"I'm not going to use you like that." A bold statement, with how Brenn had been conditioned. "Not until you're actually comfortable with it. I would be more upset if you did it without being ready then if we didn't do it at all. Do you understand?" Sebastian looked down at Brenn, face serious. He meant it.
Brenn looked up at him, his face filled with confusion, "B-but. . ." He stammered, not understanding what he meant, but he soon stopped, appreciating the man's statement for what it meant, and the sentiment behind it, "T-thank you sir, I understand." Brenn said quietly pulling away slightly.
Sebastian let Brenn pull away, patting his head lightly, not upset by the man pulling away.
"Good. You're welcome," he said. Sebastian looked away from Brenn a moment, looking at Moose. He smiled just a bit.
"I think he really did miss you," he said calmly. "He wasn't the same while you were gone."
Brenn nodded a little bit, trying to smile a little bit, "Oh, I missed him too, so I guess it was, you know. . ." He said with a smile, sort of moving a little from his lap, but then he caught himself, and looked back at him as if he was asking for permission.
"Mutual?" Sebastian chuckled softly. He looked down when Brenn moved to leave his lap, feeling the pause.
"Go ahead," he said softly. He didn't know why Brenn wanted to, but be was perfectly fine with Brenn doing it.
Brenn nodded as he stood up, and raised his hand, as if to beckon the bird to him. And Moose for once obeyed and perched on his fingers. Then, Brenn moved the bird close to his cheek, "I-I missed you boy." He said softly, and for once Moose showed that he actually liked Brenn, cooing happily and flapping his wings slightly.
Sebastian watched, smiling just a touch. He folded his legs, leaning on his hand. Why did he feel like that was himself and Brenn? He wanted to be able to just hold his hand out and have Brenn come over, and just shower the man in affection. He wanted Brenn to actually like it, too, not just feel like he was required to.
"I'm glad you're back," Sebastian said softly.
Brenn turned and looked over his shoulder at him, "R-really?" Then he turned around to face him, "T-thank you?" His cheeks turned a shade of pink. During the time that he was away, he had felt that Sebastian hated him, or no longer wanted him the way that he was, but, hearing that, that made him doubt himself, and doubt those thoughts, "M-me too. . ."
Sebastian stood, going over to lightly hug Brenn for a moment.
"And I'm going to take much, much better care of you. I'm not going to give you up again, Brenn." Sebastian cupped Brenn's cheek lightly in one hand.
"I'm going to be the best master I can be." He was definitely warming up to the idea, seeing as how much Brenn seemed to be indoctrinated with it.
At this point, Brenn had sort of gotten a tad bit more comfortable around Sebastian, and when the other boy hugged him, he sort of relaxed in his arms, glancing up at him shyly when the other man held him again. Is that what I really want? Do I want to be a pet. . .That's what he wants, and what he wants is what I want, right? I'm supposed to be his, I'm supposed to there whenever he wants him, and do as he pleases. . .But what if. . . He looked up at him again, and bit his lower lip, He seems to like the idea, so it's final now. Brenn thought, smiling slightly, although he felt slightly uneasy, I just hope he treats me better than CC.
Sebastian kissed Brenn's head. He smiled some when Brenn actually relaxed in his arms, and gave a sweet little smile when Brenn looked up at him. He tucked Brenn's head under his own, rubbing his thumb against Brenn's arm.
"I'm going to make sure you're safe," he said quietly. "I love you." It wasn't like the love one had for other people- it really was like an owner to a pet, like Brenn might to Moose.
He loves. . .me? Brenn thought, his eyes closed, his head resting against the man's chest, He loves-no he doesn't. He couldn't, he wouldn't, at least not normally. Although Brenn had practically gone through hell with all the stress and pain he had endured underneath that woman, and he had been changed, at least his way of behaviour and thinking, but he knew that that wasn't right, "You don't. . ." He said softly, his voice barely audible.
Sebastian had been silent as Brenn thought to himself, smiling. He played with Brenn's hair a bit, seeming to be enjoying himself immensely just by holding the man. He froze a moment, though, when Brenn spoke.
"What did you say..?" He said softly. Still, there was a bit of a hard undertone to his voice- Brenn, at the very least, had hit a nerve.
"Do you not believe me..?"
Oh dear, I should explain myself before he decides to kill me, "I-I, yes. . . I-I do, b-but you seem to love me in an odd way sir, or at least, like how. . " Then he understood what the other man had meant, he didn't truly love him in the Brenn had assumed he meant, but like a pet, which showed to him how little he truly meant to Sebastian, I'm just a pet or a toy to him. . .But, that's what I'm supposed to be, right? "I-I'm sorry sir, I-I shouldn't have said that, please forgive me." He mumbled, looking down at his hands.
((That ladies and gents (and non-binary pals) is the sound of my heart BREAKING))
Sebastian let go of his anger as soon as he heard the stutter in Brenn's voice.
"I'm sorry for speaking to you like that," he said when Brenn finished. "I let my anger get the best of me. I forgive you, Brenn." Sebastian pulled Brenn a bit closer, kissing his head. He loved Brenn like a pet, yes, but there were so many people who considered pets a central part of the family- with Brenn, it was just a bit less platonic than that. The man did mean so, so much to Sebastian.
Brenn shook his head, as if to say that it was okay, "I. . .it's okay sir." He said quietly, resting against Sebastian, and letting the other pull him back over onto the bed, then let him pull him down so that they would be lying down side by side. He trusted that Sebastian would keep his promise, and that he wouldn't do anything to him that he knew Brenn was uncomfortable with, and somehow for once this sort of action didn't scare, it didn't make him want to run from him, he somewhat liked it.
Sebastian looked up at the ceiling, his hand holding Brenn's.
"I mean it," he said softly. "I'm not going to let myself hurt you in anger, not ever again." It had almost broke Sebastian the first time, and he knew neither of that could handle it again. Brenn was already broken enough. He turned his head to look at Brenn.
"T-thank you, Sebastian." Brenn said quietly, his voice almost inaudible. He inched slightly closer to the other man, resting his head on his chest. It had been the first time that he had said the other's mans name for a while, and he somehow missed the privilege of that, he only hoped that the other man would be okay with it.
Sebastian wrapped an arm around Brenn, running his fingers through the man's hair and playing with it a bit.
"You're welcome, Brenn." He didn't say a word about Brenn using his name, actually preferring it. The sirs and the masters could be saved for around his friends. Sebastian looked back up at the ceiling, relaxing finally.
(Okay, where do we go from here?)
(aaaaa…)
(What if Brenn slips up too much and Sebastian has to actually punish him?)
((That could work, maybe just an add-on to that, maybe Sebastian comes back drunk, and maybe he's already pissed off with Brenn, and sort of acts on it?))
(ooo, that would make sense)
(But Sebastian is more of a sad drunk)
(He'll probably guilt trip the hell out of Brenn for making him punish the man)
(yeah, that could work!))
(YeP))
Brenn had been waiting in his old room- the library- for Sebastian to come back from whatever he had said he was going too. The man had been pretty angry with Brenn when he left, and his words weren't the clearest. But to be honest, Brenn wasn't sure what he had done. He had been cuddling against the man's side, then out of nowhere Sebastian seemed to be in a bad mood, mainly because Brenn had sort of maybe mouthed off a little at him. He didn't want the man to be upset with him, but it just sort of happened, and now he was in trouble.
Sebastian was busy getting drunk. Mostly, he just wanted to stall- sure, he was mad at Brenn, but he didn't want to hurt him. He had to be driven home by his chauffer, and stumbled up to his room. He was blinking back tears as he unlocked the door, stepping into the apartment. Why, why did Brenn make him do this? He didn't want to…
Hearing the front door open Brenn hurried to the door, wanting to make sure that the other man was okay. But when he saw what had happened to him, he stepped back, peering around a corner at him. Oh god. . .this isn't good.. . He thought to himself, watching Sebastian stagger towards him, Well, I guess I should help him.
