Ava sat on the snow covered beach watching small peaces of ice go back and forth with the tide. She snuggled deeper into a coat she had stolen to keep her warm and pulled out a tiny knife, rolled up the sleeve and fiddled with the blade She sighed and stood up looking around when she smelled something different. Something other than cold and salt. She smelled food. Real food, meat to be exact. Ava looked down at herself, she was cold, her lips were chapped and she was skinny, too skinny. When was the last time I ate? she thought to her self. She look up again, the smell slowly growing fainter. Ava made up her mind and started walking toward the smell.

(You can take the lead on when you get claimed.)

Chiron waited slightly uncomfortably while the child was in the bathroom. He looked down at Azriel when he reappeared. "We wait for your godly parent to claim you. Which parent are you missing at home? Mom or dad?" He asked. "While we wait for you to get claimed, we'll show you around camp, show you what we'll do here. Either the cabin leader of your godly parents will give you the rundown, or you'll be placed with the Hermes kids and they'll show you the ropes until you are claimed. One thing is for certain, you are safe here. No one can hurt you. Though you might get a little bruised from training. But that's for another day. Dinner is ready. Let's get you cleaned up and fed, then we'll worry about the rest later."

Astrid ate in silence, then rested her chin on her palm with a sigh, drumming her fingers on the table. She glanced around the mess hall, accidentally making eye contact with a camper across the room. She looked away, hoping that the camper wouldn't approach her.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Nicolas looked around as he ate, watching the campers. He liked to people watch sometimes. As the son of the goddess of revenge, he liked to keep up to date with any conflicts with campers. The one thing he truly was good at, revenge. Only time campers really came to him. He caught a young girl's eye across the mess hall. He held her gaze with a raised eyebrow, as if posing a question. What do you want?

Amelia kept glancing at Wynn. The jealously was starting to pool inside of her and she hated it. She had no reason to be jealous. They were just friends. That was all. And Wynn could be friends with whoever he wanted to, even date them if he wanted. She couldn't do anything about that. She was in no position for any of that. So why was she so jealous. She couldn't have feelings for him could she? No, no, she couldn't. She was a daughter of Aphrodite. She was the cabin leader and the most popular girl there. But she couldn't help but wonder what they would be like together. "Hey, you have to stop staring before the other notice," her sister, Ivy, whispered, snapping Amelia out of her thoughts.

"Yeah, sorry. I will, am." Amelia turned her gaze back to her meal and remained silent.

@PastelTart

Astrid could feel the boy's gaze on her. She looked up and sure enough, he was looking straight at her. She glanced behind her, hoping maybe he was looking past her, but she already knew there was no one there. Oh boy… She thought, as she turned her gaze back to the boy. What do I do? Astrid raised her hand in an awkward wave before turning her attention back to her meal.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Nicolas' eyebrow raised even further as the girl waved at him. No one waved at him. He wasn't the most friendly-looking person. His fingers played with rings on his fingers, watching the girl, even as she focused her attention on her meal. He was intrigued now. Not enough to compromise himself by trying to form a relationship of sorts. But at least enough to want to watch from afar. For now at least.

@Tired-but-passionate

He smiled at her as she talked, he couldn't care less about what others were saying about him talking to someone from the Hermes cabin, so he just stayed there though occasionally he would cast a glance over at Amelia, he didn't want to rush this interaction bc he wanted to prove he was sincere…but he also didn't want Amelia alone and he warned to spend more time with her.
He looked back at Dove, "Well then, I would love to be friends with you as well. I'm glad you'll be okay but hey I know we're unfamiliar but I still am always an open shoulder. I don't mind listening to whatever, whenever your comfortable with doing so." He smiled at her, "I should probably go…I don't want to take up too much of your time and overstay my welcome."

“Thank you,” she murmured, though it was probably drowned out by the other sounds in the room. “Of course. I wouldn’t want to keep you.”
She turned back to her food, honestly feeling somewhat better than before. Ash seemed to be feeling it too.
“He was nice,” he commented. He raised his head. “Are you okay?”
She nodded, moving to lean onto his shoulder. Ash didn’t seem to mind it. He knew she was probably tired now. “You should eat,” he said.
“You’re such a mom, Ash,” Dove said, leaning back and shaking her head.
He laughed. “And you’re such a baby.”
She pouted at him, but humor glinted in her eye, and in that moment his headache completely disappeared. She went back to eating her food.

He got up to go back to Amelia but then realized she was now surrounded by her siblings, and he knew he wasn't welcomed with them so instead of walking back to her with a smile and a new friend, he decided to trudge to a different table to sit by himself, until he realized he needed to get food.
He didn't really feel like eating at that point so he just grabbed a cup and filled it with some sweet tea and moved to sip at it while trying not to stare too much at Amelia though he couldn't seem to help it.
stop it, you know it's not going to happen and it will just cause her trouble
He scolded himself, looking down at his cup of sweet tea.

Ava stumbled up a hill with a single pine tree on top. When she reached the top, she saw people eating and talking and laughing. but them she ignored, she did't need people, she needed food. After standing there for a second, reviling in the smell of the meat, Ava started to make her way to what looked to be a mess hall were everyone was eating. But, just as she got close, she sank onto her knees. Unable to muster the strength to continue. Slowly she lowered herself on to the ground, and the moment her head hit the snow, she passed out from the lack of food and energy.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Amelia saw Wynn finally walk away from Dove. Her hope dropped a little as she realized he wasn't walking towards her. Her siblings. Right, of course. They weren't really supposed to be close friends. She wasn't sure why or when the disdain for the two cabins came to be but it was getting to be really annoying. But Amelia was too much of a coward to try to break that tension. She didn't want to be an outcast. So instead, she sent him a small smile and even squeezed in a wave, hoping he would see it.

Unfortunately he was too focused on his sad little cup of sweet tea to notice her waving at him, or smiling at him. Though that didn't stop him from thinking about her smile, and how it always lit up the room, he slammed his fist on the table. He couldn't stop thinking about her, unfortunately the slam lead to him spilling his sweet tea on his shirt and pants.
"Oh for the love-" he grumbled as he quickly got up and tried to dry it off with some napkins, he probably earned a few laughs as he moved to love the dinning hall. As he was making his way back to the forge he noticed a girl lying down in the snow, he kneeled down.
"Hey you probably shouldn't-" he realized that they were asleep most likely, though he had no idea how. He quickly picked her up and brought her back into the dinning hall with a slight shiver, he moved over towards the hearth and place her near the fire, trying to get her warm to see if she would wake up.

Lilian had her lily pad in her arms, and she was running for her life, her feet were bare. Hitting the cold ground and pushing her as fast as she could go, as far as she could go no matter how much it hurt or how cold she was.
She just knew she needed to get away.
Away from the humans that had taken her home, away from the ones that were trying to hurt her now.
Ash…Ash…where are you.. she thought as she was breathing heavily, she though about him talking about a camp….and sje was trying to go there now, if she did she could find ash ….he could help her, she winced as she felt her breathes coming out in shorter gasps and she moved to hide behind a tree, trying to catch her breath. Her chest hurt from how hard she had been running, her heart beat so fast she thought it might explode.
Then she heard the voices.
"she's over this way I saw here! She can't be far off!"
She froze in terror, No no no- they had to be farther back she ran so hard…
She moved to push off of the tree and Sprint off again hearing them as they spotted her running again.
She noticed a pine tree, up on a hill surrounded by snow and she ran fast er and harder then she ever ran before, and she seemed to have made it, only to slip and fall next to the tree, she scrambled away from the humans in desperation before they seemed to run into something when trying to get to her. They couldn't get to her.
She…she was safe…
At least for now.

Wendi had finally stopped appearing to fade from existence having calmed herself down. She glanced around to see a large commotion going on within the mess hall and shrank down in her seat. She took a deep breath in and out and waited for everything to calm down, occasionally glancing over at Dove.

@Tired-but-passionate

Soon they both finished eating, and as Dove moved to clean up her space, they saw Wynn rush in with the girl. Dove watched, confused and muttering to herself, hoping the girl was alright. Meanwhile Ash looked to Half-Blood Hill on instinct. As a guardian satyr he knew new demigods could enter the camp through barrier on the hill, and he’d never seen the girl Wynn was holding before. It would be wise to check the hill, in case there were monsters.
But when he looked, instead he found… another girl. Stumbling through the snow, looking almost as weak as the girl Wynn brought inside. But something was different, something he couldn’t put his finger on…
He touched a hand to Dove’s shoulder. “I’ll be back.”
Turning to him, her shoulders slumped, but he kept his hand there. “Where are you going?”
“There’s another person on the hill…”
So many things happening. Dove was getting more tired by the minute. “Alright. You go, I don’t want to go out in the cold. I hope she’s alright.”
He rubbed her shoulder, a silent gesture of farewell. He nodded, then went outside, trekking up the slope. As he got closer, the more he was certain that she wasn’t a demigod, like the other girl. The way this girl’s skin looked cracked and wilted, the way her feeble limbs moved. He moved faster with each step, knowing the girl needed warmth and shelter, fast.

Lilian curled up on the hill, she had managed to drag herself a good bit away from the pine tree border, but had eventually just curled up on the ground with how cold she was and how much her feet hurt now that her adrenaline had warn off, she held her lily pad to her chest, trying to keep it safe with her as she curled up and shivered, she felt as if she may pass out if she stayed here but she didn't know what else to do.
Ash…help…

@Tired-but-passionate

I knew it.
He knelt over her, quickly studying her. She smelled like a nymph now, as her scent had been muted from the snow and distance. He saw her shiver, so it didn’t look like she was completely unconscious.
“Lillian, what are you doing here?" he muttered. "You should be hibernating."
Ash took her in his arms, holding her close so she could really feel his warmth. After looking back to the mess hall, he hesitated. Nymphs were usually pretty skittish of humans, and bringing her inside would probably only make things worse for her. After a moment of thought, he had an idea. He moved away from the mess hall, going towards the pond instead, silently apologizing to Dove all the while.
“Lilly, can you hear me? What's going on? It's gonna be okay, I promise."

(Do I sense bonding in the future?)

He was still staring, she could feel it. She stood and left the mess hall. Might as well find somewhere quieter. She stepped into the snow, pausing to glance back at the boy before heading off into the snow covered trees.

@EtherealDreamer

Azriel looked up at the centaur gazingly and smiled a toothy grin. "Honestly, this place is awesome." He said truthfully "but I don't have any spare clothes, the only thing I have is the clothes im wearing, and this." He said pulling a small pink crystal out of his pocket "my dad always told me my mom left it for me, I've had it since I could remember to hold onto it." He added, proudly, he wasn't one to remember things, but he had managed to keep the pink crystal safe for half of his life.

He nudged the grass with the tip of his shoe "i'm missing my mom, but I think you're sadly mistaken, my dad said she died in childbirth." He explained, his brows scrunched close together in confusion. "I don't think that im a demigod, but you're the centaur, so I guess you must be right, though I dont which goddess she would be." He added quietly, pictures of his mom that his dad has kept framed in their house when he was little flashed through his mind. His mom, Asian with beautiful hazel eyes and slim features, her long wavy black hair that reached her middle back, her skin milky and pale, but smooth, her beauty mark in the exact spot as his. These thoughts caused him to sigh. "Lead the way I guess." He said to Chiron, giving his best attempt at a smile.
