Has some deep-seated generational prejudices re: public displays of affection especially (but not exclusively) same-sex couples, although she is one of the few family members that Aunty Em is out to
Xenophobic, especially against the French, Germans and Italians, even though her antiquated dialect has a lot of Anglo-Norman French words in it
Recently taken a broad dislike to the idea of Lancaster, where great-x-granddaughter Ruby has gone to live with husband Tom Youngblood, and doesn't call home as often as she should.

An emotionally-driven, shit-stirring schemer.
A strong-minded personality, radiating passion, charisma and altruistic concern. The latter is only actually true for her family, whom she does love (selected members, at least) and would do anything for.
She uses her natural charisma to draw in others and make them believe that her concern for them is genuine. She is, however, genuinely interested in people as she likes gossip and manipulation, and needs to know as much as she can about those she deals with. This means people are often taken in by her interest in their lives and feel special or important as a result of her attention to them.
Before she spawned by "Mr Wend", she was a selfless, romantic oldest child, not quite as much of a dreamer like quiet middle sister Olive, but thin-skinned and sensitive, taking criticism too much to heart, probably more of an ISFJ or INFJ.
Afterwards, she became more focused on protecting her spawn over her sisters' offspring, and enjoyed being at the centre of a large family who depended on her and treated her with deference. The constant deference was addictive, and eventually Beverley became so secure in her new position that she felt entitled to lord it over her sisters, culminating in a low-key splintering of the family into factions. In the 1960s, Hector Wend (The Thirteenth), culled the family and killed off Olive and Eileen, leaving his grandmother in charge of the whole clan. Beverley has been the undisputed leader of the family ever since, not blind to the potential challenges rising up in the ranks but playing a long game to protect herself and the interests of her favourites within the family (and those favourites outside it).

Beverley has always been a housewife, and although she repeatedly refers to Mr Wend, no-one has ever seen him. She claims to be in her 80s but she was born in 1870.
