Killian chuckled softly. "Yeah. Everything's fine." he replied, standing and sighing softly.
Killian chuckled softly. "Yeah. Everything's fine." he replied, standing and sighing softly.
Jade raised a brow slightly as she approached. ”Are you sure? You can tell me if something is wrong. I promise not to judge you or turn anything against you.”
"Nah, it's fine. I was just…talking with Sparky." Killian replied, stretching.
”Should I be worried?” she chuckled glancing at her bike, not really worried at all.
"Nah." Killian sighed softly. "Now. Where are we going?" he asked, raising his eyebrows at her.
Jade nodded, grabbing her civilian helmet. ”Do you know the Chinese restaurant off 37th St?” she asked as she went to stand next to her bike, very comfortable with him driving.
Killian sat on the bike, and thought for a moment. He nodded. "Yeah. Why?" he replied, raising his eyebrows. "That where we're going?"
”Actually, there's a little family-owned hole-in-the-wall place very close to that one and they're much better.” she smirked as she sat behind him, adjusting her skirt slightly before wrapping her arms around his middle still being careful of his burn.
"Oh, alright." Killian replied softly. He started up the bike, and started driving.
Jade frowned slightly as she noticed how quiet he had been lately. What exactly had he and Sparky been talking about?
Killian ran a hand through his hair as he drove, heading towards the corner she had talked about.
”What’s on your mind, Killian?” she asked out of concern for him.
"Nothing. Just…what Sparky and I were talking about." he replied.
She hummed. ”Do you want to tell me about it? I won't be offended.”
"Nah, it's fine." He replied, clearing his throat softly. "We're here." He parked th bike, and glanced back at her. "Now where?"
”If you're sure.” Jade nodded and slid off the bike. ”It’s over this way.” she waved him over as she walked in the right direction.
Killian got off the bike, and followed her. "Don't worry, I'm sure." He replied easily.
Jade rolled her eyes at his reluctance but didn't press him. The inside of the building was decorated in a very traditional Chinese homey manner, not quite the same as some of the more popular Chinese restaurants.
A short motherly looking woman looked up as the two entered. ”Aaah! Jade! 再次見到你真好!” she called out walking quickly towards them.
”你好陳秀太太.” Jade replied with a bow.
Killian blinked. "I don't speak Chinese…" He said with a soft laugh. "So uhm…help?"
”Killian, this is Chen Xiu. She owns the restaurant. Unfortunately, she doesn't speak English but I'm fluent in Chinese so don't worry about it.” Jade smiled at him before introducing him to Chen Xiu.
”他是一個非常有魅力的年輕人.” the dark-haired woman complimented with an approving look that made Jade blush. ”您的挑逗其他朋友今天會加入您嗎?”
Jade shook her head. ”沒有. 只有我們倆.”
Killian nodded. "Nice to meet you, ma'am." He replied with a quick smile.
Chen Xiu gave a brief nod to Jade and picked up a menu for Killian before leading them to a table. She acknowledged Killian said something, so she turned to Jade for a translation. ”哦. 年輕人,也很高興認識你.” she smiled.
”She just said it's nice to meet you too.” Jade told him as she sat down.
Killian smiled and noddee, sitting down. "Alright. Thank you." He replied.
Chen Xiu left the menu, fortunately in English, for him and winked at Jade before leaving.
Jade pretended to ignore the no-so subtle gesture. ”You want anything other than water to drink?” she asked Killian.
Killian raised an eyebrow at the wink, but didn't comment. "Just water is fine." he replied.
Jade nodded and let herself relax in the chair. It had been a while since she last came here and she was just realizing how much she missed this place.
Killian sighed softly, looking over at her. "It's a nice place."
”It really is.” she agreed with a light chuckle. ”Food’s amazing too.” she smiled.
He grinned. "I can't wait to try it, then." he replied with a smile.
”You already know what you're getting?” she asked gesturing at the menu.
