(Oh no. I love this RP! No worries I'm just swamped in stuff to do and not doing it.)
(Oh no. I love this RP! No worries I'm just swamped in stuff to do and not doing it.)
(lol same and alright I guess we can continue then!)
Matt looks a bit surprised by this "Oh wow, no I actually didn't know. See, I'm kind of new here so I really don't know much about the place.."
"Ah! Well, now you know!" She beamed at him. "Anyway, that's where I'm going… thankfully I needed my card for it or I wouldn't be on here at all…"
Matt nods and smiles "Yea, they were being a real stick in the mud on letting you get on…also, if that's where the shopping district is how are the people in the lower class even suppose to get what they need?"
"Oh, there are shops everywhere. Especially the Black Market…" She let out an exhale. "Everyone knows how bad the BM is."
Matt stares at her sort of blankly "T-the black market?…So…everyone goes to the black market to buy things they need? No, wait, what?- you know what? Ignore me, because I'm a complete fool to these things- Wait. Let me guess, the shops aren't as good as the upper class am I right?"
(also I have to go somewhere with my mom right now (that somewhere being church) so I'll be out for a bit)
(Okay!)
The woman tilted her head. “I… I don’t know. I’ve heard higher quality stuff is sold there for a lot cheaper, though, since the government taxes everything in the higher shops.”
(ah geez, sorry I left ya hanging there yesterday I sorta kinda had to do my homework since I didn't want the teacher to kill me lmao, but I'm here now so I'll continue!)
Matt nods with downcast eyes, looking at the book she gave him "Huh, I see, well that's kind of unfair. The government should fix that…that is if they even care to do it."
(Meh tis oki)
The woman shrugged with a slight scowl. “The government’s not going to fix anything, period. They want to make the most money.”
Matt stays quiet and nods silently "I-I see, well we should fix it and have every one thank us for it," He says silently, not knowing if it was the right time for a small joke.
She gave a soft snort. “Everyone in congress. Maybe when they screw their heads back on they’ll do something.”
Matt was about to nod, all serious and junk then lost it when she finished her sentence "Pfffahaha well that's one way to put it" He forces his laughter to die down to a chuckle.
The woman gave a humorless laugh and smile. “Yep, it sure is. I highly doubt we should call them a congress anymore, though.”
Matt smiles and gives a slight shrug "Well even though they're kinda cracked in the head I suppose they still run this country, after all, there's kinda nothing we can really do about it"
“Yeah? I heard we used to be able to vote who we had up there.” She gave him an awe-struck look. “Weird, yet awesome, right?”
Matt raises an eyebrow. "You sure about that?" He pauses for a second to think about this. "Huh, that's actually kinda cool" He turns to the woman. "And yea," He says nodding. "That does sound weird and cool at the same time"
“Yeah. I read it somewhere. The people actually had rights to their government.” She looked off with a scowl on her face. “Too bad it’s not like that now…”
"Oh, you mean the bill of rights? I think that's what they were called.." He trails off then sighs. "I wonder when they'll start caring-" Then Matt this brilliant naive idea. "What if We the people, do something about it? I mean it can't possibly be that hard to get them to change…right? Well. Actually. That would be tough.." He says frowning, looking as if he were thinking up a plan.
The woman shook her head. “It’s much too late for the government, or even us, to change the Declaration.”
Matt sort of sighs and pouts like a little kid would. "Well that's a shame, I guess we're all screwed then" He smiles wryly, thinking that this place that had a horrible connotation would be the same place he'd spend the rest of his life. "Cool." He says answering to his own thoughts.
The woman glanced at him with a slight nod. “Indeed. We are.” She sighed then laughed at his ‘cool’.
“What is that about?”
Matt laughs, noticing what he had said "Well, would you believe me if I said that I have these tiny conversations in my head? But I'm not insane I swear" He says putting his hands up in front of himself defensively.
The woman waved her hand. “Eh, we all do it!” She gave another bright laugh. “No worries.”
Matt smiles warmly at her laugh then puts his hands back down. "I have a question.." He says still smiling a bit. "I don't think I ever got your name, soooo…what's your name? If you don't mind me asking"
“Oh, no I don’t mind! My name’s Annora.” She smiled warmly. “You can call me Ann. How about you?”
Matt smiles and thinks "If I weren't on this ungodly train then I'd be able to bow and make myself look cool like my brother does" but then dismisses the idea quickly and waves awkwardly "Name's Matthew, but you can call me Matt….some people like to call me Mathias" He scowls a bit, since he doesn't really fancy the name Mathias.
The woman noticed his scowl. “I won’t call you Mathias, then!” She gave a soft laugh. “It’s great to meet you!”
Matt laughs, seeing how she noticed his low scowl when he mentioned the name 'Mathias'. "Thanks, I appreciate it and nice to meet you too, sort of late for that but it's still nice to meet you~" He half smiles.
Annora smiled warmly. “I’ll try the best I can. Are you going anywhere important?” She tilted her head as she asked the question.
(Heya, I gotta go to sleep if we could continue this later that would be super? Also, I don't think I'll be on tomorrow so probably Saturday or Monday?)
