Skylar: English origin, means “eternal life, strength and beauty”
Jayren: English origin, meanings variety greatly but one can be “pioneer”
Less with her human and last name, but I believe that pike fish are suppose to represent strength and survival. It fits with her backstory and how she is represented during the course of the plot with these two characteristics being her main ideas.

Pike perfers to keep her outfits simple yet put together. Plenty of fluffy sweaters and cardigans as well as turtlenecks with usually brown pants.
She doesn't wear much jewlery, as they wear down a lot underwater and doesn't bother to by any just so she can travel underwater.
The most common colors you'd see in her closet is blues, whites, grays, browns and sometimes gold.

After she gets attacked by deep sea mermaids, she had a few scratch mark scars all over her body such as her shoulders, right part of her chin, forearms, feet and calves.

Angry- Swears but under her breath, hisses through teeth when talking, she doesn't yell either, blows off steam by punching things or breaking them when she is at her limits.

Pike at first glance is a very aloof and serious person, always getting straight to the point and is very determind to accomplish the task at hand. Underneath that she is just a guarded person who has a hard time accepting and opening up to people around her, Pike is protective of people who she trusts and holds them close to her and would easily die for them if given the chance.

Born to Reagan and Tide Jayren, Pike's story was not born into a loving home. Reagan, her mother, was very against the idea of Spriggans and how her child could be taken away so he did everything in her power to keep fae away from her family, using iron and anywhere and everywhere. Unfortunatly this prevented Pike from being taken away into a much more loving place, leaving her with her parents.
Pike's childhood had a lot of mixed signals tied to it, her father worked everyday and spent little time with his family, even when he was home he barely acknowledge Pike as he claimed he was too tired to acknowledge anyone. Reagan worked from home, taking care of her mother, Delta. Reagan often spend her days complaining about Pike and how she wasn't a good daughter, calling her needy and too clingy all the while Pike was trying to spent time with her parents. This created heavy self esteem issues as well as a need to please her parents whenever possible, but she was ignored and put down instead.
Pike did spend a lot of time with her grandmother, someone who she considered her only friend in her life. As a ocean and soul witch, Delta taught Pike everything she knew about witchcraft to give her something to work towards and become, showing Pike her notebooks and Grimoire to study and learn from. Pike took interest quickly in aoul witchcraft and loved the idea of helping other beyond life as well as showing her grandmother that she can be just like her.
Delta later passed away due to health complications when Pike was nine years old, this is when she began her own grimoire as she was not able to open up her grandmother's anymore. Her parents didn't care too much for her practice, as Pike spent more time alone in her room rather than with her family. Unfortunately this lead her mother to turn to further neglect, forcing Pike to learn how to take care of herself from a young age.

As a teen, she began to go out and search for ghosts to help in her town, but since it was so small there wasn't many souls left behind aside from the recently deceased that would have been swifty taken away by Reapers. Despite this, Pike wandered out further and further in search but to no success. She started to focus more on her water guardian magic at this age, training for hours during the day and researching how to fight on her own, although she never truly got the hang of it. Pike tried to get her parents to teach her and help her edit but to no success...saying she was fine on her own and was too needy.
Pike started to snap back at her parents when she was 16, getting fed up with their excuses and lack of presence in her life and putting her down. All the pressure build up inside of Pike and started to get to her head, lashing out, yelling and screaming at her parents all the time. Reagan claimed that she was just being a rebellious teenager and would just get over it since it was all just a 'phase' and nothing to worry about. Pike started to do everything in her power to get her parents to finally say that they care or are concerned, leading her to sneak out at night for party hangouts and drinking, allowing her intoxicated self to put her in the center of attention even if it was negative. Anything that would make anyone notice her.
She did make quite a lot of money during this time, from dealing drugs and drinking alcohol. Apart of her was always focused on sustaining herself since her parents didn't give her anything so she quickly got to work making as much money as she could within the group.
Pike more casually practiced witchcraft during this time, not as much as she did when her grandmother was around but still kept her notes up to date and organised. On weeks when she would spend most of her time drunk and out with people she barely knew, witchcraft became less of a priority.
During this time she did figure out she was asexual aromantic, as it was much harder for her to get close enough to others. She did have one sexual encounter with a guy at a party but quickly stopped when she was uncomfortable and couldn't move forward, he was thankfully understanding and instead they just drank a bit more and went their ways. Pike never came out to her parents since it wouldn't matter if she did or didn't in her mind.
Her group wasn't close personally at all, half of them didn't know each other's names or where they were from which lead to Pike being more closed off, not seeing the point in opening up when they all were there to take their pain away. Pike never became dependant on alcohol, although her anger got worse during this time, to the point where she would punch walls and break objects. She would often harm herself while in her destructive moments, causing many scars on her knuckles.
When she was 17 years old after one bad day, Pike lashed out in her room nearly destroying her own grimoire. Within this moment she has a split second of self reflection...Pike wanted to help others because her grandmother inspired her, she's done nothing with that but set herself up to throw her life away out of spite. Within this state of mind she packed up anything she could take and ran away from home, realising that if she wanted to be better she'd have to leave and start new.
Pike ended up in a renting a cheap apartment, being able to use the money she gained to last her for quite a while if needed. In this apartment she wasn't alone, as she encountered her first ghost inside. It was a young woman who was trying to find something in the apartment but couldn't remember what it was or where it was located. Pike helped her the whole night, searching in every nook and cranny to find any what she was looking for until she found a silver arm band under the last removable floorboard. The ghost remembered that it was a gift from a friend that helped protect from a siren's song, indicating it was a very ancient magical item since sirens aren't feared these days to such an extent. The ghost thanked Pike and was finally able to rest. Pike spent the whole day travelling to the closest Shrine of Death in order to set free her first spirit, she was greeted by Lady Death herself who thanked her and said she looked forward to what more Pike would accomplish.
Pike has kept this arm band with her ever since, almost as a reminder to help of the happiness she had experienced from finally being able to live up to all the time she spent researching and practicing witchcraft for her grandmother.
When she was 19 years old she started applied to become a messenger for a business noble group since she figured long travels would help her find more ghosts to help. She got the job and even if she didn't interact much these nobles she worked well and got paid much better which lead her to be able to pay for therapy. This is where she met her therapist Alisa Allane and their relationship began, prompting Pike to begin trusting other and have a real and genuine friend by her side to support her.
Although therapy was rocky at times, she always forced herself to go no matter how drained she was and wanted to get better and escape her troubles. Pike is still a work in progress but complete stopped drinking and drugs and hasn't looked back since.
When she was 21, the nobles had put in a good word for her to the Water Kingdom which got her transferred to work for King Coral and Prince Riptide as one of their many messengers. She was moved to the capital, Azdart and the King paid for her to live in a decently large home close enough to the castle.
And with that, Pike would finally have some stability and peace in her life for the first time.
Its been 5 years since Pike became a royal messenger, and with the war between all territories escalating she is beginning to worry for her own and the royal's safety and is sent on a secret mission to see an Oracle Angel and report back to the King.
Little would she know, Pike would be one of the few to save everyone from complete chaos and so the story begins!

Aura Therapy
Whenever she has an outburst, she always tries to take a second to breath and apologise if needed. Pike has a hard time stopping outburst from the get go but is mindful afterwards.
Other witchcraft, she often does spells or self care rituals on bad days to keep her mind clear and tension low.
Pike does something called Aura therapy to help with her mental state, which is basically a form of emotional and psychological grounding using magic. For Pike, every two weeks she allows Alisa to connect herself with Pike's emotions using magic and helping her feel and balance out her emotions to almost 'train' her mind to heal and make Pike realise the roots of why she acts and feels certain ways.
Alisa can feel everything Pike feels and vice versa, making it a very intimate process and usually requires a lot of trust. It's something Pike has started about a year ago and using this, Alisa has been able to help Pike from anger outbursts that would have caused her to physically harm herself.

Tide and Reagan Jayren (Father/Mother): Pike does not have a good relationship with her parents whatsoever. Because of her emotional neglect she tried forever to gain their praise and approval with no success. This lead to her lashing out out others and becoming increasingly aggressive and have low self-esteem as a child which does still effect her to this day. She "thanks" them for teaching her how to survive on her own from a young age and that's all, Pike doesn't care to know what they are up to or how they are doing anymore nor do they seem like they cared about her since they never reached out to find her.
Delta Emmie Jayren (Grandmother): Although she never knew her grandmother for very long in her life, Pike did have a great relationship with her and is grateful she was able to teach her witchcraft. Pike helped her out as much as she could in her last years of life and her grandmother provided her a lot of emotional praise and support along with a loving, safe space. Delta is always on her mind and her wisdom sticks with her to this day.
Ember Calidia: Would die for Ember. Pike know that Ember was the last person who she's want to deserve what happened to her family and provides as much of a support as she can. That doesn't mean Pike is good with kids of course, she can be a bit awkward and have a hard time getting into the mindset of being a kid but Pike gives her all the attention she desires. Extremely protective of Ember right from the start as they met when Ember was at her most vulnerable state. Pike still insists that she's not a good role model and she shouldn't take after her but Ember still insists that she is the kindest and coolest person she's ever met.
Jax Davon: Sympathizes with Jax a lot with his struggles. Once she opens up that she used to do drugs and drink and her experience around other people with addiction they grow a bit closer. Pike helps to manage Jax when he's stressed so he doesn't smoke too, although she doesn't have much experience with smoking anything other than cannabis and she is aware that its a much different battle than nicotine. Pike does think that Jax is stronger than he knows and thinks even if he physically or magically isn't where he should be that doesn't make him any less powerful. She enjoys his company although is still disappointed in his chaotic shenanigans with Zara and sometimes dumb comments. The one thing about Jax that Pike hates is how he handles his rough days, him bottling and denying his feelings until he's breaking down. She knows she's not his therapist and its not her job to regulate him, but Pike knows that Jax is destroying himself emotionally even more by not getting help.
Otis Dove: Although she understands that he struggles being half demon and half human, Pike still thinks that he toughen up and realise that good control means less harm to others. She often gets frustrated with is obsessiveness to never use is powers and even if she still would take a bullet for him Pike wants Otis to try and grow as a person and not limit himself to a soft-spoken individual. Pike does like his comfort, as he sees how her past has hurt and appreciates his patience when she is acting up. Pike thinks he has a good heart and will do good in the world as well as appreciates his good intentions but they would never truly click because of their personally differences. When they do argue they never fully recover from it, Pike being too stubborn and Otis being too soft-spoken it makes apologies hard for the two.
Zara West: Since Zara is super outgoing and sometimes loud, she gets on Pikes nerves and sometimes attracts unwanted attention. On the other hand, Pike sees Zara as one of the most resilient people she's met and especially after hearing what her story is. She has respect for her as a person and a fighter and knows that she will heal and do great things in the future. Although with Zara also being stubborn when they argue there isn't much backing down going on and usually ends when someone else gets involved. Pike wishes Zara would tone it down a few notches but despite this they have a mutual respect for each other.
Alisa Allane: Alisa has been Pike's therapist for the last 5 years, they started out rocky because Pike has issues opening up but nowadays they both have made good progress. Alisa is very kind and patient towards Pike, as she should be and tries to make her as comfortable as possible even if that means she has to go off topic to ground her. Ever since they started Aura therapy they both got a greater understanding of each others emotions and occasionally talk outside of the sessions, but still understanding the importance of being professional of course. The occasional lunch meet up here and there to talk about things outside of Pike's mental state has helped Pike trust Alisa much more.
Persona: Hates hurt actions and how she has harmed so many people for no good reason but understands her purpose as a deity of chaos. There can't be order without chaos but that doesn't stop her from getting annoyed with Persona. Pike also knows because of her mental state and how broken she still is that Persona would have so much power over her and hates to even think about that aspect.
Elements: Indifferent, she thinks that they make questionable decisions but she doesn't worship them so who cares anyways. Somewhat respectful
Life/Death/Magick: Respects them highly, since they are the main deities she would worship Pike has all the respect and loyalty to them
She tolerates Persona more than demons since they can cause so much more damage to a person than Persona could. Pike knows the kind of damage they can do to a person and despises their existence.
Otis is half demon, meaning she can have mixed feelings but because he is heavily against his demon side she doesn't hate him for it at all. Plus he doesn't harm people or cause chaos so he gets a pass in Pike's book.
King Coral: Respect with a hint of casualness. The only thing I can compare it do would be that one teacher who you can still have educated conversation with but he chill and crack a joke and it won't be awkward. Professional but not scary professional.
Prince Riptide: Lowkey sees him like the younger brother she never had. She thinks that his fascination with her witchcraft is wholesome and would spend hours teaching him if it weren't for the fact that he has to focus on being a prince first. Doesn't mind letting him talk to her about the latest gossip and scandals amongst the royals, very protective of him and when the war started she near immediately thought of how Riptide would be affected and if he would be safe enough.
Has respect for the knights, she hasn't personally had a conversation with any of the knights besides Tsunami and Lea, but even then its never been nothing more then a polite hello.
Has had no real romantic relationships in the past, does not desire it, or thinks she is in a place where she can focus on someone else then herself

Water guardian magic- Can control and create water at will, they can breath underwater and handle the pressure a bit more than other species but still would never be able to go to the sea floor.
Soul witchcraft- Mostly works with ghosts along with healing, divination and past lives. They can help guide ghosts and help them rest/reincarnate and not wander aimlessly. This is done by helping them find something, carry out a tasks or even remembering who they were in life.
Faery Witchcraft-Works with Faeries which results in healing, clairvoyance, glamour magic. They gain their weaknesses too such as an inability to lie as well as slight allergy to iron. She learns it over the course of the story, so she isn't as skilled as she is with Soul witchcraft
Although not super experiences, Pike is precise and unpredictable with her moves.
She's decently fast and a quick thinker who rarely hesitates.

Pike is allergic to shellfish, she hates this to burning degree because she thinks it looks amazing to eat, even then its not worth her throat closing up.

Pike pierced her own ears when she was 16, it went as good as you'd think it would. She got grounded for two weeks after her mom found out. Its healed over completely by now by you can slightly see the scars over her ear lobes, especially the right ear which was being particularly stubborn.
"Y'know there is a funny little saying about necromancy amongst us witches, which is, and I quote the ancient texts: It doesn't fucking work." -Pike to Jax who, like a dumbass, thought necromancy was an option.
-Spriggans are faeries that take away children from abusive homes, but of course there are Karens like Reagan who don't take the hint and try to keep their kids which usually results in poor childhoods. Faeries can only take a child within the first few months of life so when they take them back to the Faery Realm they will turn into Spriggans, any longer and they will be forced to stay out due to magical barrier rules.
