Indeed, they did not remember. Frowning, Indigo tried to think of ways to send a message to them. The butler, perhaps, or simply a letter addressed to their residence. “Alright. Thank you.”

@Tired-but-passionate

“I will.” Indigo gave a nod of farewell, then went back inside the room after quietly opening and closing the door. Checking to see if Prince Riven was still asleep, they then went into her room to examine the contents of the bag.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Lor left after that, heading back to their home.

Riven was indeed still asleep, sprawled out on his bed. The young prince looked softer in sleep, face relaxed and open, for once no trace of the mocking, sly smile or the glint in his eyes. He just looked young, and soft. With his ears covered, he could almost be mistaken for a lovely young human. The kind more likely to be found in their owner's bed and used for pleasure than anything else. Of course, as soon as he was awake, that illusion, that idea that he and Indigo could ever be equals, would vanish like dew in the sun.

@Tired-but-passionate

(oh no he's hot–)

Upon opening the bag, Indigo found a packaged box that looked a size that would take up most of her lap. As quietly and carefully as possible, they removed the packaging. Inside, there was a container filled with rows of small vials, about the length of their finger. When she pulled one out to look inside, clear liquid filled about three-quarters of the vial. Indigo smiled to herself, then placed the vial back with the others, repackaged it, and closed the bag. They could not use it now, of course.
Indigo bent down, pulling out the loose tile in the floor, revealing the secret compartment where she kept ingredients for tea and tonics. They gently placed the bag inside after moving the ingredients out of the way, then closed the tile over it.

(lmfao "always has been, kid")

Riven kept sleeping, rolling over onto his side with a sigh. He likely wouldn't wake for a while longer, with how tired he had been when he went to bed. At least he was the only one there right now; no lovers shared his bed at the moment, no other Fae there to order Indigo around.

@Tired-but-passionate

(Lol yep)

Indigo ventured out of their room again, and returned to cleaning. She had thought about annoying Riven so he would wake up, but that would probably only be enjoyable in her imagination. Once she had gathered all the clothes, they began folding and stacking them.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Riven kept sleeping for a long while, shifting every now and again in his sleep. But he didn't awaken. His hair was messy and his clothes were rumpled, his dark, curly hair spilling across his forehead.

@Tired-but-passionate

(C’mon Riven wake up so I can roast you)

Once they folded all of the clothes, they took each of the individual stacks they had made and took them into the prince’s room so she could put them in the closet. Over time she had gotten used to interacting with his things, as it wasn’t too different from what they would do in Olympia’s room. They tried to be as quiet as possible, for as much as annoying him would be enjoyable, she valued the bliss that came with his slumber.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(lmao)

When he did eventually wake up, he blinked up at the ceiling, taking a deep breath. He sat up, rubbing his eyes and feeling about for his water glass. Once he found it, he took a sip, still a bit drowsy and out of it. His black hair was sticking up in messy, unkempt tufts, soft curls hanging into his forehead and curling up towards the ceiling, reaching every which way. His eyes were soft and unfocused, and his mouth hadn't quite pulled into that angry, bothered expression that it so often did.

@Tired-but-passionate

(Yeahhhhh look at this idiot bastard man—)

Indigo froze, looked at him. She could only hope that a massive hangover would kick in and he would be incapacitated for the foreseeable future. They cautiously returned to their work, placing garments neatly in the closet, saying nothing.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He turned his head to look over at her, eyes narrowing. He didn't speak yet, though, just took another sip of water in order to help mitigate the hangover. His body was so used, at this point, to copious amounts of alcohol, that his hangovers weren't as bad as they could have been.

@Tired-but-passionate

They could feel his gaze on them, it was that uncomfortable. “Your Highness,” she said. It was merely an acknowledgement of his status and that he was awake, not even a real greeting.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He sighed, looking up at the ceiling again. "Get out of my sight." he said, voice a bit hoarse and low from being asleep for so long. He pressed a hand to his forehead, squinting just a little bit. He sipped more water, knowing and hoping that it would help with the hangover.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He stiffened, turning to look at her again, his gaze narrowing. "Excuse me?" he demanded, shifting so that his legs were dangling from the bed rather than stretched out across it. "What did you just say to me?" his voice was low and a bit angry, too.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Riven frowned, running a hand through his hair. "You don't talk back to me." he said, standing up and glaring at them. "You are here to do as I say, not to talk back to me."

@Tired-but-passionate

Her muscles tensed. She could feel his eyes boring into them. At first, no words came out of their mouth. Their movements subconsciously quickened, trying to get done as quickly as possible.
“Well, what if I don’t want to do as you say?” She asked.

@Tired-but-passionate

“Okay then, what if I just don’t do what I’m supposed to?” At this point she was just extending the conversation for the sake of time. They knew full well what would happen if she didn’t do what they were supposed to do, or at least, they thought she did.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He glared at them. "You know what would happen. If you really do not, then you have become a complete failure of a slave, rather than mostly a failure." he took in a breath, eyes still resting on them.

@Tired-but-passionate

For some reason, an uncontrollable smile had grown on Indigo’s face. They had no clue why, it certainly wasn’t because they were happy. She could feel themself shaking, and her pace began to falter. Then suddenly, she was done. There were no more clothes. Indigo got their feet under them and dashed out of the room, their held breath bursting out in some kind of crazed laugh. When she reached their room, she shut the door and sank to the floor, their breath becoming ragged.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He watched her, brows arched and face somewhere between confusion and anger. He didn't know why they had run out of the room laughing, didn't really understand what had just happened. Perhaps his slave was having some sort of nervous breakdown? He hoped not; that would be very inconvenient.

@Tired-but-passionate

Their gaze wandered over to where the loose tile was on the floor. They were still breathing heavily, and she felt her eyes well up with tears. What was going on? As Indigo wiped her eyes, they realized they had been… scared?
A memory surfaced out of the recesses of their mind. She had been maybe five or six years old. Hungry, with no sense of foresight. But they had known that the kitchens had better food than what she usually got to eat, so like an idiot, she had stolen some. It so happened that the head chef had caught them in the act, and raced after her. Indigo, scared and not wanting to give up the food in their arms, pretended it was a game. They were playing tag, that was all. She just had to make it into the slave’s quarters and hide before the chef caught them. Here Indigo’s memory faltered, but she could remember the sound of their own laughter bouncing off of the walls as they ran, the pounding in her chest when she could feel a towering figure close behind. She couldn’t remember what had happened after, though. Perhaps their father caught them first and took the food away. That felt the most likely.
Why was she remembering that now? She hadn’t stolen anything. Their gaze focused on the loose tile again. There was more cleaning they had been planning to do, but they did not want to go back outside. She stayed rooted to the spot, not moving except to shiver slightly.
