Melissa tilted her head away just a bit, her light smile growing. "Stopppp~" She whined a bit, trying not to laugh.

"You're rather groovy. Don't you think?" Lucas snickered a bit, pressing closer to Melissa.

Melissa kept grinning, trying to push away. “Groovy? You’re such a dork sometimes.” She laughed softly, kissing the tip of his nose.

"Mhmm~" Lucas purred, returning the kiss and tugging Ilya closer. "I'm one of the cool kids, obviously."

"Mm, yeah you are. You're the coolest kid." Melissa laughed, caving in to his pulling. "At least, to me you are."

"The coolest. The grooviest." Lucas snickered a bit and kissed Melissa's cheek. "All the other kids wish they were as groovy as me."

"Mm, I wish I was as cool and groovy as you were. But I don't think I have a shot at that." Melissa hummed lightly, kicking her legs onto his lap.

"I think you're a good bit of both." Lucas toyed with Melissa's hair a bit, humming softly to himself. "Pretty groovy."

"Mm, not as groovy as you are, though." Melissa hummed lightly, smiling softly as he played with her hair. "I don't think anyone could live up to you."

Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully. "You're the grooviest person I know, milady." He grinned and winked.

Melissa's face was a soft pink from his comment, and she leaned over closer. "Mm, am I really?" She asked softly, before burying her face into his shoulder.

"I sure think so." Lucas gently kissed the crown of Melissa's head and held her close. "Pretty fantastic."

"Mm…" Melissa mumbled a bit, leaning up against him. "I'm sure you've met better people. I'm just happy to be on that list."

"Nuh uh! You're the best person I've ever met!" Lucas insisted, kissing Melissa again. "Definitely the grooviest."

Melissa laughed softly, glancing up at him with a tired smile. "You're too cute… I think you might be exaggerating just a bit, though."

Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully again. "M'not cute. And I'm never over dramatic. That's so unlike me."

Melissa laughed softly, sitting up and kissing him. "I love you so much, my over-dramatic cutie." She hummed a bit, nosing into his shoulder.

Lucas huffed indignantly, but returned the kiss anyway. "So mean to me, darling. I'm deeply offended."

Melissa kept up her smile, relaxing up against him. "Will ice cream make up for it? Or do I have to make it up to you some other way?"

"Mm. I guess that'll do." Lucas nuzzled into Melissa's hair, smiling softly. "I do like ice cream."

"M'kay… gosh, I'm so tired." Melissa laughed weakly, yawning as she curled up closer. "I don't wanna get up…"

"Why are you so tired?" Lucas asked softly. "Did you not sleep well last night?"

"Mm, like I said earlier, I stayed up way too late. I think it was like, two o'clock or something." Melissa mumbled, shrugging a bit.

"Well, don't do that." Lucas said jokingly, laughing a bit. "You gotta sleep, Mel. It's good for you and it feels nice."

"Well, I was going to. But I got distracted." Melissa shrugged a little, sitting up to kiss his cheek. "But I'll try to do better. I know I shouldn't stay up so late."

"What was distracting you so long, hmm?" Lucas asked, returning the kiss and tugging Melissa closer to himself.

"Mm…" Melissa trailed off, trying to think back to the night before. "Well, I showered. I was probably showering for about an hour, just because I knew nobody else needed it. Um… after I got dressed, I laid on my bed and listened to music for awhile. I guess I sort of spaced while doing that, and started cleaning up my room. I lost track of time while I was cleaning, I guess."

Lucas nodded a bit as he listened, resting his head on Melissa's. "That makes sense. I generally go to bed relatively early no matter what… Habit, I guess."

"It's a good habit to get into. I just have a hard time going to bed, without being tired." Melissa mumbled with a light smile, gently kissing him. "Maybe you should make me go to bed. I seem to listen to you."

"Mm. Maybe." Lucas returned the kiss and hummed softly to himself. "I'm generally pretty drained by the end of the day, so it's not hard for me to fall asleep."
