Curse of the Mortal

The inherited side effects of the Old Gods incompatibility with Nature

All sentient beings are descended from Gods, and also Mortal. Therefore all Sentient beings are cursed.

The Old Gods developed a strong, deep hatred for Nature after their loss of immortality to its laws. Their creations inherited this hatred, but being unable to comprehend Nature, it manifested itself as an uncomfortable feeling, a dislike for something that they can't identify.

For many lifeforms there are no obvious symptoms, however those who suffer severe trauma, or simply study Nature to find answers they didn't want to know, will find themselves understanding the Gods hatred for Nature, which can turn them insane within weeks.
