Eli felt like he was drowning, but it didn't matter. Alice is feeling the pain, that's all that matters… Suddenly, he lost his ability to think. He wasn't Elliot now, he was Alice. Eli struggled to release himself from her body, but her screaming messed with his head and wouldn't let him focus.
Jace felt his sister's breathing stop, and let out a sob. "I love you," he whispered over the loud screaming.
The images flooded her mind. Terrible images that brought the pain anew and refreshed the tears now flowing freely. "Michelle…Zachary…." Alice choked, still crying and shaking.
Something in Eli, or rather Alice's, brain told him that he knew who Michelle and Zachary were but he had no recollection of ever meeting them. He reached out his arm and disconnected from Alice's body, rolling out onto the ground. He was visible again.
Alice collapsed, coughing violently and shaking uncontrollably. "You… little…" Through her tears Alice didn't manage to string together a sentence. She attempted to crawl away.
Lia felt weird. She felt like she was pushing through invisible water, trying to reach the surface. Everything that she could see was blurry like she was underwater. "Hello?"
Ana heard a small voice. "Hello?" She asked softly, looking around the room.
Eli coughed, sitting up on the floor. His head was spinning.
Leo heard Eli cough. He went over to him. "Are you OK?"
He nodded, standing up dizzily. "Tried to hurt Alice. I did, but it felt bad for me too."
"I'm right here!" Lia yelled, struggling to speak loud. "Hello? Can't anyone see me?"
"Well I walked through her body because I knew that it-wait, do you hear that?"
Leo looked up. "Hear what?"
Jace looked up. "…Lia?"
Lia nodded vigorously. "Yes, yes, it's me! Hello!!" She concentrated, trying to make herself visible.
"Lia! It's Lia!" Eli looked over at the unconscious body.
Lia could see everyone clearly now. She struggled to move towards Eli. "I'm right here!"
Eli laughed slightly and waved at Lia. "Hey! Just try to relax, it's easier to move that way."
Lia forced herself to become still and breathed, or at least breathed as much as a dead person could. She looks around the room and sees her brother next to her body. "Am I… dead?"
Ana nodded, still somewhat confused with the whole ghost thing.
Jace looked up, seeing a slight apparition of Lia.
Lia sighed heavily. "I couldn't even tell. One moment I was in extreme pain and the next it was pitch black, and now here I am."
Eli nodded. "Yeah, that sounds about right."
Lia looked over at Alice, who was still trying to crawl away. "What's her problem?"
"I went through her body. Might have possessed her for a little bit, too."
Leo looked over at Alice. "Should we stop her?" She was in a vulnerable state; if they wanted any sort of justice, now was the time.
Ana nodded, already standing up and heading after Alice.
Eli followed close behind. He wasn't about to admit it, but it was fun talking to Alice when it was just them and Ella. Now that she killed Lia though, things were different.
Jace stood up, hesitating. Lia floated over to him.
"Hey, I'll be right here. It'll be like I'm still alive."
(quick question, and I don't know if I've asked this before, but what time zones are you guys in? I'm in Texas, and it's 8:48 in the morning.)
