She didn't exactly under stand what he meant she just listened before he stormed off she hurried to her room as shut the door behind her with a click and then locked it her hear was beating so fast she could hear it all around her she sat down on her bed taking deep breaths trying to calm down

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

(Sorry for slightly absent, I've been quite busy with family since I'm on vacation)

Nathaniel was sitting in the glass pile, his face covered in blood. He wiped the cut on his cheek with the back of his hand, smearing blood all over it. Skin quickly mated together as the wound quickly healed. It was nearly impossible for the king to stand up due to his wobbly legs. Nathaniel grabbed onto the bed, pulling himself up, glass crunching beneath his boots. Smears of blood remained after all of his wounds on his face, arms, and legs had healed completely. He approached his door and grabbed the handle. While waiting for his body to become stable, the king struggled to stand. He yowled for a servant to clean up the mess as he yanked open the door. He stumbled down the hallway and collapsed on Ember's door. Nathaniel banged on it. "I won't harm you," As a result of his yelling rage, Nathaniel's voice was raspy. He was surrounded by an obvious aura of rage, even through the door. "Girl, I want to talk." Another impatient knock was pounded on the door.

(It's okay I understand that vacation is always busy!)

Ember was sitting on her bed thinking over everything she has already been through, down here in one day but in a way, it was safer than living on earth she had this nervous feeling in her stomach almost like she was in danger if she stayed here for too long she had just started to calm down before there was a loud bang outside her door she jumped off the bed gasping and when she heard his voice was when she felt her body go cold she stood there for a minute 'I won't harm you.' he says but can she even trust that? She took a deep breath and in locked the door slowly and backed away from it "come in." She spoke softly as she sat back down

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Nathaniel reached up, latching onto the door knob, and twisting it. The door creaked open, but no one entered. Heavy breathing could be heard from the hall as if the person had ran 10 miles. The demon poked his head into the room, blood splattered on his face and eyes like a deep ocean void. He cracked a twisted smile. "I promise I won't hurt you." Nathaniel got to his feet, strolling into the room. His black suit now had oddly placed blood stains. "I maybe a little deranged, but I'm not awful. You could, after all, suffer with me than by me." His words did not make sense in the current moment, but would be understood later. Staggering over to the bed, he carefully sat on it, looking up at Ember. "Did you understand a lick of what I said earlier? Or did my uncontrollable rage scar you?" Everything about Nathaniel in the current moment was off. His voice, face, clothes, aura, everything. "You could be an anchor, you know." He paused and mumbled. "If you were nicer to me." The king looked at the demonic mark on her shoulder and smiled. "You might not want to go home. Azazel told me things have gotten worse. They scarred his wondrous wings." He picked a piece of glass off his suit and closed his hand around it. Blood welled up at the site, the glass nowhere to be seen. "My blood is a special kind." The wound healed instantly. "It's royal blood. A type only I can possess, but it also turns humanoid creatures into their demonic counterparts."

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

Ember stared at the open door in confusion before Nathaniel walked in stumbled was more like it she felt uncomfortable once he sat next to her "i-i understand you need an anchor." She paused once he said that "what do you mean me? I'm not gonna be nice to the person who treats me like the mud on the bottom of their shoe I'm not that type of person." She looked at his hand in shock she didn't know other people could heal like she could and looked up at his face " why are you telling me this?"

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Nathaniel was calm, despite his appearance that suggested otherwise. Well, calm until he slammed his hands against the bed's edge. "Do I need to be direct with you, Ember, and less suggestive?" His scar twisted with the sour expression, his navy blue eyes a hurricane of annoyance. "A physical anchor could be you. They do have a tendency to appear when you least expect them." His mouth twisted into an intriguing kaleidoscope of a smile as he drew nearer to her face. "This is why I'm telling you, Ember; you have a few options. Your first error was choosing to remain here; that was your own downfall. Either accept my offer or reject it." Nathaniel flicked his hand and claws appeared. He slashed at his own palm and held up the hand he had cut with his claws. "Take my blood and permanently turn into a demon dog, or at the very least, acquire some demonic powers." His palm began to dribble blood, dripping down his wrist, and falling onto his leg. "You're not required to, but it's suggested." He put his hand down after the cuts had healed. "Regarding being a physical anchor. Do you have the guts to tell me to stop before I start killing everyone and everything in my path?" Nathaniel raised an eyebrow.

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

She jumped back when he slammed his hand down breathing frantically as she stared at him she listened to what he had to say and before she knew what she was doing she looked at his had that was now bleeding once again and nodded her head "o-okay.. I'll do it. " she paused for a moment looking at him hearing his last words and she nodded once more it it my job I shall do it correctly her face was emotionless as she made her decision she felt as if she had just sold her soul to him

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Nathaniel grinned. He grasped Ember’s face gently. “You’ve made three deadly mistakes, girl. You will reap what you sow. You'll never be able to comprehend how terrible suffering under the devil is. Or your actions.” He dropped his hand, letting Ember’s face go. Had she just sold her soul to him? A curious question that could be evident in do time. Nathaniel stood up, held his hand out, and his scythe materialized in it. He wrapped his hand around the tang and held the other one. His hand was pierced by the purple-blue weapon's tip. The weapon's snath hit the ground as he pulled the chine down. Blood spilled down his arm and onto the ground as flesh tore. “What method do you want to use? ” His eyes lit up as he pulled a vile out of his suit pocket. Collecting the blood in the vile, the flesh molded itself around the wound, stopping the blood flow. Pushing the corkscrew in the vile with his thumb, he looked to Ember. “Not the best way to collect blood, but it’s definitely the fun way!” The glimmer in Nathaniel’s eyes was something else, something insane, something dark, something otherworldly. "Well, take this, dear." He tossed the vile to Ember. “Soon, a physical anchor won’t work as well. Soon an emotional will have to keep me bound to reality.” He examined the hand he had just ripped apart. “Love always does the trick.”

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

She flinched slightly at the touch but didn't move she only stared at the 'man' before her, fear striking her as she listened to what he was saying 'suffering' she felt in danger but she didn't run she only sat there as calm as she could be during this situation she let out a breath when he let go of her and watched as he sliced open his arm with no hesitation watching as his blood poured into the small bottle the smell of his blood filled embers lungs it didn't smell like any blood she'd ever tasted it was hard to explain the scent she caught the vile when it was thrown to her seeing the look in his eyes she realized this man was insane she was curious what he meant my emotional anchor until he said 'love always does the trick
"Love? What do you mean love?"

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Nathaniel looked over to Ember, realizing the fear she held. "I'm not a horrible monster, Ember. Do you think I'm gone?" He raised an eyebrow, resting his back against the wall. "I'm not too terribly insane, I still have some sanity left." He pawed at his face, trying to wipe away excess blood. The king needed to clean up for the second time today. It seemed he always soiled his clothes. "Drink the contents of the vile. It won't kill you." The stench of blood that lingered in the air was sweet. It was almost alarming how sweet it smelled, but the demon didn't seem to be on edge. It was as if this was a normal occurrence. His smile reflected his mental state like broken glass. "Love? How dense are you, girl? I mean affection. A relationship. All of it. It’s easier to live when you have something to take care of.” Nathaniel's eyes stared into Ember's, sinking into their orange hue. The demon seemed charming in his own way, despite the insane horrors Ember's seen. Despite the rage that consumed him. And despite the broken mirror that was his face. "Calming me down won't work for long. My wrath will break through the chains, turning me into an unstopped able beast. One that will never be tamed." His tone switched to one of mockery. "You don't want that, do you?"

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

Ember looked away almost embarrassed that he saw her at a weak point but quickly covered her fear "I don't think your mad I'm just concerned that you've cut your hand opens three times already." She had a small smile on her face as she was trying to lighten the mood and little before looking down at the vile and taking the cork out of the bottle before taking a breath "okay.." She raised the bottle to her lips before drinking the blood inside she made a face at the taste of it and looked up a Nathaniel wiping her mouth "I'm not dense I'm confused as to why you would spend to me about being your anchor and then speak of love to how am I supposed to provide you that feeling? And no I wouldn't…"

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Nathaniel waved his hand, unconcerned he had hurt himself repeatedly. He appeared to relish it. "Wouldn't that allegedly make me insane? I did enjoy opening my hand up several times." He grinned while capturing an unsettled mind in a ravishing way. He didn't appear to have lost his temper or to be overcome by the profound wonders of a fractured reality. However, Nathaniel did appear to be—born of a manipulative kind. His smile fissured wider when Ember drank the blood. His blood. “It doesn’t have a bad taste. It’s like peaches with sugar, isn’t it? Since it takes time to overwhelm your cells and tamper with your DNA, you won't notice the changes right away." He cocked his head, his eyes sparkling with an odd emotion. "You see, love. You fall into it. That’s how it works.” He plodded closer to Ember, wings unfurling to make himself look regal, grander than he already was, but also threatening. “Right?” The king gritted his teeth, speaking through them. "Do not even think about lying to me! You'd rather I turned into a beast because it's simpler to flee that way, don't you think?" Nathaniel struck the wall, making a dent in the stone with his hand. He might as well have gone crazy. His body shuddered, and his breathing was labored. He jerked back and cast a quick glance at Ember. His eyes burned with a bright fire. "I made a promise not to hurt you, and I don't lie through my teeth. I'm going to let you be." He quickly left the room, slamming the door behind him.

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

She shook her head with a smile "well I suppose to some people it would, you enjoyed it?" She laughed a little bit setting the bottle down on the bed and looked up at him "it does taste like peaches… it's really sweet I'm not used to blood testing like that, I wouldn't expect to feel anything right away, and as far as love goes…ive never felt it before I never had the chance to.." She was surprised at his sudden outburst but at the same time she was expecting it she stood up to reason with him but was greeted by her door as it was slammed in her face "well that could have gone better."

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Nathaniel stood out in the hall, collecting his inner thoughts. I am fucking losing it, aren’t I? Eh, who cares. The beast will claw its way out soon. His slammed his back against the cream marble wall. Well, aren’t the best always a little mad? Many thoughts consumed his head, and a laugh escaped his lips. What a foolish girl! I wonder if she had lost her mind! “Love..” He whisper quietly. “What a strange concept.” As far he knew, he was alone in the hall, staring at the red carpet. The king play with the hand he’d punch the wall with. Nothing had happened to it. No broken bones, no blood, no bruises. It was fascinating. He looked up, stretching his body before leaving to ponder downstairs.

With blood on his face and a plan in his amazing mind, he strut into the war room. This room wasn’t grand. The walls were a dark stone and floors a black marble. A huge table with multiple chairs sat in the middle, maps and plans lining the walls. This table had a screen in the middle of it, allowing the demons to pinpoint and draw their next target. Around this freakishly long table sat around 18 demons, with two hanging around in the corner. Nathaniel proudly took his seat at one of the ends of the table. A black haired demon with purple eyes like wine spoke up.

“The girl?”

“She’s of no trouble, Azazel. You job is forge weapons and command an army. Not to go wolf hunting.” Nathaniel put his index finger to his temple, board of this interaction. His tone in particular was dismissive.

“Wolves are know to cause trouble, sire. She could, after all, be a spy. And yet you ask her to love you.” Azazel raised his eyebrow.

“Fuck off. You know nothing about my situation. You shouldn’t be sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong. Clear?”

Azazel slammed his hands on the table. “It’s better to kill trouble before it causes trouble! I do not care about your great plans or what vital role this girl may play she—“ The demon was cut off.

Nathaniel stood up, the wrath in his eyes growing stronger. Fire patterns faintly glowed on his body and his wings shot out from his back. “DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR! YOU LEAVE EMBER OUT OF YOUR USELESS QURALS.” He leaned over the table, face to face with Azazel. He almost reached over to choke the demon before his lieutenant put his hand on the kings arm.

Nathaniel yanked his arm out of his lieutenants grasp. Before walking out of the war room, he punch Azazel in the face, making the demon suffer for his egregious statements. The king had slunk back into his personal study, banging his head against the wall.

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

She sat down on the bed shaking her head "I guess hell be back later then. " she wondered over to the vanity and searched through the drawers for some stuff for her hair a pair of scissors that she do the trick she picked them up and sat down looking at the mirror she picked up a a strand of hair and shook a deep breath before cutting it, it took her about 20 minutes to cut her hair and it was a little past her shoulders and it was surprisingly curly now she looked at her self in the mirror her eyes glowing a bright amber and her hands shaking a little she tightened her grip on the scissors in her hand and she took a breath setting them down and stood up before pacing the room her body felt strange she was hot and tingly she felt nauseous but something stopped her from throwing up she sat down on the bed trying to collect herself as the room started spinning

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Nathaniel steadied himself, the heart in his chest pounding against its chambers. The fire patterns had since faded, leaving the king to ponder his breaking point. Maybe his anger wasn’t as bad as previously presumed. Or maybe he was wrong. A gush of blood flowed through his mouth. His fangs had sliced open his inner lip. At that moment, he knew he need to conduct another killing. And who better to bring with him than Ember? Swinging open the door to his study, the demon wondered over to the werewolf’s room. All the fiery lights in hall flickered as he passed, the red glow in his eyes gaining strength. Nathaniel knocked on the girls door and proceeded to shove it open without any say of entrance.

“Guess what, Ember. We’re going hunting! I need to feed my blood frenzy and I’d rather not kill another of my personnel.” His smiled was— damning to say the least. It resembled a child in a candy store. Excited. “It’ll be our little outing. And we could possible murder a few of those hunters. Human hearts do have an intricate taste to them.” Smirking, he gave Ember a little side eye. “Ever killed a creature before? Or new to the hunting ideal?” Reaching out, his scythe materialized in a glimmer of purple. “Not that I possibly would need my weapon, it’s best to be prepared.” He shrugged, swinging the scythe carelessly.

“Let’s go! I am the only one who can open portals to the Overworld.” Looking back at the girl, he noticed her physical health dwindling. “You’ll be okay. Bloodshed does help with the process. I’m sure you’re aware.” Nathaniel smiled crookedly. “The crickets will be silent tonight.” Going hunting with a wrathful, overzealous King of Hell, what could possibly go wrong?

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

She was laying on her side curled into on herself when Nathaniel walked in she looked up at him he's eyes somehow glowing brightee than before she say up swaying a big using the bed post to stabilize her listening to was he was saying it didn't completely make sense at first she nodded her head slightly not saying much fearing she throw up right there if she did she took interest pretty quickly at what he was saying "I've killed plenty of things mostly hunters. " her voice came out sounding rushed and out of breath as she took a step towards the door eyeing his scythe with a smirk she was actually excited to take down a few more of those ass holes especially after Nathaniel said it would her her current health "oh I'm sure plenty of things with go wrong tonight just not for us. " she was talking about the hunters of course but there was a certain hunger to her voice that had never been there before

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

(It’s most likely going to get a little to pretty gory from here on out. Just little warning)

Nathaniel’s devilish grin grew wider. He was exhilarated to have a hunting partner who shared his same bloodthirsty interest. “Great!” His tone lowered, a gruffness behind it. His smile, once again, reflected broken glass. He raised his hand, and a portal of dark, swirling red matter. “The hunters will suffer for their wrong doings. And I will make it long and painful.” His eyes sparked with the shine of a broken record. Nathaniel grabbed Ember’s hand, and slipped into the portal.

Once the demon’s feet landed on the ground, he readied his scythe, scanning the scene for the wolf. Could she have ended up somewhere strange? Possibly, but not too far. He leaned against a tree, playing with the tip of his scythe. All blood splatters on his face and suit had dried, making him appear farther gone than he was. My scythe is too dull. It needs a furnishing. Something in the woods alerted him, and swung his head sharply. Oh, great! Just what I was waiting for! “Hello, hunter.” He drew out his words, side eyeing the hunter. This hunter wasn’t exactly well-prepared for this encounter, missing the majority of his weapons. “Let’s make this quick, shall we?” The Hunter was caught of guard, not initially seeing the demon. Nathaniel took this opportunity to pierce the man’s back with the tip of his scythe, pushing it in deeper. “You humans make it tooooo easy! How do you not prepare for such an encounter?! It’s dismal.” His psychotic laugh rang throughout the thick forest. “Let’s see boy, decapitation or heart ripped out? I think, ripping your fucking heart out! A demonic screech escaped his mouth. The Hunter start to shake as fire patterns appeared on the king's skin. Horns grew out of his head and wings shot out from his back. His eyes glowed a bright red. Puncturing his clawed hand through the hunter’s chest, Nathaniel pulled his heart from its arteries. Blood splattered across his face, the screams of the now dead hunter echoing.

“How eventful!” Nathaniel pulled his scythe up, creating a long slit from the small of the back to the back of the head. “And that’s how you theoretically kill someone.” He bit into the heart, and his nose instantly scrunched. He spit out the small bite. “Tainted hearts taste awful. Goddamn.” He crushed the organ with his hand and went off to look for Ember. “You know, demon dog, it’s kinda like a recreational thing for us. This must be why humans fear us demon.” He shrugged, spinning his scythe. “But I enjoy it. I did try to commit genocide on an entire subspecies of humans called the Clairvoyant. They’re annoying.”

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

(Oooo yay)
She laughed a bit when he grabbed her hand as they went through the portal she heard a scream in the woods she shifted into her wolf from which had changed a lot she didn't look like a hell hound but she looked scarier now the scare on her face was more visible than before and she was bigger she wasn't a small defenseless looking wolf any more she rushed over you were she heard the screaming she made it to where Nathaniel as he was ripping the heart out of the hunter her eyes were glowing as she smelt the man's blood all around her and she felt the urge to taste human blood again the urge was strong and overpowering

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Blood dripped from Nathaniel’s mouth, fangs stained from the bloody show. “How fun!” He clapped his hands together, blood splattering across Ember’s face. “Isn’t this great, Ember? The spilled blood of our enemies.” His words ended in a psychotic laugh. “Go on, wolf, take a bite. It’s rich in nutrients and flavor.” Leaving the wolf to gobble up the tasty human treat, Nathaniel went off to find another victim. Once in blood frenzy, the king could not escape. Was he in control or another darker being? Who knew! But what Nathaniel did know is that his bloodlust grew stronger. He swung his scythe, catching another hunter by the neck. “So they don’t travel alone after all.” He sneered in the face of the hunter, baring his fangs. Blood red fangs dripping with the liquid of a former friend. This hunter nearly screamed in terror, and Nathaniel bellowed at her misery— her fear.

“Maybe I’ll make this one quick too.” Using the scythe to push her closer, Nathaniel grabbed the neck. Blood gushed all over his hands, the scythe having had a large gash. He twisted the girl’s neck sharply and a spine chilling snap was heard. “Not that quick. Snapping the neck is actually long and painful, but.” Nathaniel lifted up the bloody purple scythe. “I can fix that.” The weapon was sung down, cutting the body in half. Blood soaked into the ground, turning it red. “I’m like my own version of Thanatos.” He looked down at the body, examining it thoroughly. A mark on similar to a birthmark stood out to him. “This one was a supernatural. Some make stupid decisions.” He flicked his head over to Ember after digging the heart out of the body. It could be good to feed the Hellhounds. “How’s it going over there?”

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

Ember was barely fazed by the blood splatter on her face as she walked up to the corpse she was looking at it hungrily her eyes glowing a small growl except her mouth the scent of blood all around her once Nathaniel left to go after another unfortunate hunter as she began to ripp the flesh from the body her growls getting louder the more she ate, her mouth was covered in blood by the time Nathaniel came back she raised her head looking at him " it's going fine, it trust your coming along alright. "

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Nathaniel grinned as the wolf tore the flesh from the body. Wolves cleaned up massacres easily and made a plausible suspect difficult to find. Both his hands were drenched in the red wine-like liquid, blood dripped from his blood-stained fangs, and his suit was splattered with immeasurable amounts of red. “Tis. I’ve killed another hunter using my beautiful scythe!” His scythe had gone from purple to red. Twinges of insanity could be seen in the demon's eyes as he eyed the body. “We could hang the organs like Christian decorations. That would scare the pitiful locals.

A cry of fury sounded out as a man fell from the tree above. He had a dagger pointed at the demon’s cranium, planning to stab it through his brain. However, Nathaniel was two steps ahead. He held out his scythe and the hunter fell off the point, slicing open his belly. Blood leaked out of the horrific wound, the hunter making a pitiful sound. He slammed the hunter on his back, snapping the spine in two places. He wrenched his scythe up, enlarging the tear in the stomach and raking out a chunk of flesh. Blood pours out of the wound, and the hunter dead in seconds. Nathaniel squatted next to the hunter’s face and used his claws to big out the round blue eyes. “Such a beauty.” He muttered as the fleshed detached and he held the eyes. “Hey, Ember! Fetch!” He threw an eyeball in the air.

Looking back at the body, Nathaniel opened his mouth and pulled out some sharp canines. “Werewolves are dispensable these days.” An unsettled laugh escapes. “They trick your kind into working for them. Like it’ll make an actual fucking difference.” Nathaniel ripped the claws off the hands too, keeping a few spoils after such an interesting kill.

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

Ember followed after him and watched as he killed the hunter she knew he was like her judging by his scent she watched as Nathaniel threw the organ and watched it roll on the ground in front of her "I don't eat my kind… I'm not a cannibal. ' she said this sounding slightly amused as she walked past the eye and next to the demon as she looked up at him, her muscle tone was much more noticeable now that she had fully changed but she could feel her frenzy dying down she looked down at the corpse and scoffed " cousin. " we're the only words she spoke as she walked on

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Nathaniel snorted, watching the wolf avidly. “Well, it’s not like you are of your species anymore. You do have demonic DNA infused in you.” Looking at the corpse, he brushed back the course hair. The features did eerily look like Embers, pardon the empty sockets. Nathaniel raised an eyebrow. “I thought your entire family was dead? Are they not?” He adjusted his scythe, blood from the blade running down the snath, pooling into his hand. He popped the other blue eye in his mouth, popping it with his fangs and swallowing it. “Eyes are bit of a delicacy.” The demon looked upward, searching for anymore hunters that may interrupt their special killing time. “Do you wish to return back to the palace? Or gather some food for you?” He shifted his weight, tasting the iron in the air. Bloodshed on a Wednesday afternoon. What could be better?

@Obsidian-Fae health_and_safety ac_unit

She shook her head and chuckled "I know but if still rather not the son of a bitch is family and as far as that goes I said my parents were dead not my entire family who would have abandoned me if they weren't living breathing assholes?" She took a breath looking away when Nathaniel ate the eye just watching that made her own hurt shook her head again and looked towards the way they came I think I'd rather go back. " she looked back to him as if she wanted him to lead the way mostly because she couldn't summon the portal
