"But I feel like I could be doing better…" Nathaniel let V pull him close, melting into his touch.

"don't worry, we have all the time in the world to improve." He pulled away slightly and smiled at him

Nathaniel held V tighter, not wanting the other to move away from him.

"I'm not going anywhere love. Don't worry," he muttered softly

"Don't leave me…" Nathaniel whispered, holding tighter. "Please…"

He hugged him tight "I would never, angel." He promised

Nathaniel nodded, his wings hanging loosely on his back as he buried his face in V's shoulder. "I love you…" He said in a muffled voice.

He noticed the relaxation in Nathaniel's wings and smiled softly "I love you too angel. So very much." He kissed his temple, keeping his lips in place

Nathaniel smiled, almost purring if he could do such a thing. His wings quivered ever so slightly, and he let himself relax a bit more.

V smiled "what was that? Are you a cat now dear?" He nuzzled his neck "now that we've gotten dressed and cuddled, how bout breakfast?"

"I don't wanna let go…" Nathaniel held tighter to V, refusing to move.

"but I'm hungry," he whined back "it'll only be temporary, then we can go back to cuddling."

Nathaniel sighed and reluctantly got off of V, but he didn't let go of his hand as V dragged him to the kitchen.

V pulled Nathaniel in front of him and picked him up, setting him down on the counter "alright so whatcha wanna eat?"

Nathaniel swung his legs from the counter, considering. "Do we still have bagels?"

He glanced around and checked in the fridge "yep! Two more from the other day."

"Can I have one, please?" Nathaniel looked down at the ground, noting how far down it seemed. It wasn't really that far, but the counter was high enough that Nathaniel couldn't have gotten up on it on his own.

He nodded and pulled one out. "Toasted with butter or cream cheese?" He asked, grabbing some milk and shutting the fridge with his hip

"Just a plain bagel, like usual… never had it any other way." Nathaniel reached for the bagel, almost falling off the counter.

V laughed and put the bagel on a plate. Handing it over to him "you never know, maybe you'll like it another way." He said, pouring the mink into a cup and putting it into the microwave

"Why are you heating up the milk?" Nathaniel took a bite of his bagel, swinging his legs again.

"To make hot chocolate. It'll help the chocolate melt a bit faster if it's preheated. He reached into a cabinet and pulled out a thick Mexican chocolate bar. He opened a drawer and pulled out a knife, chopping of bits of chocolate. He popped a chunk into his mouth and offer Nathaniel one "try it."

Nathaniel tentatively put the chocolate in his mouth. "It's… it's good! What is it again?" He took another bite of his bagel.

He smiled and nodded, handing him some more before pulling a chilli peppers from the fridge "Mexican hot chocolate."

Nathaniel accepted the piece and ate it, his legs still swinging from the edge of the countertop. He finished his bagel, watching V make the hot chocolate.

He pulled out the milk after 2 minutes and poured in the chopped chocolate and and little bit of the chili. He put back in the microwave and punched in 2 more minutes

"Why'd you put the red stuff in?" Nathaniel watched curiously, glancing between V and the ground.

"chili? It brings out the chocolate taste." He explained, taking the hot chocolate out and storing it until the chocolate melted "he stopped in a bit a d closed his eyes in content "want to try?" He asked with a smile, passing him the cup, "careful, it's hot."

Nathaniel clearly didn't listen well enough, because he just sipped it and immediately burned his tongue. He quickly handed the cup back to V so he wouldn't drop it and stuck out his tongue a bit. "It hurt me…"

V shook his head and smiled, taking the cup and setting down, quickly getting a cup and filling it with water. He handed it to him "drink," he instructed " I told you it was hot love,"
