Daniel grew up around Monster Harvesters in his home town his entire life, and he always noticed that the larger races were ill-equipped. They had to make their own modifications to weapons and armor to better fit their larger shapes, or settle for something that wasn't quite right, and it often cost them their lives more than other races that had their equipment specially made by professionals.

So he took up smithing, and specifically traveled as an adult to learn from others who made equipment for the larger races. He brought those techniques back to Dragondale and opened his shop That's What She Said to specifically cater to them, and within a few months business was booming.

Daniel still does the bulk of weapon smithing, but he's been able to hire others to do armor and even more mundane traveling items such as lanterns that are more fitted for larger hands. He has a steady business and return clientele, and no desire to do anything other than continue for as long as he can while maybe someday finding an apprentice he can entrust the business to.
