“Elemental studies and then training. We’ll at least know each other in each class, given that I have the same schedule as you.” He pulled out the folder containing his schedule. “Studies coming before training seems like the best outcome.” He pointed out each class he had while carefully examining the timetable. "I am not ready to train my element. Well, I believe the class is for improving, I guess, but the best I can accomplish with a light attack is blinding someone or rendering someone unconscious." Jules didn't have much faith in his skills, but he should be alright. They wouldn't expect kids to know how to use their element properly on the first day. Would they? He put his green folder back in his satchel and shrugged. Before class ended, he spent a considerable amount of time focusing on Ms. Delaney to gain a favorable impression of her.
Ding Ding
The school bell rung through the halls and students stood up, heading to their next class.
"Come on, our classroom is on the other side of the school, so we have to be quick." Sera jumped up and ran to the door, looking behind her to see if her friends were following.
(I found this website that has different uses for magical powers if anyone needs/wants idea on how to use their power.)
(I’d personally love to see Jules just glow in the dark. He’d be like torch lol)
When the bell rang, Jules turned to look at Squid and then at Sera. Sera, however, had already rushed to the door when the bell rang. "All the way across the building. Nice to hear. ACROSS THE SCHOOL, WHAT?!” He chased Sera while turning to face Squid. He had made the boy a promise that he wouldn't pull him along again. Jules hoped Squid could navigate himself. “If we could teleport, this would be so much simpler.” He met Sera at the door, waiting to see where she would bolt off to. Jules was aware of most of the other powers associated with his element, but he wasn't sure how to effectively use them. His glowing was one ability that he had little control over. Whether it was from flushing or the dim surroundings, he seemed to glow a lot. He might be able to learn how to banish a gargoyle.
"I once read about a witch who could teleport. But he never revealed how he could do it so no one was ever about to learn that power. I want to learn how to teleport. And then I won't be late to any of my classes." Sera started down the stars.
(It's incredibly convenient that they all have the same classes in the same order but c'mon, it wouldn't be fun if one was in training and the others were all in Elemental Studies-)
Squid blinks a few times and goes somewhat pale, fumbling to find his schedule again as he catches up to Jules and Sera at the door. Dear god what if he doesn't have the same classes as them, what if he'd have to find his next class all on his own- thankfully though his worries are quelled just the tiniest bit when he sees that he does have the same class as the others, now only really worried about keeping up with them and not losing them-
(I thought it would be easier on Cuji since they play the teachers, but I can make Jules make the mistake of not reading his schedule correctly and easily throw him into training. He would probably have a heart attack at the age of 13 lol)
(Pff, you mean make him accidentally go into the wrong class or smthn? That would be funny)
(He would have a bigger heart attack lol)
(Jules: the first ever 13 year old who simultaneously manages to be a 70 year old man)
(We could do that. I like that. It’ll be funny when Jules comes back from training and it’s lunch and he was training with the seniors who are all skilled and whatnot XD)
(Giving Jules first day of school trauma 💀. I’ll write something later tonight on his “didn’t read my schedule properly” dilemma. This also is a good opportunity for him to involuntary go invisible because he wished to be invisible or something. Light stuff)
(Pff, alright. It'd be hilarious-)
Jules sighed and wished the witch had told them how they had teleported. From History to their following class, it would have made it much simpler to get to. He didn't give himself enough time to read which elemental he had for the next class. He simply assumed that he was in the same class as Sera. Jules came to a stop at the top of the stairs, taking out his folder and consulting his schedule. "Oh no.." Elemental training? Jules put back the folder containing his schedule into the bag containing all of his other books. "Next, I have elemental training." He appeared to freeze. He felt sick to his stomach because this was the worst possible outcome. Jules had no idea how to control many abilities related to his element. He did, but not very well. He truly wished he could go invisible. But his distress made him more—luminescent. He always believed when it came to his element, he didn’t know much control. But in reality, he’d do just fine.
(I've been missing for a while, whoops. Time to pop back out of nowhere.)
Lumi, already comfortably sitting in her elemental studies desk, was only waiting for the bell to go. As she tapped her nails on the wooden surface, she'd realized she'd been really quite today. She supposed it had something to do with that she took off running to her next class as soon as, possibly even a few seconds before, the bell went off.
(All the cool electric powers and Lumi's current most prevalent is the fact that her eyeballs glow, which may lead people to believe she's light when she's not. She's got potential, but her energy's pent up since she doesn't know how to use it well. If she gets really angry, she'll unintentionally use Electric Mimicry.)
(You guys don't know how different Squids actual character is- like I don't mean I just aged him down, there was a bunch of lore and sh1t and he's an entirely different person in canon than in this- well ofc I still kept his personality but, still.)
(Wait, you guys are using characters you already created for this?)
(Well at the very least I am, idk about them. I just took a character that I thought would fit and edited him to fit better-)
(I too also just edited Jules to fit the role, but he doesn’t deviate much from his thirteen year-old-self, but most of his lore and such is kinda not there)
Sera made it to the elemental studies class. She thankfully made it on time but confused to find the teacher wans't there. Was he late? Some other students weren't at the class yet either. Sera assumed she might be a little early and picked a seat, preparing herself for class.
Lumi noticed Sera a few seats away from her and waved. "I guess we have similar schedules," she joked, "It's almost as though someone's pulling strings to get us in classes together."
"Well, it's good that we have each other then." Sera smiled. "I would hate to be in a class where I didn't know anyone."
