Squids never felt so tiny in his entire life, or scared, and that's saying something for him. Standing in front of Gavix School of Witchcraft on his first day ever being here is so nervewracking and he hasn't even gone inside yet. There are so many things that could go wrong on the first day. He could forget his locker, forget what class he needs to go to first, walk into the wrong class- but, his dad's already gone from dropping him off, so there's no backing down now. Honestly he's lucky he got in, he scored just well enough to do so. Needless to say his parents were proud, or whatever their form of 'proud' was.

Taking a deep breath in and gripping his bag in one hand, he heads inside, looking around wearily. Of course he doesn't forget his locker, he kindof repeated the number over and over in his head when he first got it- he makes his way over almost as quickly as possible, he doesn't want to accidentally bump into anyone. Eventually he stops at his locker, 132, sighing quietly as he puts in the combination. Or well, he thought he did it, but he still can't open his locker- a chill of dread goes down his spind, did he do it wrong? He doesn't want to pester someone by asking- he tries again but still can't get it, gulping quietly as he looks around. Maybe he could ask a teacher or something, yeah- he only sees other students though, one of them being Sera. The other students apparently aren't here yet- so he has no choice. "Uh- uhm, hello?"

@heeey-bitchhhhhhhhhhh

With Gavix School of Witchcraft right in front of her, Ena felt rather excited. She had been looking forward to attending this school most of her life. Witchcraft was always something that she was passionate about, and she would constantly practice her own and work on her abilities. When it came time for the entrance exams, she easily passed. Although she wasn't as strong as some of her classmates, she was passionate about witchcraft and enjoyed practicing it when she wasn't partaking in her other hobbies, leaving her as one of the stronger in her year, though far from the strongest.

Well, this is it! I'm finally here! she told herself in thought. This is gonna be great! I can work on my magic and learn about this world! I'm gonna be able to do wonderful things with the abilities I learn while I'm here! Now let's head to my locker! If I recall correctly, that's locker 133!

She beamed brightly as she entered the school, already looking forward to her time there. As her excitement began to take hold, she started running through the halls. They were fairly empty as most students had yet to arrive, so she didn't have to worry about accidentally bumping into anyone. She didn't know the school all that well, but she knew how to get to her locker.

Once she reached it, she immediately put in her combination. She had memorized it rather quickly, so it didn't long for her to open her locker. After, she quickly placed her bag down and opened it. She came prepared with a variety of locker decals, which she began placing on the inside of her locker and its door. As she finished customizing, she placed her books inside of her locker, happy with how she had decorated.

This is gonna be a great year! she assured herself, still beaming as brightly as she was when she entered the school.

Jules looked at the front of Gavix School of Witchcraft with wonder. Although, the feeling he had about it was less than joyous. His parents had requested that he attend. It appeared that attending had been a family tradition for years, drawing Jules into a dogma that was carrying on a tradition. Jules took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He didn't try on the entrance exam because he didn't want to be lumped in with students who were likely far more advanced than he was. He had attempted to fail but was successful in gaining entry. Some members of his family believe he inherited his father's natural prowess. Perhaps he did. With his limited knowledge of his abilities, Jules was surprised he passed. He didn't know how far light magic could be pushed—perhaps to the point of purification—but all he knew at the moment were strong attacks and how to blind someone. Jules guessed that was the point of school in the first place: developing the ability to be both useful and powerful. Regardless, he was going to put in a lot of effort.

Jules shook himself free of his own ramblings and trudged inside, dragging himself down the west wing's corridor. His small body was weighed down by his heavy bag of books and supplies. 138. It has my lucky number in it! Jules walked over to his locker, carefully placing the bag that had nearly tipped him over. He cast a glance to his left at the other three, picking up on minor details and attitudes. One appeared to be on the verge of a nervous explosion, while the others were more upbeat. Jules grinned at the prospect of these three becoming his friends. He liked people, and nothing could go wrong as long as his surname wasn't disclosed. He unlocked the locker and arranged his books and supplies in a neat manner. Perfect! The locker was simple, but that was fine. Later, he might add his own flair to it. Jules thought it was the ideal time to make salutations to his locker mates; after all, he'd be seeing them for the remainder of the year. “Hello.” That ‘hello’ was stronger in his head. In reality, his voice was soft and not boisterous enough to catch attention. He shrugged it off with a sigh, his warmth flowing through him.

Cuji

"Uh- uhm, hello?"

Sera turned to the greeting and saw a boy who looked like he was about to breakdown. She hadn't even noticed that he was in the same hall as him.
"Hey cutie." The boy had black hair and his bangs were covering his brown eyes. Freckles adorned his nose and Sera found his fumbling cute, "What can I do for you?"

(Also, I know Squid is gay, or to have a gay awakening, but Sera doesn't know that and she's just a flirt lol )

@Pizzaz11 group

(It's fine! Also sorry, I fell asleep)

Squid attempts a smile, not noticing that there was another person looking in his direction as well as Sera. Which is probably a good thing, he hates multiple people he doesn't know staring at him- one is just fine, he'd get to know the people around his locker..eventually, at his own pace- if he tries to befriend too many people at once he'd probably explode. His eyes wandered to the girls short hair for a minute, what, he's totally not avoiding eye contact.

"..hi, uh..could you help me with my locker, please-" He mumbles, his eyes pretty much anywhere but Seras own. He wasn't expecting the 'cutie' thing, so naturally it made him blush the tiniest bit. Of course this was mostly embarrassment-

Cuji

Sera watched as the boy's cheeks turned a shade of light blue. He must be a water elemental.
"Yeah of course. What's your code?" She stepped up to his locker and prepped her hand to turn the dial on the lock.

@Pizzaz11 group

Squid smiles a little as he tells Sera his combination, absentmindedly fidgeting with his hands as he looks around at the other people next to his locker. His eyes go from Sera to Ena, to Jules, and so on. That seems like alot of people to make friends with, and that's just whoever's within the immediate vicinity of his locker. But he's sure it'll be fine, he'll be ok.

Cuji

"All done." Sera opened his locker and turned to face him, also noticing that the hall was a little bit more crowded. "Hey I didn't catch your name?"

@Pizzaz11 group

"Thanks, uh..my name is Squid..yours?" Squid looks at Sera again, smiling before he finally puts his bag into his now open locker. He's just really thankful that Sera's being nice. And yes he's aware that Squid is a bit of an odd name, no he doesn't know why his parents named him that.

Cuji

"That's a peculiar name. Mine's Seraphina. But you can call me Sera." She pulled a few books out of her locker for her first class and shut her locker. "I'm assuming your in the 7th grade? Considering your locker is in the same area as mine."

@Pizzaz11 group

"Alright..and uh, yeah, I am." Squid nods, just getting whatever he needs from his bag now that his hands arent full with it. He's really nervous still, for the first day, and he's kindof hoping that Sera is in the same few classes with him. It would be nice having someone he somewhat knows along with him-

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules raised his head from his locker, observing Sera and Squid's interaction with interest. Sera's flirting didn't make him feel right, especially given how shaky the boy was. Squid looked like he wanted to vanish, sink into the ground, and Sera seemed headstrong. Jules snatched up the few books and folders he needed and stuffed them into his dependable satchel. The bag distributed the weight of the items evenly across his body, preventing him from tipping to one side. He slowly closed his locker, slinging the bag over his shoulder and across his body. His light gold eyes flickered as he continued to watch the two from a safe distance. He inhaled deeply and walked over to the pair. Perhaps you shouldn't do that, Jules; it will ruin their conversation and make them dislike you. No one asked you to say anything, Jules. But. No, just be pleasant, and I'm confident they won't mind.

He shook himself free of his internal battle. Squid and Sera were close enough for Jules to make a proper introduction. One that didn't leave a bad impression. He cleared his throat and tried to speak as loudly as possible. "Hello." That wasn't particularly loud; in fact, it was quite quiet. Because Jules was so close to them, he was confident that his quiet greeting would not be ignored again. As the light hit his blue eyes, they glistened, giving them a dazzling appearance. Jules seemed to glow rather than blush, despite being embarrassed and cursing himself for his soft salutations. "Please accept my apologies for interrupting your conversation. I—" The words caught on his tongue. Really? That's what you came up with As the nervous embarrassment hit him, he began to 'blush' more. He wasn't bad with people; he didn't know how to insert himself into conversations.

@Pizzaz11 group

Squids gaze moved over to Jules when he heard the other, even though his voice was quiet. He saw Jules earlier, a few lockers down, right? Yeah, he remembers. For a second Squid takes in the others seemingly glowy appearance, finding himself a bit curious as to who exactly this is. It's not like he's just going to ask out of the blue though, other than just the person's name- but anyways, he's been staring for an almost uncomfortable amount of time, he should probably say something.

"..hello, uh..'s ok, you didn't, like, interrupt much-" Squid smiles a little, shifting his weight from foot to foot. Internally he's facepalming on how he fumbled that sentence, he just can't talk correctly for some dumb reason. That or he doesn't talk at all, under the fear that he's going to make a fool of himself. But nevertheless he is being truthful, he doesn't mind that Jules came over. He's, interesting.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules gave Squid a friendly smile. This boy appeared to be experiencing first-day jitters, which was fine. Squid's face has a light blue blush, which he notices. He always thought that people with different blood colors looked exotic—in a good way. His blood, however, made him glow when it rushed to his face or fingertips. Jules didn't like it. It made him looked like a light source. He guessed that was the point. He shifted his bag just a smidgen, so he could stand more upright. However, he was still the smaller of the two when compared to Squid. Being 5'2 is a curse. "My given name is Julian, but you can call me Jules." At the very least, he managed to get that out in a normal interval. "I'm glad I didn't cause any major disruptions. I was a little concerned." Squid's stumbling over his words didn't bother Jules because he knew the boy was trying. His gaze shifted to Sera, who continued to frighten him. She appeared to be the type of person who was controlling or who was absorbed in their own thoughts. He couldn't help but wonder about her abilities. She appeared to be—electrical—statically charged.

@Pizzaz11 group

"Nice name, uh..mines Squid, in case you likee, didn't hear.." Squid laughs nervously, continuing to watch Jules. He definitely likes the others name, it's nice. He also likes the glowing, it looks pretty in his opinion. He assumes that Jules is most likely a light elemental, because of course, the glowing- Squid will probably find out at some point anyways, assuming that he and the others are going to be in a few of the same classes.

"So uh..you're in 7th grade, right?" Squid tilts his head, glancing over at Sera. He hopes she doesn't mind that he's talking to Jules now. Jules is pleasant, and nice to talk to so far.

@RiverTheSeawing

Lumi hadn't really had any big "this is it" moment when she'd seen the Gavix School of Witchcraft sign. It's not that she wasn't surprised, but it was that she refused to stop moving. Instead, she took a deep breath and ran towards her locker, number 140. She'd no trouble unlocking it and had grabbed her books and placed them in a black leather messenger bag she'd draped around her shoulder.

Hearing other students talk in the distance, she rushed over to join them. An energetic smile stretched on her face and her eyes almost glowing (think lightning just behind them), she surfaced behind the glowing student. "Mind if I join in?"

(Sorry if it's a little short for an introduction.)

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules took something from his bag and handed it to Squid. It was something with which he could fidget. Perhaps it would help Squid with his nervousness in the long run. "Squid is an adorable name. It's unlike anything I've ever heard." He played his silver hair, which had already been messed up when he leaned against his locker. He responded to Squid after tousling it into an acceptable state. "Yes, I'm in seventh grade. I'm guessing you are too." Jules gazed over to Ena, then to Squid. This school year, he hoped to become great friends with all three of them. And who knows, maybe next year. He was now planning too far ahead. Uhh! He seemed to glow brighter when he was frustrated. The glow faded after taking a few deep breaths. The new voice startled him. Jules shifted his gaze slightly to Lumi. "Yeah sure.  7th grade right?"

@Pizzaz11 group

Squid blinks a couple times, watching Jules before looking down at what he was handed. He wasn't expecting that, or the thing about his name- he doesn't really get compliments on his name. Or gifted things-

"O-oh..uh..thanks-" Squid smiles a bit wider, his face flushing light blue again. Even as the other looks over at Lumi he still watches him for a bit, shivering a little and glancing at Lumi eventually. He doesn't want to dwell on why the compliment made him feel so strongly, so he's just going to ignore it- "Mhm.."

(Squid your gay is showing)

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules observed Squid becoming flustered and wondered if he liked the stress reliever. People's reactions to special occasions or gifts fascinated Jules. His blue eyes glowed with anticipation, as if he couldn't wait to see what would happen next. "You're absolutely, positively welcome!" He despised what he said as soon as it left his mouth. He squirmed, his face contorting in every direction. However, seeing Squid blush and smile let him know ‌his words had been appreciated. He was fond of unusual names. Jules' attention was drawn away from Squid as he turned to face Lumi. He fixed his gaze on the girl, observing details about her. She appeared to be pleasant enough, if a little plain in comparison to the others. That was fine, though. Jules didn't judge people by their appearance, but he did note that he was taller than her. "So, when does the day begin? What does the schedule look like?" Reasonable questions to ask on the first day. Of course, everyone's schedules were bound to be different.

@Pizzaz11 group

(I assume they'd start at like, 8 am like normal school)

Squid definitely keeps smiling, funnily enough he liked the somewhat strange 'you're welcome'. He thought it was cute, even if the other seemed to cringe at his own words. Afterwards he just goes back to observing the other people quietly, speaking again when Jules posed the questions.

"Uh..'m not sure..'s funny, I forget everything I should probably remember- but uh..school itself..I think..8?" Squid laughs nervously, he has somewhat of an idea of where he should go..? Like he's pretty sure he knows where, but not entirely, and he definitely doesn't want to walk into a classroom he doesn't belong in. After his little addition to the conversation he just looks down at the stress reliever, just absentmindedly messing with it. It's dumb but he doesn't want to ruin it on accident, and if he knows himself well he probably will.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules noticed Squid's friendly smile and realized that his strange introduction wasn't as bad as he had imagined. His grip on the bag tightens. Jules wasn't particularly apprehensive about the first day, but he did have a slight edge. His quiet politeness and keen observations hide it most of the time. Yes, Jules was a curious individual. It was obvious just by watching him look around the grand hall and stare into the gleaming ceiling lights. "Oh, don't worry, this is my first time in a proper school setting. My parents tried to teach me everything at home, but I could only grasp a few skill sets, no matter how hard I tried. As a result, they chose to send me here—to the school where they graduated from as well…" He shrugged his shoulders. "However, they attempted to teach me stronger skill sets. At least some of it paid off." He turned to look at Lumi and Sera. Since introductions, neither of the girls had said anything. “8?” Jules examined his wristwatch. "It's 7:55. Isn't it implied that we should arrive at our homeroom before the bell rings?" He is completely oblivious to what he is doing. He had no idea where he should go, where he belonged, or how things worked.

@RiverTheSeawing

"Oh," Lumi said shocked, "I'll see y'all in class then." Holding up 7 fingers as she ran off without realizing she never told them her name. She didn't bother stopping to think about if she was going to the right classroom or not; her instincts told her she was heading the right way anyway. She'd almost fallen down the stairs on the run, which is a lie because she actually had fallen down the stairs. Adrenaline prompted her to get back up and run into the classroom.

@Pizzaz11 group

"..I think so, yeah.." Squid nods, unintentionally forgetting to really respond to what Jules had said prior- it's alot and he doesn't like going back and responding to things that happened earlier, half the time he just sounds too eager to converse. Also he always feels weird commenting on people's more personal lives anyways, and he's pretty sure that's what Jules said could be classified as.

Squid watches Lumi as she gestures quickly before running off, blinking a few times. She seems really energetic, especially so with how she acts and just the speed at which she was running. Well, if it gets her to class faster then that's awesome. Speaking of class, he turns his attention back to the others who were still around the lockers. Mostly Jules, since that's who he'd been talking to before- "We should uh..get going, probably..I think we'd have the same homeroom? If not the same schedule."
