"Is there a med tent or some shit? Better be fully stocked…" Ninon mumbled out the last part as she begrudgingly followed the mentors, her outward appearance burning with emo rage. Internally though, she was glad for this cinnamon roll boy lightening the mood.
"Indeed! You're gonna see how this goes down! You get to watch us kick some ass!" Mr. Walsh beamed.
"No need to be coarse, Mr. Walsh." A new man, this one a short, thin, weedy man with long, dirty-blonde hair said. This one was packing some serious heat, with a pair of 9mm pistols. He adjusted his black beanie.
Ceres turned to Ninon.
"Why of course there is!"
Alex was tired of watching. All she knows for sure is that Ninon was awesome. As she entered the camp, she looked around, obviously not impressed. "So can we actually know some relevant information? I don't care about your sword." She glared harshly at the tall man and rolled her eyes.
"The information comes after everything's all said and done." Ceres said. "All you need to know right now, is that these three are part of a four-man ensemble! And the fourth should be showing up any time now!"
"I'll just wait then…", Yang muttered. "Y'know, I'd be very glad if you told us what is going on.", she said louder.
"Do they have an awesome weapon too?" Teddy asked from his spot, trying to peek at the adult's weapons with curiosity.
"Good, good, good… I'm gonna check that out…" Ninon trailed off, grumbling and mumbling to herself and not looking up at Ceres. Her fingers had unknowingly begun to pick at her fingernails. I probably have the weakest power here, being a Support rather than a Tank or a Fighter… "Are there weights or a gym or a physical training regimen? Weapon training? Education and classes? Anything other than gathering random people together to probably kill them?"
" There are… But you're not going alone…" She said. "Mr. Darwin-" she was cut off.
"~Yes of course ma'am, I shall accompany her to the med-tent and gym…~" The fourth and final mentor, a shockingly tall msn with a black goatee said. This one had a large scythe, black, strong, light, with a sheetmetal design the same as Walsh's sword.
Ceres beamed.
"Ladies and gentlemen, your mentors, the Fiur Horsemen! Darwin, Walsh, Crowley, and Farnsworth! But you know their real names!"
"Nice to meet you?" Yang didn't mean for it to sound so much like a question, but then again, she didn't know if it was a good thing to meet them or not.
"Death, famine, war, and… I forget the last one," Tessa said, looking carefully at the scythe as if she expected to be stabbed any minute.
(Lex knows this… But they're all the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse! If you didn't get it, Walsh is War, Crowley is Conquest/Plague, Farnsworth is Famine, and Darwin is the head honcho, Death!)
(Huh. What's this from?)
(The Bible… They're the ones who cause the Apocalypse in Revelations!)
"Conquest, War, Famine, and… Death," Ninon nodded to the new arrival that would be accompanying her at the last name. "How symbolic," she muttered out before trying to shrug it off. "I suppose you could teach me how to wield a scythe like that?"
Ceres turned to Nino.
"Now do you see whuly I am so confident as to let these things in…" She said. "Go along now, Darwin…"
"~Of course… All four of us together is overkill frankly…~" Darwin grumbled.
(Huh. What's this from?)
(The Bible… They're the ones who cause the Apocalypse in Revelations!)
(Oof I should know this.)
"Ugh… yeah, I do. Good move," Ninon gave in a bit and let a small smile escape towards Ceres before dropping it and looking to Darwin. Huh, so Death has a goatee? Interesting choice…
(Huh. What's this from?)

(Oof I should know this.)
(For the purpose of the story, the Camp Director Ceres [who is Ceres from Greek mythology] has bound them to herself, and they are without their Horses and thus much less powerful…)
"Ugh… yeah, I do. Good move," Ninon gave in a bit and let a small smile escape towards Ceres before dropping it and looking to Darwin. Huh, so Death has a goatee? Interesting choice…
"~Well I could hardly show you my true self.~" He said, responding to her thoughts. "~And I can teach you to wield a scythe… Come along now.~"
"Okay, I understand that… but a goatee?! You do you I suppose…" Ninon attempted to joke with Darwin as she followed him to whichever location he was leading her. I wonder, can you teach me more than just how to wield a scythe? She indirectly asked through her thoughts. I would like to learn more than just one weapon…
"~Stand still…~" He said, not talking with her telepathically for no other reason than the fact that Ceres would be unhappy with him if he broke the mind of her new favorite.

Meanwhile, back at the gate, Al kept a lookout for the spirit. Walsh started to chuckle.
"Our spirit may have divulged from the path that the councilors have set him on-" He was interrupted by a terrible blood-curdling howl.
"No. He's coming." Ceres pouted.
The mentors got into position.
"OoOh!" Teddy muttered, he really really wanted to see them use their weapons. If he knew how the weapons performed in battle and what metals they were made of, with enough time, he could recreate them.
Ninon let out a disgruntled groan but did as Darwin said and stood still. She was about to open her mouth to ask what was going on, but shut up as she figured she would find out soon anyway. What kind of camp is this supposed to be anyways…
"~Get ready to, as my master says, 'get fucked by knowledge'…~" He beamed a fraction of his knowledge into her mind.
~~~
The mentors unsheathed their weapons, as a very large thing, like a hyena, with a fanged snout on the back of its head already, and also an elongated, plumed tail, marched around the corner.
"Stand back and you'll be fine…" Ceres said. "Wouldn't want you to get soaked in It's fluids!"
"Uh, fluids? I'm only used to some fluids and I guarantee those aren't what we're talking about," Alex muttered. All this weapon talk was boring her. She just wanted to see where she's living, the food… whatever will convince her this is better than home.
The thing charged them, feet pounding against the ground, but leaving no tracks.
Crowley's fingers twitched as it came towards them, babbling profusely.
It was restrained by something that glinted in the light like spiderwebs, that cut it in multiple places as it bumped into the invisible wall.
The thing yelped in pain, spitting acid at them that Walsh blocked with his sword, which remained unharmed by the acid.
Alvis gasped in surprise as he realized that Mr. Crowley had restrained the beast by creating a net out of his wres, which he'd latched around a pillar that was part of the Dining Hall.
"See, I told you!" Walsh said. "Fluids."
Tessa automatically shifted into a defensive position, her hands formed into fists at her sides. She was about to charge directly at the monster, but forced herself to stay still. You don't have any cool weapons, fancy skills, or resistance to acid… is fighting really the best thing to do right now?
Ceres layed her hand on Tessa's shoulder.
"I told you to sit back and watch… They may seem incompetent, but they will keep you safe!" She flashed a smile of assurance.
"~Get ready to, as my master says, 'get fucked by knowledge'…~" He beamed a fraction of his knowledge into her mind.
~~~
"I'm already starting to like your master–" Ninon let out a chuckle before being cut off as her mind was invaded with fucking knowledge from Darwin. Her vision faded in and out for several minutes as her brain processed the information, though she still managed to stay standing upright.
What knowledge? Eyebrow wiggle as I wish someone would take my poor Teddy under their wing. I'm looking at you Shuri, wink wonk.//
