Lotus was always good at giving comfort to the injured, spending more of her time in the medical wing helping keep their documentation in order than at the front desk long before all the clones of Hati like her were encouraged to pursue their own interests and become individuals.

So for her, not much changed aside from being officially put in charge for the sake of paperwork. Everyone still respects her, everyone still treats her the same, and her job hasn't changed all that much aside from not being called away to help man the front desk and now having a little more freedom to make the changes she always thought would improve the medical unit.

That, and worship of Moriana, the God of Medicine. Lotus believes in using all avenues to help; mundane, magical, and mystical. If her prayers have turned the eye of the goddess to save even one person under her care then it's worth it.
