Lis chuckles as Naize tries to jump onto bane. "Hold on there, Naize."
She looks at Bane.
"Never?" she asks incredulously.
Lis chuckles as Naize tries to jump onto bane. "Hold on there, Naize."
She looks at Bane.
"Never?" she asks incredulously.
Bane shook his head, holding onto Naize. “Never. There’s a lot of nevers. I say never quite a lot. It's sad honestly. Dad never let me do anything but train. See! There’s that word again. God, it was so boring. Demons don’t make good parents, let alone hellhounds” He sighs.
Naizes tail swat the air as she purred, playing with a lose string on banes shirt
(Me realizing he never took his jacket back from Lis 💀)
Devon paused for a minute, looking at Bane, "Do you guys like…dislike to hate demons?" he asked, putting his hands in his pockets.
Bane sighed, keeping Naize from destroying his clothing. “Honestly Dev. I just hate my dad and his demonic acquaintances. They caused me so much pain and still do. Most demons I do think as rather annoying, but—” He shrugged. “Who knows anymore. Haven't been back to hell in a few years. I operate on ‘you’re nice to me, I may be nice to you’.”
Naize continued to bat and play with banes fingers. She playfully growled
Bane put Naize down. He got a feather from the pocket of his jacket that Lis still wrapped around her. Bane crouched down to Naize and stuck the feather in front of her. He tickled her nose with it and swished in the air, hoping the cat would play with it. Is it kind of awkward to play with a cat in a restaurant? Probably. Does Bane care? No.
Naize played happily, yawoling and growing
Devon sighed, rubbing his arm, "So…if you met one that was ok … you wouldn't hate them?" he asked, watching Bane and Naize play.
(Me realizing she never gave it back ;-;)
Lis sighs. "What sorts of nevers?"
She looks at Dev.
"Only the ones that rape and murder true innocents." she says steadily.
"So yes. I like you."
Bane moved the feather about, turning to look at Dev. "Yeah— I'd be fine with that. As long as they don't try to hurt me or cause me immense pain like my dad did. I mean, I'm still a demon myself. A lower one, but still a demon. I can't really go around hating everyone just because they're a demon. They have no say over that— it's just what they do. Most demons I've met, however, intend harm." Bane frowned at the thought. He winced ta another thought of his father. "But you're fine— your sister is not. She is not welcomed." He said that last bit with a growl.
"You don't even know what kind of demon I could be" he said, barely able to be heard and leaned against the nearest wall with a sigh.
"One of the good ones." Lis says confidently.
He scoffed, "….sorry…habit"
Naize flailed around, rolling around and jumping for the feather
"I agree with Lis." He giggled. Bane knew about the different rankings and kinds of demons. Devon couldn't be a torture or discord demon, that's for sure. He threw the feather in the air for Naize to catch and stood up. He walked over to Lis and tried to subtly take his jacket back. One thing's for sure, he ain't subtle. "Hey Lis, may I have my jacket back?" He asked after failing to take it off of her. "Unless you're still cold. Then you can keep it." Bane didn't know why he had a jacket. He never got cold. Maybe it was just to cover himself up, except for his face. "Also, in answer about the nevers. If I told you all the things I've never done, we might be here for a lifetime."
Naize played with it for a good while before trotting to lis with it in her mouth
Devon sighed looking at Bane and Lis with a frown.
Lis laughs at Bane's giggle. "I love your laugh. It's so. . . light compared to the rest of you."
She smirks and plays up a shiver. "Still cold."
She tilts her head. "Well, we do have forever. Literally."
"Is it now?" He raised an eyebrow. "You're lucky I can't get cold. I have never felt cold." He smiled. "What do you exactly mean by 'lighter than the rest of me'? Am I too heavy— or dark— or what?" His brow furrowed. One confused puppy. He shrugged. "I guess we do have eternity. I guess most of us do. But it is still a long list, and it would bore you to death. You then wouldn't have eternity, would you now?" He teased.
Devon sighed quietly and turned to leave, not feeling all that welcome.
Lis laughs. "It is."
"You're maybe a little too tense all the time. Try relaxing." she replies.
They smile. "I guess not. But then again, I don't get bored that easy."
She turns to Dev. "Please, stay. I know me and Bane are talking but you're always welcome to intterupt."
Naize sat and watched the convo, noticing a few people watching them now.
Devon paused, turning back to them, "you seem pretty…close" he said slowly.
Lis turns slightly red. "Dev, we just met. I'm trying to learn more about Bane because. . . well. . ."
She looks at Bane. "Because I enjoy his company."
Devon's frown deepened at the comment and he turned and walked away.
Lis sighs.
"Dev. . . please." she murmurs. But he's already gone. She sits down and stares at the ground, then looks back up at Bane.
“Devon! Don’t go!” Bane frowned. He enjoyed his company too. “Lis, those were the wrong choice of words.” He shook his head and breathed a deep sigh. He took the feather from Naize and threw it up in the air for her to catch it again.
"Yes, I kind've figured that out." Lis replies. She gets up, leaving Bane with his jacket, chasing after Devon.
