“Yeah, me too,” Lily agreed, closing her eyes. “It was scary, but luckily I don’t think anyone got seriously injured.” Matrix always somehow showed up right on time.

"Yeah, I'm glad you're okay. Thankfully Earthquake didn't get close to your section." Daeshim looked at the fountain, watching the water move. This was a really nice way to calm down after the events that had happened less than half an hour before.

“Yeah, me too,” she added. Hanging out here with him was actually a bit romantic in her mind, but she didn’t know if he felt the same. “What are you doing tomorrow? I was going to hang out with Rose but something came up last minute. It seems like she’s too busy for me these days.”

"Oh, nothing I guess. What do you wanna do tomorrow?" Daeshim smiled and lifted his head up, kissing the top of Lily's head. He was so glad it was Friday, he had all weekend to chill and hang out with Lily as well as get a good plan to ask her to the dance without much stress.

Lily felt a warm rush when Daeshim kissed her head, glad that he probably couldn’t see her blush. “I don’t know,” she answered vaguely. “I heard that there’s a new bubble tea place if you wanna try that.”

"That sounds amazing! You know how much I love bubble tea." Daeshim said as his smile widened. "I suppose we don't really need a plan, we can just do whatever we feel like." That's what he did on a regular basis, never knowing what he was even going to do the next day.

Lily giggled. “Yeah, good plan. Or, non-plan. Anti-plan. Whatever.” She always had fun hanging out with Daeshim, even if they were just sitting around doing nothing. She was glad that he volunteered to hang out with her so quickly.

Daeshim laughed with Lily. It was nice, hanging out with the best friend anyone could ever ask for. He would do anything for her, literally anything. If she was not in a good mood, he would do anything in his power to help her feel better. He couldn't imagine not doing that for her.

Lily breathed out a sigh of contentment. “Seriously though, we have got to try their bubble tea,” she added. “I think the place is called The Tea Spot or something? They have all sorts of weird flavors!”

"Ooo! Sounds fun! And delicious!" Daeshim smiled, now very excited for the next day. He was almost daydreaming while looking into the water. Somehow he had managed to get his homework done that week so he was a free man for a couple days.

“I know right?” Lily agreed. A slew of ideas ran through her head, like maybe having a competition to see who could order the weirdest tea or the best tea or something. Or they could get some tea and then go walk around the mall or the park. There so many possibilities! And Lily didn’t particularly care what they did, since one of her favorite people ever would be with her.

By then, the sun had barely started setting and Daeshim realized how late it was getting. "Hey, lily? It's getting late, should I take you home?" He didn't want her to get in trouble with her stepmother so he always tried to get her home at a reasonable time.

“Oh yeah, probably,” she agreed. Both her father and Delia would be worried about her after Earthquake, since she assumed the attack would be on the news or something. She wished she didn’t have to leave, though.

Daeshim let out a breath and sat up straight and stood up. He was still holding Lily's hand so he helped her up. They went to his car together and he opened the door for Lily, hesitantly letting go of her hand so he could go to the driver side. He got in and buckled himself in, starting the car.

Lily got in and buckled herself in as well, shooting another smile at Daeshim. She texted her dad that she’d be home soon and then looked back at Daeshim. “Thanks for driving me and everything,” she said. She knew he drove her around quite a bit, but still felt the need to thank him every time.

"Of course!" Daeshim assured her with a smile. He left the park and made his way back to Lily's house. "So I'll pick you up at 9:00 tomorrow?" He asked, glancing over to her. It could be considered early, but he wanted to spend as much time with her as possible.

Lily nodded. “Sounds good,” she responded. She usually got up fairly early on weekends anyway, because she liked having most of the day to get things done.

Daeshim nodded as he pulled up to Lily's house. "Well, here we are. See you tomorrow!" He said with a smile. He gave Lily as small huge before she got out.

She hugged him back, taking a second to breath in this moment, before letting go and opening the door and getting out. She hoped that Delia wouldn’t be angry that she hadn’t come straight home, and that she and her father weren’t too worried.

He waited until she got inside to drive away. He let out a small breath, a little smile on his lips. He always felt so good when hanging out with Lily, even after for a bit as well. Once he pulled into his driveway, he went inside and immediately started scrolling through Pinterest so he could get some inspiration for asking Lily to Homecoming.

Lily woke up fairly early the next morning, like usual, and got ready for the day. She spent a few minutes deciding what to wear and settling on a light blue overall skirt with a black-and-white striped shirt, pink sneakers, and white crew socks with a pink heart near the top. She left her hair down, but put pink hair clips in.

When she was ready, she went to the kitchen and had a bowl of cereal for breakfast. Her father was there, too, and Lily told him that she and Daeshim were planning on hanging out.

Daeshim woke up that morning, very excited. He had no idea why, but he wanted to look a bit better today. He decided on his favorite pair of light-wash skinny jeans and a short-sleeved floral button-up shirt. Of course, he also wore his black Converse High-Tops. Glancing at his phone for the time, he rushed into the kitchen to eat a small breakfast and left to pick up Lily.

Like she had predicted, Lily’s dad was thrilled. “I have to say hello to Dae!” he exclaimed, a grin on his face. Lily giggled.

“Dad…” she complained, but she clearly didn’t mind that much. She still found it amusing. She put her dishes in the sink.

Dae rushed into Lily's driveway and parked his car. He pulled down the mirror and attempted to fix his hair even though there was nothing wrong with it. He got out of his car and locked it. Taking big strides, he made it to the door quickly and he rung the door bell.

Lily’s dad rushed to the door, beating her there as he opened it with a grin on his face. Lily hurried after him with a smirk. Her dad was already dressed for work with a button up shirt, slacks, and a tie.

“Daeshim!” he exclaimed, giving the other boy a hug. Her dad was a bit too affectionate sometimes, she thought. She smiled awkwardly from behind him.

"Hello, Mr. Takahashi!" Daeshim smiled and hugged the man back. "So how have you been?" He asked as they ended the hug.

“Good, good,” he replied with a smile of his own. “How have you been? Lily still talks about you all the time.” He winked and Lily groaned from behind him.

“Daaad,” she complained. He shrugged.
