Simon was born to an ex-pat couple from New York and was fortunate enough to have their undivided support in pursuing music. He is the youngest of four children, all of whom were sisters. Out of his family, he was the only one to pursue music and picked up a guitar at the age of 11. He started gigging not long after and relentlessly pursued any guitarist position open to him.
