Matt shakes his head a bit. "No, I just happen to be going to the fourth segment…like you, but I swear I'm not following you- even less trying to stalk you," He says quickly and defensively.

Ann gave a gentle laugh, waving her hand. “Don’t worry about it. You don’t look like the type to follow someone around.” She gave him a critical look. “Do you have anywhere to sleep? I have room in my cottage if you’d like a resting place.”

Matt brightens up at the offer "Y-yea! I mean, no I don't have a place to stay so yea that would be great…if it isn't such a bother" He smiles a bit.

Ann waved a hand. "It's not a bother. It's a good way to make sure I get my book back, too." She let out a laugh.

Matt turns a bright red "I-I would have somehow still gotten it to you..! S-somehow…I think." He smiles a bit uncomfortable, knowing that maybe that wasn't so true.

She waved her hand. “I’m pulling your leg! Once I get the food I need we can go back. Did you have any reason for going to the fourth Segrement? I didn’t want to deter you from somewhere.”

Matt laughs, still a bit red "yea I know I just, you know, I'm not that kind of person that borrows something then never gives it back haha…" awkward….what the hell did you have to say that for?? "And no, not really. I guess I was just going to take a tour of the place, get to know it a bit better," He stops then adds quickly "But it's not that important!"

Ann waved a hand as if telling him to relax. “I understand. If you wanted to walk around without me, and we could meet up, I’d be cool with that.”

Matt looks away shyly and mutters "Or I could walk around with you while still getting a tour of the place…" then says "Y-yea..if that's cool with you then yea l-let's do that…"

Ann smiled and nudged him. “Either one is fine with me, Matt! You’d have to put up with me if you went with the first, though.”

Matt blushes a bit and faces her. "T-then that would be ideal- I mean, I would love to walk around with you..if that doesn't sound so creepy" He laughs a bit at his lame joke.

Ann met his gaze steadily and nudged him again, smiling. “I don’t think that sounds creepy. You’re right with it being ideal. It wouldn’t be so great to walk around by myself.”

Matt beams "Y-yea, wouldn't be nice for you to talk around these dangerous streets," He says, not knowing if they were 'dangerous' like he said.

Ann nodded darkly in agreement. “Especially now, with gov’t agents everywhere.”
