Nathaniel looked away, his bandaged wings feeling very exposed. "I… t-the doctor said I can't fly anymore…" His eyes welled up with tears and his breath caught in his throat.

Charlotte came out of the alley way, wiping the remenants of blood off her mouth when she bumped into Nathaniel, "Oh! Hey there Nathaniel. How are you feeling?" She asked guiltyly, wiping the blood on the back of her black dress, her eyes slowly turning back to a icy blue.

Nathaniel quickly tried to brush away his tears. "Oh! H-hi! I'm… I'm fine…" He tried to fold his wings behind his back so they were less visible, but he grimaced when it turns out he couldn't, it was just incredibly painful.
