Nathaniel kept his mouth closed. Ember wouldn’t rule. Ender would take over and she would be prepared for exaction. “Nothing will happen to me sweetheart. And if anything does, you’ll do fine. Trust me, you’re fit to do a lot of things.” Once Ember followed him outside, he grabbed her face gently, titling her head up. “You or I will not die. I will not allow it. We’ll fight to the very end and survive. What feeling do you have in your stomach? Maybe I can settle it.” A bow-staff materialized in his hand and a dagger in the other. He handed Ember the dagger.
Ember took a breath somehow just talking to Nathaniel made her feel better she nodded and smiled a little bit and when he grabbed her she felt butterflies in her stomach "well now it's butterflies.. " she said nervously leaning up and kissing him before grabbing the dagger
Nathaniel smiled, a smug look returning to his face. “See, I settled it! Now you have butterflies— wait butterflies!” But before he got to finish his sentence, Ember’s lips were pressed against his, initiating another kiss. He let Ember have the dagger, but initiated another kiss, wrapping his arms around her neck. He pulled away, glancing away. “I guess maybe I should keep that to when we’re in private…” Take a deep breath, he looked Ember in the eyes. “How does the dagger feel in your hands?”
She laughed a little bit "oh what do you mean by the dear?" She gave him one last small kiss before looking down at the dagger "I mean it feels like a dagger? I've never held one before… "
Nathaniel raised an eyebrow, a smirk consuming his face. "Oh, you know what that means. But that's for later." He kissed her back on the forehead, looking to see how she held the dagger. "Well, first off, you're holding it wrong." He readjusted the dagger, laying her fingers on different parts of the hilt. "Better. Show me your best slash. It shouldn't be that hard. It's like slashing with your claws. On singular motion."
Her face went red for a minute as she thought about what he was implying she did in fact know what he ment she shook the though out of her head and brought her attention back to reality and gripped the hilt and took a step back and swung as if she were attacking with her claws a couple times before looking up a Nathaniel with an embarrassed face "how was that? '
Nathaniel felt her face as it heated up and went red. He enjoyed feeling the heat to her skin as the though settled in. Winking at her, he positions his bo-staff over his left shoulder. Evaluating her battled moves, he shrugged. "Not bad for someone who's never used a dagger before. Now for the real challenge. You're going to block my strike." Without a warning, he swung his staff towards her right shoulder.
Ember nodded knowingly with a smirk as he complimented her when she swung the staff immediate response was too move out of the way moving only her shoulder so he would miss it and she grabbed the staff pulling it out of his grasp an got in a battle stance while only staring at him not attacking just watching for his next move
Nathaniel was surprised that she pulled the staff out of his hands. "Well, that's new." He muttered. He didn't want it to get too dangerous in case he hurt her, but he figured that she was ready. Opening his hand, a demon obsidian sword materialized in his hand. Nathaniel swiftly struck for her side, trying to see what she would do next. And he hoped to hell that he didn't hurt her.
Ember snickerd and went into a defense position but once he had the sword it wouldn't end well she pulled the staff up to protect herself but by the time her arms got to the area in danger the sword made contact with her side causing her to cry out " fuck! Oh shit Nathaniel.. " she clutched her side as blood started to trickle out onto the floor and she dropped the staff
Nathaniel knew this would end up happening. Why did he trust she would move out of the way? He was a fucking idiot. “Shit!” He ran over to Ember’s side, gently taking her in his arms. He laid her in his lap, removing her hands to address the wound. “It’s not too deep. You’ll be okay, it’ll heal on it own in a few seconds.” He held her close, almost cradling her, pulling her head close to his chest. “I’m so sorry. I though you would move out of the way. I shouldn’t have tried it with a sword.”
Ember couldn't stop herself from laughing a little bit maybe it was how she felt with pain or maybe it was the way he cared for her she leaned against him kissing his cheek softly "it's okay it was a simple mistake I'm not mad" she smiled up at him warmly as she placed one of her hands above his
Nathaniel was glad she was well enough to laugh. “You’re numb to the pain now, aren’t you?” He held his hand over the wound while it quickly healed, trying to keep blood loss minimal. “Simple is a way to put it, but if I swung any harder, you would have been sliced open.” He still cradled Ember gently, loving the shower of kisses she seemed to give him. “Maybe our training session should end.”
"Not exactly… It hurts but not as bad I have a highish pain tolerance I'll be okay dear I promise you," she smiled at him as she squeezed his hand and helped him apply pressure to her wound "and if our training session if over what will we do?
Nathaniel brushed her black hair out of her face. “That’s good. The slice didn’t pain you too much then. I promised you wouldn’t feel pain and here we are.” He shook his head, applying more pressure to the wound. Ember’s hand pushing down on his applied the last bit of pressure on the wound. He watched the skin stitch itself together slowly. “We can do whatever you wish, my dear. Just make it plausible.”
Ember kissed him softly "look it didn't go as planned and that's okay I'm not mad I promise you that" she whinced a little at the pressure being put on the wound and she tried to smile a little bit "amica mea I think you know what I want.. you"
Nathaniel took a deep breath. “Okay.. nothing ever goes as plan, does it?” He lifted his hand from the wound. “Look at that! It’s healed.” He smiled at Ember, eyebrows raising as she spoke. “Are you suggesting—well, I suppose I can work it out.” He stood up, carrying Ember back into the building. The demon carried her up the stairs and into his bedroom. He placed her on his bed. “Well.” He stood over her, an eye still on where the wound was.
"No I don't believe it does" she said laughing a little bit she brought her attention down to the wound and her eyes lit up "hey yeah it is! " she laughed a little more it was hard to believe how happy she was right now but she was and she Nathaniel brought her back to his room that's when she got nervous she'd never done anything like this before was she ready for that?
Nathaniel got into bed next to her. “What do you want? Other than me.” The devil was the devil, but he was also a gentleman. He kissed her on the neck. “Do you want to rest? You did just get your side sliced open, or something else?” He gave her a suggestive look. “You seem nervous. You know, if you want, just kiss me. Do whatever you want.” He laid on his back, relaxing on the round bed, closing his eyes for a bit.
Ember smiled at him softly as he looked at her "I don't just want to kiss you Nathaniel…. But I've never done anything like this before.. That why I'm nervous it not because of you or my wound I'm just.. A virgin" she spoke that last part as if she should be embarrassed or something like that
Nathaniel opened an eye. “Well, that’s okay. It’s nothing to be embarrassed over. I’m not going to force you to do anything. It’s all up to you, Ember.” He reached out and grabbed her hand, squeezing it. “You don’t have to do anything.” He pulled Ember closer to him, giving her a kiss on the forehead. “But I am concerned about that wounded area.”
Ember smiled at the kiss giving his hand a light squeeze "that's the thing… You don't have to force me I want to do this.. I want my first to be with you..and as far as the wound goes I think I should be okay it's healed and it doesn't hurt to much. "
Nathaniel raised an eyebrow and then giggled. “That’s the first time I’ve heard that come out of someone’s mouth. Trust me, I haven’t done anything either.” He kissed her hand. “I’m glad your wound is not bothering you. Do what you wish. It is, as I said, your choice.” Although, he did have a warning. “Don’t be too hasty in your decisions.”
She smiled a little and shook her head "it's the first time I've ever felt this way about anyone Nathaniel I love you and I want my first time to be with you, you make me feel safe." She leaned over him and kissed him softly and pulled away for a second to see what he would do before she slipped onto his lap straddling his hips and kissed him again
