanted Jax to confess to his parents but Jax kept him silent and left him to basically watch his health get worse. This resulted in many argument and harsh words being thrown back and forth between the two that they would never really recover from, allowing the tension to build up over time. Peter overreacted and wouldn't allow Jax to be forgiven and started to lash out against him, forcing Jax to keep him down in the shadows rather than out and about.

Unfortunately after an with Zara not drinking blood properly and going into bloodlust, Eva ended up being killed by Zara leading her to go to face the consequences as well as going to rehabilitation. Jax wasn't aware of Zara's inconsistent feeding habits and blamed her for everything, almost leading the two to fall out but after learning about what happened from Mina, he hesitantly began to visit Zara and talk to her again. During this time Peter never showed himself either, he started to become much more aggressive and disobedient to Jax even when he needed him, fully solidifying their negative relationship up until present day.

When Zara was finally let out, her and Jax were slowly but surely reconnecting, Jax was clear that he couldn't forgive Zara for what she's done but abandoning her would not only raise the possibility of her harming someone else but also deep down he wanted his only friend back.

Nowadays Eva is a no-no topic, they don't talk about her much or mention her.

Has felt a few with-drawl symptoms, most noticeably insomnia, increased appetite as well as the cravings. Although he hasn't had to deal with any major health concerns, his breathing has gotten a lot worse and he's noticed he's gotten sick a bit more often usual.

Having picked up notes of toxic masculinity from the human realm culture, he holds back on expressing his emotions more often as well as feeling more pressure for the fact that he isn't strong enough. He sometimes tries to prove himself to be better than other people, even if he knows its something he isn'y good at

Zara usually helps him, he smokes when stressed so she tries to distract him or offer different solutions. Apart from that he just suffers through it.

Toxic masculinity isn't something he's fully recognised just yet, so its hard for him to combat his negative thoughts and feelings on his self image

Akira and Faris Davon (Mother/Father): Jax has a pretty healthy relationship with both his parents and he's always could count on them for anything. He never really kept anything from his parents and of course they just want Jax to be happy. Akira is a little but tougher on Jax, making sure that he is successful and have the knowledge he needs to go through the world. Faris is a bit more relaxed and willing to goof around with his kids but never hesitated to call out and correct bad behavior . When Jax got back from the human realm, things shifted just a little bit since he wanted to hide his smoking and going behind their backs. Jax does feel guilt about this but in his mind its better to keep it a secret for now.

Maika "Maya" Davon (Younger Sister): Although Jax help some resentment towards Maya when she was first born, of course he's grown to love and want to protect her. Jax does get quite defensive when Maya is around him too much as he likes his space to be with his friends but he wouldn't immediately kick her out of his room unless he told her to stay out. Maya looks up to Jax and thinks that he's really cool and unique compared to her friend's older siblings and is thankful that he doesn't try to avoid her at all times.

Pike: Initially he's a little bit scared of Pike because if her aloof nature but after getting to know her a bit more and understanding that she's just another broken person like him. Pike tries to support him as much as she can when it comes to his smoking addiction as she had some experience with drugs although not an expert. Very causal between the two when Jax isn't hyper due to Zara shenanigans. Jax thinks that Pike could loosen up just a little bit and relax every once in a while. He hates talking about Peter with her, Jax knows she's trying to get them to actually talk it out work things between them and he wants none of it. A bit of a sore subject but its easily avoided. Overall a good relationship.

Zara: Its complex. On one hand Zara has been one of his closest friends and they been through so much together, but on the other hand, she killed his other best friend due to poor mental health. He loves her like a sister and they share amazing moments of being chaotic and stupid, never feeling like they need to hide anything from each other but Eva presents a sore spot in their bond. They try to ignore mentioning her, but Jax tries to help Zara get over her fear of eating and blood overall and make sure she's eating consistently.

Otis: Being they only boys in the group, they gravitated towards each other a bit quickly. Jax thinks Otis is too kind and sweet for this world and the fact that he has to suffer with being the worst combination of genetics ) possible is unfortunate. He doesn't look down on Otis and enjoys talking with him about human culture and even sharing stories about places that Otis has never been told about. Jax does appreciate that he wants to help him get better at training and fighting but hates to put Otis in a conflict position, even if its just training. Despite being half demon too, Jax was never afraid of him and thinks he's wonderful to have around.

Ember: Like Ember, Jax likes to explore and wander off so they would 110% be getting lost in the woods together if given the chance. Ember does remind him of a more mature version of Maya so they have a somewhat similar dynamic expect much more upbeat. She knows little to nothing about humans and as the resident expert Jax would talk with her for hours if she wanted. Gifts her rocks and bark and anything cool looking he finds because he knows how much she loves it and how she'll light up. Very wholesome.

Eva: As childhood friends, Jax and Eva had a very trusting relationship free of judgement. They both of course share similar interests which names it very easy for them to get along and agree. Jax feels like he can express himself with no judgement around Eva and admit anything and feel safe and loved. Very trusting and wholesome, nothing really changed when Eva and Zara started to date either since he was more happy that his two best friends were content and in a good place to be in love.

Peter: Jax and Peter's relationship used to be more stable when they were younger. Being a dark guardian who can raise their shadows from a younger age so they spent almost every second they could together from the moment Jax learn to summon Peter. Jax kept him around so often that he would sleep very often because of tired he got from using his magic. As he got older

Jax's family isn'y particularly religious, so he doesn't have much of an opinion on the deities.

He is nervous about the fact that anyone he knows could be a demon and often wonders how easy it would be to manipulate him...despite this he doesn't hate them and thinks that every demon deserves a shot to prove themselves, especially after meeting Otis.

Doesn't pay too much attention to the royalty, although he thinks have a tiny crush on Prince Tiger...hence then bi-curious

Just as any child would, Jax thinks that the Knights are some of the coolest people in the world and looks up to them as powerful individuals.

He has had no notable romantic relationships, crushes here and there and the short lived relationships but nothing serious.

Jax tends to fall for people out of his league, people with different aspirations of him or unwilling to travel/live in the human world. Its something he's heavily considering and wants a partner who's on board.

The closest he's gotten is a man named Owen Calhoun, an ice guardian who shared the same passion for travel as he did...just only in the Guardian world. Owen wasn't super fond of humans so it was one of those things they met in the middle on. It lasted a few months before they broke up.

-Canonically "Shadow" is a considered a cringy name because of modern human intervention! So he prefers Jaxon as his name because its embarrassing to be called Shadow. At the time, his parents wouldn't have considered it bad, its just how the name evolved over time.
