When William picked her up, Amber wrapped both her arms around his neck and tightened her legs around his waist. She smiled at him when they sat down, still slightly breathless.
“I’m not perfect, far from it, but thank you anyway,” she whispered, nudging his nose with her own.
William kissed her nose before bumping them together, a fond smile on his features.
“You are perfect to me,” he told her, eyes closing as he breathed her scent in. “Stay with me tonight?”
Amber paused at his request. She knew he wouldn’t do anything, but… No. No, it was fine. He wouldn’t even think of trying anything unless she asked for it, much less actually do anything.
“Okay. I’ll stay with you,” she whispered, opening her eyes to look at him softly.
“Thank you,” he murmured, pecking her lips before he settled them on the couch, not wanting her to be uncomfortable suggesting the bed. He pulled her on top and held her tightly.
Tomorrow, he would show her just how much he cared.
Amber nuzzled his cheek before resting her head on his shoulder. “Should we watch something before we go to bed?”
“Whatever you want to watch,” William murmured, rubbing soft circles on her back. “We will watch.”
“Hm… Infinity War?” Amber suggested, timing her head just enough to kiss his jaw.
William nuzzled her head. “Infinity War it is, then.”
(Uh… 9ish when they finish? 🤷🏼♀️)
(Okay~)
William yawned right when the credits rolled by, his fingers buried in his girlfriend’s hair. He wouldn’t say it aloud, but he much preferred cuddling with her and watching a movie. He was going soft—too soft.
“Are you tired?” William murmured, eyes half closed.
Amber hummed and smiled up at him, sleepiness evident in her slightly blurry eyes. “Yeah. A bit. Are you?” she murmured.
“I am,” he replied, blinking. “Shall I take you to your room?”
“No, no. I’ll go change quickly and then meet you in your room?” Amber suggested with a yawn.
William nodded, reaching out to kiss her on her forehead. He didn’t even think twice about agreeing.
Amber smiled and stood, stretching when she was on her feet. “Oh, wait, actually… Do you have a hoodie I can wear?” she asked, grinning at him.
William furrowed his eyebrows. “I do, but why do you need it?” He cocked his head to the side. Why was she grinning like that?
“So I can wear it,” Amber declared with a shrug. “I don’t have any of your hoodies, and I want one.”
William merely chuckled. “Okay, Blue,” he shook his head. “You can have it. My hoodie.”
“Great,” Amber chuckled. “I’ll be expecting that when I come back.”
“All right,” William sat up slowly, running a hand through his hair. “I’ll wait for you.”
Amber quickly pecked his cheek before making her way to her room. She shut her door behind herself and leaned against it, letting out a slow breath. A few minutes later, she emerged from her room in a blue tank top and gray sweatpants.
When William went into his room, the first thing he did was take out one of his favorite hoodies. It was blue in color, and that was one of the reasons why had selected it.
So he changed quickly, putting on a comfortable shirt—since he couldn’t sleep shirtless—and sweatpants, and waited for Amber.
Amber madebher way over to William’s room and knocked on the door, waiting for him to open it. Upon seeing her boyfriend, she smiled and looked him over, chuckling at the sight of his pants.
“We had the same idea, I see,” she mused.
William merely chuckled, shaking his head before making way for Amber to come in. Honestly, it wasn't like his room was anything special. Dark walls, just the way he liked it. It was clean and organized, nothing out of place. His violin case was leaning against his cabinet, the guitar case on its top. His flute was on his desk, right next to a stack of papers. His therapy records. Everything he'd done wrong with barely anything he'd done right. He shook his head. That was the first time he had let a female in his room willingly–not in the dorm, not back at home. His sanctuary of peace. Even Caroline hadn't been allowed in there.
"They're easier to sleep in," he replied before his eyes shifted to the shirt she wore. And mentally cursed. He breathed out, turning his head away. "I also got out a hoodie. Like you demanded."
Amber shook her head with an amused smile. “I didn’t demand anything, hun. I asked and you agreed. So thank you,” she chuckled, her smile widening at the reaction he gave.
"Anything you ask, it'll be a demand," William said quietly. "And I'll listen. If it's within reason. With questions asked. Come on now."
“Ah… So, hoodie?” Amber asked, a faint blush coating her cheeks as she held her hand out.
She stepped farther into the room and looked around taking it in. The last time she’d been inside his room, he’d gotten upset with her for doing so. Granted, she had technically broke a rule, but still. She’d been trying to help him get better.
William walked over to his bed and grabbed the hoodie before he went back to Amber, setting the warm clothing in her hand. He noticed the expression on her face and was thinking the exact same thing as she was. The last time she had been in his room, he nearly hurt her. He still regretted it.
"I don't like people in my room," he tried to explain himself, rubbing the back of his neck. "My parents excluded. You are… the first person I've let in with my consent. And also the first one who won't need permission anymore."
