"Oh, I've been great!" Daeshim looked back at Lily with a smile. "Um, sorry, but we have some plans and we'd better get going. It was very nice talking with you Mr. Takahashi." He nodded his head slightly and smiled.

Lily copied him, nodding her head and slipping around him. They hugged quickly before Lily hopped away with a giggle. “Bye, dad,” she added, going to stand next to Daeshim.

“Bye, Lils,” her dad replied with a smile and slight shake of his head in a way that was so indescribably dad-ish. “Don’t get into any trouble, you too.” Lily rolled her eyes. Mr.Takahashi was such a stereotypical dad.

"Don't you worry, sir, Lily is safe with me." Daeshim smiled at him one last time before turning around to open his car door for Lily. He went to the other side, but not before waving to Mr. Takahashi. He got in his car and closed his door. "So, where to first?"

@MusicElle-is-here

Lily hopped into the passenger side as her dad closed the front door. “Hmm, I’m pretty full, so maybe we could go to the park or the bookstore before we get bubble tea if that’s all right with you?” she suggested, buckling her seatbelt.

"Yeah, same here. Let's go to the park and we'll decide what to do after that." Daeshim turned onto an empty road to a different park than the day before.

“Sounds good!” Lily chirped, wondering absentmindedly about Deashim’s affinity for back roads. It wasn’t new or anything, but her mind wandered easily. She glanced over at him. He looked really handsome today, and she turned to resume staring out the window so she wouldn’t stare at him.

During the drive, Daeshim glanced at Lily multiple times, but he kept focus on the road. They finally arrived and Dae parked the car, smiling. He hopped out and ran to the other side to open the door for Lily.

Lily giggled, charmed as always by his chivalry. She hopped out of the car, bursting with happiness. She was a happy person most of the time, and today was no exception. She beamed at Daeshim.

Daeshim took Lily's hand once she got out, and closed the door. "Okay, so we have the playground, that bench over there, that big tree, or the pond. Where to first?" He asked with a smile. He locked the car and started walking to the entrance of the park.

"Oh, my bad!" Dae said with a giggle. He lead Lily over to the swings and momentarily let go of her hand so they could get on the swings.

@MusicElle-is-here

Lily hopped onto one of them, glancing at Daeshim. Swings always made her feel like a little kid again, as they had been her favorite part of the playground (and still were). “Bet I can get higher than you,” she teased, thinking back to the argument they had several years ago.

"Bet!" Daeshim yelled maybe too loud as he started swinging, determined. He had a huge grin on his face and he kept looking over at Lily to see her progress.

@MusicElle-is-here

Lily laughed as she began swinging as well, having gotten started just a moment after him. “No fair! You started early!” she cried, sounding just like a seven-year-old again before bursting into a fit of giggling.

Daeshim joined her, unable to speak since he was laughing to much. He didn't stop swinging even though he knew he started before Lily. The day had just barely started and he was already haveing so much fun.

Lily tried to swing faster, pumping her legs back and forth, but she was several inches shorter than Daeshim, and so were her legs. She honestly didn’t care though, since she was laughing too hard to get very high anyway. She wasn’t too far behind him, though.

Daeshim noticed that Lily wasn't too far behind him, so he started pumping his legs harder. Even though it was just swings, Dae's competitive nature took over and he needed to win.

@MusicElle-is-here

Lily smiled at Daeshim’s desire to win, jumping harder herself, though she wasn’t quite as determined to win as him. She was still behind him, and trying to gain on him, but it was difficult. She didn’t want to give in just yet though, going higher and higher.

Dae's competitiveness definitely helped when he became Matrix, it drove him to beat whomever he was against. His legs were somehow starting to get tired, but that wouldn't stop his desire to get the highest.

@MusicElle-is-here

Lily sighed, giving up as her legs were starting to get tired. “You win,” she said with a smile, not looking upset in the least. She had always been a good sport.

Daeshim let a satisfied smile take over his lips. "I told you I'd win!" He stopped pumping his legs quite so much, but he did keep them going so he wouldn't lose height. He looked at Lily, his smile widening.

@MusicElle-is-here

Lily giggled, meeting his eyes and smiling back. She had stopped pumping her legs for a moment to let them rest and was sailing along, gradually losing altitude until she began pumping her legs again. Her cheeks were flushed with the excitement and happiness.

His grew, even more, when they met eyes. This brought back so many fond memories and it was also creating so many memories. He slowly let himself lose some altitude, trying to match speeds and heights with Lily.

@MusicElle-is-here

Lily smiled as he did this, now pumping her legs again. It felt nice, and reminded her of her childhood. It seemed kind of perfect here, right now. “This is just as fun as it was when we were seven.”

"Of course it is! Swings are fun even if you are a 97-year-old grandma." Daeshim couldn't think of a better moment. Well, he could but it only ever involved Lily. She was definitely one of, if not the, most important thing in his life.

@MusicElle-is-here

“So you’re still going to swing you’re nintey-seven? Sounds like a challenge,” Lily said with a laugh. “You’re right though. Swings are great for all ages.”

Deleted user

"I'm gonna swing when I'm ninety-eight!" Daeshim giggled, still looking at Lily. He had managed to match her swing so they were going at the same time.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Okay, we’ll have to see about that, gramps,” she teased. She smiled at him. Being with Daeshim was so easy, so natural, and it made her happy like nothing else could. “That should be fun to watch.”

"You may have to push me, but I will do it, don't you worry, Lily." Saying "Lily" made Daeshim happy. He didn't realize how much just saying that name would mean to him.
