Merfolk

Merfolk is a fairly broad categorization which include a number of different cities across Insperaʼs waters. Nearly all find themselves with Fluvian affinities in their magic use, though itʼs not unheard of that a Mer might be born under lune as well. Often left out of political conversations, they often view their realm as a kingdom onto itself, even if they do swear fealty to the monarchʼs of whatever boundary their water home falls under. All Merfolk have the ability to shift into a two legged humanoid form if they so chose, though few take up the opportunity outside of the political elite when theyʼre called to court, or the completely ostracized who find themselves forced to eek out a living up above, usually as fisherfolk.

Winter Merfolk: The most vibrantly and wildly colored of all merfolk. Where the other seasons tend to stick to solid hues, winter merfolk's hair and scales often take on multicolored hues. Opalescent is common in Findius, contrasting with their darker skin.
