"How about the lab? What were those bottles of stuff for?" Lia asked.
"How about the lab? What were those bottles of stuff for?" Lia asked.
(I have literally no idea what to do with Griffin rn, so justlretend he’s quietky listening)
Alice turned, pressing her forehead against the wall. "The experiments."
Eli nodded. "Injections. They injected genes to create better performers."
Alice nodded. "Right."
"That's absolutely horrible," Lia murmured.
Ana nodded in agreement. "Awful…."
Haile tugged at his chains, feeling his wrists slowly loosen. He pulled, grunting in pain. Finally, he broke loose. Rubbing his wrists, he jumped to his feet and took off in one of the hallways.
Oh crap)
(you're welcome)
Lia looked around the hallway after hearing a noise. "What was that?"
"What was what?" Jace asked, and Lia huffed.
"That crash! You guys didn't hear it?" Lia asked again.
Griffin swore, peeking out into the hall.
Eli turned invisible, gesturing for Lia to figure out how to do it. "I can go check."
Lia tried to mimic Eli, finally getting herself to turn invisible. "I'll go with you!"
Haile stumbled through the corridors, clutching his arm and swearing at his bleeding foot. He lurched through the dark, frantically patting the walls in search of a door.
As Lia and Eli float through the hallways, they hear footsteps getting louder and louder. "Hello?"
Eli put a finger to his lips, before remembering that Lia couldn't see him. "Shh."
"Right, sorry," Lia whispered back. "You don't think Haile or the ringmaster got away, do you?"
Eli shrugged. "Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised."
(I have a game soon so I'll be gone in an hour or so)
Lia tried to run her hand on the walls as they went, but obviously, they went straight through. "I don't think I'll ever get used to being a ghost."
(ok I'm going to a party in about an hour so I'll be gone until later tonight)
"I'm still not used to it. Almost fell through a wall earlier."
Griffin glanced at the others. “What do you think that was?”
Leo bit his lip. "Not sure. Could have been some funky pipe action."
"I'm expecting something worse than that," Jace said.
Griffin swallowed. “I hope not.”
"Obviously. We haven't exactly been raised in a positive environment."
He snorted. ”Understatement of the year.”
Lia popped into the room where the boys were, still invisible. "We haven't found anything yet. I heard footsteps though."
