Saba Desert

A small, rocky desert on the southern side of Terrata. It is home to many deposits of valuable minerals and gemstones, so travelers and merchants make treks through here to try and make a quick buck. They often underestimate the dangers, though, and become stranded in the shifting sands.

A clan of reptin Atherians call the desert home, sometimes saving lost humans by pulling them into the much more temperate underground tunnels and nursing them back to health. These reptins are descendants of a few that were stranded by the Aida Spacetime Incident long ago, along with a few Enti that have since become a sizable farmed herd.

The Saba Desert is a notable foothold for the Purists. Some of Shiro's first sermons were held here, and belief in his message of short-term suffering for the sake of long-term peace is widespread.
