Ala is raw magical dust. Unicorns who come into contact with this dust are at severe risk for contracting Horn Rot, though the Ala must be fresh. Since the removal of magic from another being rarely happens (excluding Tirek and Grogar's methods of magic removal, since it involves them directly consuming the removed magic), the odds of contracting Horn Rot are even more rare.

Nubilus marks occur when raw magic meets something external, causing a reaction that leaves pure white streaks on any surface.
