Rook

On the island of Lost Bell sits what appears to be nothing more than a wizard's tower. Yet the reality of this creation is far, far more frightening than most on the island know.

The creation of an ancient god, Rook was originally created to help with the study of the elementals and elemental realms through the portals. Yet over time those same studies, the energies of the island itself, and the various wizards who inhabited it changed the being in ways even its original creator could have never foreseen.

Even today Rook stands on the island, once made of stone and now so infused with its own flesh to continue harvesting energy to keep itself alive. The current wizard is quite fond of flesh warping experiments, and Rook has some difficulty keeping the creatures from threatening the general population - not for the wizard's sake, but its own as it has no intention of being found out about by those who might not be so understanding of what it is.
