The God of Pyre
Pyre is known for his passionate and proactive nature, all-consuming while pursuing his goals. For his followers he is righteous, benevolent, and just. His detractors see instead a temperamental and unruly demagogue. His followers are stalwart, resolute people, who value strength and purity. This isn’t to say the followers of Pyre are inherently good, however; they tend to exist on opposite ends of the spectrum, the virtuous and the wicked, similar only in their commitment to their various causes. Rituals of Pyre are distinct for their demonastory nature, in which followers prove their devotion via tests of physical endurance. It’s their belief that through pain does one achieve resilience and prove oneself in the eyes of Pyre. Some, more barbaric sects still practice the rites of sacrifice and self-immolation.
