Varis is a sword, decorated sparsely, with a silver crossguard inlaid with a single grey-blue gem in the center.

An unknown metal, the strongest in existence, and never dulls. The crossguard is gilded with a thin sheet of silver, with a small blue-grey stone set in the center of it.

None, it's just a sword

Varis itself has a long, odd history. Its first wielder and maker was an Earth elemental, and it was created during the elemental war. After the war, it was put in a vault, and after 50 years, was stolen. It was used by the famed hero Hilaro, in his adventures with the dragons of Stimer. As Varis is impervious to the elements, dragonfire, and most everything else, it is an ideal weapon for the adventurer, and has been passed along, stolen, and lost many times over the decades, until Leilson tracks it down and gives to Buck.
