"want to try to get out of here?" Jay said.
"want to try to get out of here?" Jay said.
Jordan runs an irritable hand through his hair, "Outcasts can't interact. They can't say anything. They *can't help. You are just an extra." He rocks back and forth as the things the managers say daily pounded through his head
Zyra stayed in her room, reading her book as everyone else did whatever they wanted. She never had any roommates since no one really liked her.
Kale pulled themselves to their feet, rubbing their forehead in confusion. "Where is this coming from, you're not usually one to suggest something so outrageously dangerous."
"I'm bored. It is always the same thing everyday." Jay sighed annoyed.
Jordan rocks, muttering to himself. His eyes oddly wide and contracted
Jay heard something maybe down the hall but wasn't sure.
Jordan coughs, gagging as his hunger was starting to get to him
"And how long has it taken you to realise that its the same?" Kale paused for a moment, hearing faint mutterings from somewhere. They followed the sound and saw Jordan, in his room, in an unhealthy state. It concerned Kale how the boy was rocking and although they wanted to say something they didnt know what.
Jay got up left the room and walked down the hall. He followed the sound and stepped into a room.
Jordan looks up with a jerk and snarls, "What do you want?"
Kale shrugged, keeping his eyes on the boy. "I was going to ask if you were okay, I didn't mean to come across as rude earlier, but it's clear you are certainly not okay, and for an entirely different reason."
"want to sneak out with us?" Jay asked looking in what he hoped was the correct direction.
Jordan freezes for a moment, "Sneak out?"
"yeah maybe." Don't know how though.
"Genius over here is bored. And we need proper food, which you need too since you didn't eat. Again." Kale turned away from the boy with a huff."
Jordan snorts, "Look. In all my life. Do you know how many times I have tried to get out of this place?"
"anyone have an idea. Because I haven't seen any way out." He said intentionally making the joke.
They mumbled. "Approximately 67 times." Kale frowned, sighing, and ran a hand through their hair. "Look do you wanna try or not?"
"Was that a joke?" He didn't get it
Kale turned to Jay, resting their head on his shoulder, letting out a sigh of frustration.
"and yes it was supposed to be a joke. Because I am completely blind." Jay explained.
"Oh." Jordan hugs his knees
"Don't worry about it, Jordan, he makes more jokes about being blind than any bully ever has." They moved to sit on the nearest bed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Oh really?" Jordan smirks
"I'm assuming, I don't pay that much attention honestly." Kale let out a chuckle, instantly feeling bad about lying. In truth they paid a lot of attention, especially when the bullying started.
Jordan narrows his eyes at the non blind guy. He still didn't know their names. Meaning he still had no reason to trust them
"by the way I'm Jay. Also I have heard of a way out. Though I didn't see it" Jay said to them.
"Did you just read my mind?" Jordan makes a overly dramatic looks of confusion
"Don't know. But can you tell me today's date and the current time?" Jay asked.
