(Lmao yeah. Mori was kinda just sent off to pick flowers and now he's crying again and everyone else is busy digging the grave lol)

@Tired-but-passionate

Josefine cautiously took the dropped shovel and began digging it. Lyn watched the siblings solemnly. There was nothing she could say right now to comfort them, but she wished there was.
She brought her hand out, silently asking for the other shovel. "Please, you can let us dig it. It must be hard, to dig the grave yourselves. Let us do it." Her voice was quiet but firm. Even if she wanted nothing to do with this, other people were hurting.

@Luz_Noceda

Bean nodded and handed her the shovel, still holding her siblings close. Luka continued crying as Lilac tried comforting him. It was not gonna be easy.

@Fraust

(Nice nice)
(Should I have Mori do something? He's kinda just crying on the sidelines atm and he wouldn't be too helpful for digging lmao)

@Tired-but-passionate

Lyn nodded her thanks as she took the shovel. Taking a deep breath and shaking her head to clear it, she helped Josefine dig. What must have been several hours later, they had a rectangular pit about 5 feet deep. Both girls were sweating and breathing hard, sitting just outside the makeshift gave in defeat. At this point, they'd asked Mori to get snacks for everyone, so there was a pile of empty plastic water bottles and bags and things off to the side.
"I think it's done?" Josefine panted. Lyn leaned on her shoulder, taking deep breaths. The physical work actually hadn't been as bad as she thought. It helped clear her mind, but she was exhausted.

@Luz_Noceda

Luka at this point had stopped crying and was now asleep against his siblings. He cried so much that he got tired. Bean and Lilac were looking at the sky, holding Luka close to them.

@Fraust

Mori was still very quiet and shaky, and occasionally burst into soft bouts of tears, but he seemed to be overall okay. His gaze was a bit distant, and he seemed to be growing somewhat numb to the situation. At the present time, he was staring blankly at the covered body from about ten feet away. Although more numb to the situation, he was still noticeably scared to be near the body.

"Yeah, it's done," Tohru confirmed.
He pushed himself up out of the hole, his arms feeling like jelly. Yet, he'd probably have to be the one to take the corpse over there too. He'd be able to, but by God, he dreaded it.
Tohru began walking back towards Hailey's body, uncovering her from beneath the sweatshirt and lifting her up from the bedroll.
He eyed the other siblings, a frown etched into his face and a hard furrow set into his brow.
Tohru's arms were burning as he carried her on. He was strong in some ways, but heavy lifting wasn't his thing.

@Luz_Noceda

Lilac held the cat headband as she noticed Tohru carry Hailey’s body. She wanted to ask if he needed help but for some reason the words wouldn’t come out. She sighed as she leaned back against her siblings.

@Becfromthedead group

Tohru carefully hauled Hailey into the grave. He was clearly tired, huffing quietly to himself. Sweat poured down the back of his neck and beaded at his hairline.
But it was fine. Fine.
He wasn't about to ask these poor kids to do it.

@Fraust

Mori hesitated before quietly wandering over to the grave. He looked down at the body and paled again, holding his breath to try and keep himself under control. He knelt beside the hole and held out one trembling hand to drop the flowers he'd picked inside. He felt a bit woozy at this point. The body and the nausea in addition to his refusal of food for the entirety of the day weren't helping, of course. He'd had some water, but was otherwise afraid to eat for fear of throwing up again.

@Luz_Noceda

Bean moved Luka against Lilac and got up, heading to the grave. She stayed silent as she put a hand on Mori’s shoulder.

@Fraust

Mori looked up when Bean came over and hiccuped, tightly gripping the fabric of his pants as he trembled. A couple fresh tears rolled down his cheeks and he closed his eyes, not wanting to see the body anymore. The flowers he'd gathered lay scattered on Hailey's body, a small pop of color in an otherwise dreary scene.
