controversial movie opinions time guys!

open house was a good horror movie, the characters were just dicks and unlovable which actually might have been a good thing. because not everyone is a perfect or incredible person, especially to family and following trauma. which makes it all the more realistic and enforces that fear because of how easily this could happen to anyone at all. normal, non horror movie characters can suffer tragic things in the form of horrific events

anyway drop any of you 'controversial' opinions on movies

Not a movie, but Stranger Thing season 3 was incredibly disappointing and pretty horrible. Still, I stan ST and Alexi. I'm excited for season 4, but my standards have lowered greatly to my dismay.

I kind of want to see the Ted Bundy movie but that's as much as I'll do

Horror can be great, but it's hard to get right. I love the mystery and intrigue, but the blood, gore, violence, and death seem like filler. It's difficult to make a whole movie out of just that, which is why I would argue horror is more of an element than a genre. There's Sci-Fi horror, fantasy horror, situational horror, and folklore horror just to name some categories.

phantasm by don coscarelli is the best movie ever written and my mind will not be changed

oh my god YES. Like the whole Russians thing was kinda like…what the fuck? But I did love Robin and Alexei. I feel like they really fucked up Hopper's character, tho, and that makes me sad because he was my favorite character in the first two seasons :/

Also the Into the Woods movie is good and I like it more than the show because the

felt like it was just for shock value and I don't like it.
But cutting Jack's song to Milky White was a bad choice
